When your coach finishes the lesson out of breath, you know it's been a good one.
I noticed Paddy getting out of breath on other videos. If it was me I would get a medical. Especially my heart and valves checked.
It’s from all the cigs he stamped out as a kid😂😂😂
Best golf videos online hands down thank you for taking the time. Those who know come here first.
Paddy's golf tips have helped me more than any other UA-cam golf videos... and I've watched most of them..
Padraig, I´ve being a great fan for over a decade! I havent golf since I had a hart attack 9 years ago. At that time I use to shoot around 85. Today was the first time I went to a drive range in 9 years! Hit 2 Buckets of balls, because of your youtube channel. Thank you!!!! Hope you you get doble the inspiration you gave me!!!!!!!!! I am 55 years old now by the way. If you ever come to Brazil who know we can play a golf match!
God bless you!
Such a great lesson. The beauty of Padraig’s teaching is he does it with actions, feelings and dynamic movement. Awesome lesson.
Thanks Padraig, what a revelation. That’s the clearest explanation for the leg action I’ve ever watched. To be honest I thought that at the top of the backswing my weight should all be on my right leg.
Padraig is a throwback to the old days of the tour. When players were teaching professionals as well. Some of these young players can't articulate the how, what, when, and where. Ask them why do they do this or that and their coach will answer for them. Great stuff Padraig. I love your contributions to Bob Rotellas book "The 15th Club".
Love the passion and energy you put into golf, thanks for the great update on footwork
Wow, there are so many gold nuggets of instruction in this video. Padraig is an awesome teacher as well as an awesome golfer.
Watched the video twice yesterday morning, played in the afternoon and the "think up only, and the down will take care of itself" produced instant results. What a short cut.
One of the golf greats. Any amateurs or professionals can learn a lot from padraig tips.
Paddy got the old school moves, OG! Beautiful swing, so free. Great craic.
.. The great thing about this level of detail is that it acts as a template/example with which I reckon most half decent golfers will figure it out. Padraig is a natural born teacher, no doubt about it, thank you very much 👏
Great to see you back!!! Thanks for all the tips. Really hope to see you in Canada one day
Oh ya Padraig is the man !
Thanks this is the best on UA-cam ! 👍
Brilliant video Pádraig. I remember watching you and Bob Torrance (RIP) on the driving range doing the squat drill and wondering what the hell is that about. Thank you for Paddy’s Tips.
10:05 the comedy stylings of Padraig Harrington everyone! 🤣
Thank you for just the best explanation of footwork! The best UA-cam video and Finally something simple. Thank you and I wish you all the best !
I frickin’ love how winded Paddy gets. Thank you sir for sharing your passion 👍🏼
Love that you take the time to make these instructional videos, world class golf by a world class golfer! Thanks mate!
This is a brilliant lesson. The two-step drill has been around for ages (Bob Toski must have got it from somewhere 40 years ago). A single step forward, however, seems relatively new and all the advice is to make the move as soon as the club swings back to P1. Paddy's advice to do it at P2 gives the golfer a much better chance of completing the backswing. It felt great in the garden and hope springs eternal.
Padraig, without a doubt, one of the best instructional videos I have ever seen on foot/leg work and ground forces. Thank you very much and can't wait to experiement.
Absolutely fantastic!!
Pure gold, thank you Padraig.
Playing golf 20 yrs & this is my biggest struggle! I dont use my legs at all. Had a lesson 2day and my Pro got me to do step drills! & told my to stay of you tube! 😂 but when ur addicted to the game wat can u do 🤷♂️😁 Thanks Paddy from 1 Dub to another 💙 watch this space 💪
Grateful for your videos! Truly appreciate your help
The best tips by far! By the way, I love it when Lanny tries to explain your move on the broadcast!!
Thank you Paddy. Thanks for your time !
Such a great lesson Paddy good show!
whew..my first drive of the spring is gonna be .. so... way .. somewhere.. I can't wait. Love it!
Thx Paddy! Love the way you describe things. Very easy to imagine using your descriptions.
love paddy's golf tips!!!!
Brilliant! Thanks for the coaching session!
What a great explanation from a major champion of the actual feelings you should experience, his passion for golf really comes through as he wants everyone to just play better and enjoy the game, I will never now how much Paddy has worked incredibly hard to get the ultimate championship by winning the Open but what a great man, I feel like I could meet him at the driving range in the next bay & he would give me the best advice regardless of how great he his, big fan , keep it going Paddy
Love your sense of humor and your lesson. I'll be working on the footwork.
Simply excellent Padraig !!
The most game changing video of the year. After ACL reconstruction, I lost a lot of power. This video provides a way to generate power the proper way and pain free. Wow. Thank you for this.
Totally awesome. Another great video. Paddy and I have this in common, we can't help ourselves but to have to say something if we see something busted or something futile. It's almost a compulsion, definitely personality trait. My game is better off for this passion. Thanks Padraig.
This is Dr. Kwon stuff and really modern bio mechanics! It is also a great example of why Paddy is always eagerly awaited by most of us. No bullpoop and no rabbit holes . This is tough stuff for those of us taught the swing in a certain way. I have been working on it for a year but it is a tough change. You likely will need professional help to do it correctly.
Without a doubt Padraig offers the best REAL golf advice i have ever seen.
Thank you Paddy, and also for the Dublin travel tips!😮
The step-up feeling is a great idea. Thank you, sir.
Brilliant explanation Padraig.. Now to try and get the feel for the movements 💡👍
Underrated video this one, so good 👏👏
Great to seeyou again Paddy!
God love ya' Paddy. We love Paddy's Golf Tips! Keep 'em comin' laddie!
I appreciate your dedication 👌
This one and golf tip 24 are absolute key, great video's by the way, so well explained and bit a bit of humor ta boo. 👏 👏
Amazing tips❤
thank you for this lesson i am glad when pro like you take is time for us amateur
Great stuff, thanks for taking the time is right.
Effffen love this drill! Love Paddy’s enthusiasm! Awesome coaching! If I had this back in my high school days…..might of done some damage! Kids these days are blessed by Free Coaching! Just choose your rabbit hole! Haha
Absolutely classic Im working on squeezing my bollix together 😂😂😂
Thank goodness for Padraig's comment there... otherwise that'd be way too much information 😳
At least it’s in the plural some aren’t so lucky
Thanks coach!
Your the best ❤
I'll bet Paddy does a great robot dance 😂 great lesson by the way 👍 nice one Paddy. Playing golf in Dumfries next week will give this a go
Love your work. thank you for your great videos
Hi Paddy, thank you so much!
Genius level info in this vid
Thanks again Padraig, its good and detailed. I like the bounce back feeling drill. I will try it out, because when I am trying to apply the left leg downforce, my problem is my left leg 'collapsing' by bending that knee too much, or rather too long timing wise
Thanks Paddy I'm still struggling with my driver but will perceiver
Thanks Padraig. Is Scottie Sheffler an extreme version (and excellent demonstration) of stamping out the cigarette with both feet?
Man you working hard to show us this breathing hard too we appreciate you and thanks play well on tour
Great video, Paddy. This is away and by far the best video I've ever seen on timing in the golf swing in relation to footwork and body movement. We can't all do it as well as you; in particular, I haven't figured out how to squeeze my bollocks, but I'll try. 😂😂
Another great lesson! Hope to see you at the Hoag Classic.
Great stuff
Absolutely awesome, as all the comments agree; Patrick the SuperSpeed guys should just link to this module where you explain everything about golf ground force in less than 20 mins...!
This was a great video to watch! Great compilation of concepts of footwork for me... PS - the edit on the jump at 10:05 was incredible ahhaha
Go raibh maith agat Padraig, a very detailed lesson on the proper footwork, hopefully will help my early extension.
Thanks Paddy.
Thanks Paddy great stuff …I’m off for a lay down after that 😂
pure,,,, gold
Great content, get this man some oxygen
Boy, I wish I was watching this when I began golfing! Of course, Padraig would have been in elementary school then🏌️♂️😁
i realy understand what you mean ido the same at the baseball swing thank padraig👍
My knees & hips are aching just watching this. Would have loved this coaching when i was in my teens & off 6 h/cap. Would have improved distance which i lacked then (& still do!!).
Wow Thank you
Mr. Harrington would you please please do a video on what your wrists do in the back swing. You have talked about the transition but not how to get the club in plane in the back swing.
I don't know why you share so much great content, but I am very glad you do. As I understand it, you seem to say that the forward movement of planting onto the lead foot begins to happen by the time the hands are waist high on the backswing. Given there is such a small amount of time between the time the club starts to move back and the time the hands are roughly waist high (and given you are not someone who sways off the ball in the backswing), do you have an opinion on whether it would be ok to simply keep more wait on the lead side early on in the swing? Seems like it might be easier to load the front leg as you discuss. Thanks again. Great video.
Great
Paddy does great teaching vids. While doing the one step drills front and back foot, I noticed that my weight shifted with which ever foot moved. This seemed to create a conflict with where the weight was when the swing was near the top.. If I stepped forward, my weight was forward with the swing at the top, but if I stepped backward the weigth was on my back foot when the swing was at the top.. I have no doubt the conflict simply comes from a fine line of weight shift from backswing to downswing but wish Paddy would have explained this a bit.
Great video really makes sense Could you tell me the company and the band used in video.
Thank you
'squeezed my bollocks together' best tip for 2024! thanks Padraig! :D
Stomping out that cigarette - Internally rotating that back leg. GREAT EXPLATION! Like a boxer internally rotating on a punch, rotating that leg is more powerful if you were kicking something or someone. Do it sitting down from a chair for the feel.
Thnx Paddy a huge fan of you never ever had such a detailed lesson on what gives me more insight a ways to practice on footwork which is hugely important even when I am now sixty this is improving my drives enormously even longer now than when I was fifty haha
MJ's got nothing on that vertical 😉 Thanks Paddy.. big fan! Appreciate the tips.
My coach
Can you make a video on distance control for putting thanks
I need to come see you for a lesson. What day works?
Dagnammit Paddy I was trying to do this and now my old knees are aching like heck. Any tips for modifications for bad knees other than taking up snooker? Great to see you back, love the channel.
You could try it only with the driver. That'll be about 12 shots on the round. Or do it less and lose distance. I think sore knees is gonna just happen though 😉
One of the best teachers on the web!
Padraig's golf tips are like if Gandalf was offering to train people on how to become a wizard
I can't be the only one who loses his mind over those heat maps of the feet through the swing. All I have been concentrating on is the early transfer of weight, the direction of force is new to me. Such a great simple explanation, think maybe this Patrick guy could make a living out of golf, although he's started a little late.😂
Super star ✨✨✨👏👏👏👏
Would it be useful to try working on this with an impact bag?
Help us please Padraig. You are our only hope.
95% of golfers are plagued by chunking the ball. Everything we do is a compensation to not chunk it on the course. We cant even chip without chunking.
We dont know how to use the tool.
We can all learn in 1 day to hit a nail on the head with a hammer and by the end of the day we can naturally add tremendous power.
“Straight jacket golf” instructors wrap us up like a pretzel and think we’ll be able to swing freely and powerfully.
How do we use the tool and how do we get the club sweeping at the correct height at impact?
Teach us that and we can take care of the rest.
Had a golf coach years ago that said "pinch the dime" referring to squeezing the glutes
Fantastic paddy, I started smoking 40 a day and have gained 50 yards on my drives and lowered my handicap by 10 shots 🚬
I didn't have Padraig Harrington teaching me how to properly squeeze my bollocks on my life bingo card, but here we are. Thank you Paddy.
Wonderful Padraig, I agree with all you describe. However your execution is you. It's the way you swing and not what you rehearsed in the drills. Take note of your left step drill in the beginning. See how you lead with the left heel. You did it again in the last recap. Land that flared left heel before you spiral up the left leg. This gives the maximum Internal wind before you go external. Landing the heel helps to drag the sacrum forward so you can post vertically up the left side. Footwork is so important. I'm sure you played a bit of soccer in your day. The plant foot is so important.
Great tip! Now I'm going to start smoking so I can improve my golf game (stomping out the cigarette), thank you Paddy :)
These vids are great, but you missed the opportunity for a happy Gilmore swing!
Paddy I'd the best
