    Loved the emphasis on noticing the breath--so often these days that is left out of instruction videos. Thanks!

      I'm happy to hear you appreciated paying attention to the breath. It's one of our greatest tools and teachers! Thanks for taking the time to comment. All the best to you.

    What do you suggest for someone who can't straighten their legs? 💜

    • @DarcieClarkYoga
      @DarcieClarkYoga  3 роки тому

      Do you mean they can never straighten their legs or just can't straighten them in particular movements/stretches? Could you give me an example of what movement you're talking about? Even just a minute mark in the video would help. Thanks!

      @DarcieClarkYoga  3 роки тому +1

      @@hypeupqueen9344 Thanks for letting me know. For the leg movements practiced around the 28 minute mark, those could be done keeping the knee bent so you would feel the movements more from the hips instead of the knees. As for the standing poses, many are done with the legs straight, but could definitely be practiced with bent knees. The shape may look a little different from what I'm showing, buy you'd still get the benefit of what's happening in the shoulders, spine, and hips. Let me know if you have any other specific questions around certain movements/poses. I'm happy to offer suggestions. I'm also available for private online sessions!

      @@hypeupqueen9344 And, you've inspired me to possibly make a Chair Yoga class for people who aren't able to straighten their knees. If you'd like that, let me know!

    Can't plank

    • @DarcieClarkYoga
      @DarcieClarkYoga  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Eileen. You could try the sun salutations with your hands higher to make it more accessible. You could even put your hands on the edge of a table or countertop. Decreasing the incline for plank will make it easier to do so there is less pressure on your wrists and less strenuous on your shoulder muscles. Give it a try next time you do the sequence - place your hands higher for the sun salutation sequence and let me know if it helps. Wishing you all the best!
