      People like the Joker are insane although Heath Ledges Joker isn’t insane he’s actually extremely intelligent maybe even as smart as Batman so Joker would be seen as an asset by other criminals and crime organisations due to his experience and ability to cross the moral line which is why criminals like Black Mask Ras Al Ghul Penguin etc use the Joker for stuff they don’t wanna do themselves or lack the experience or moral code as the Joker he goes all the way no hesitation or fear which is why he’s so popular in Heath Ledge’s Joker for example there’s theory’s that he’s ex military maybe even special forces as his vast knowledge of tactical situations where he can plan right down to last detail is purely genius and efficient not to mention his high experience with explosives and weapons but it’s just a theory

    My head canon always has been since jokers actor is dead this joker had already had his thrills and fun so he doesn’t really see a need to break out of Arkham or do anything. He’s basically won in a sense and there’s nothing really for him to chase anymore. My guess is that joker either stayed insane just doing god knows what or he might’ve vanished form the face of the planet doing a new identity.

    Being sent to Arkham for Ledger’s joker has another effect: Ledger’s joker is far from insane - in fact he doesn’t like people calling him crazy, or a freak. Being sent to Arkham both would anger the joker, but would also show that Gotham - without Batman - still doesn’t fully understand the joker. They just think he’s a crazed lunatic - but he’s in fact a very smart and very tactical terrorist - albeit completely psychopathic.

    • @jmeds94
      @jmeds94 Рік тому +18

      I love it when people understand this. Even in the comics, he’s not actually insane. He clearly has psychopathy, but he isn’t suffering from psychosis. His biggest shtick is that he always gets off on an insanity plea after the terrible things that he’s done. The leading theory is that he is actually MORE sane than everyone else in Gotham because- he’s aware that he’s a comic book character.

      He’s clearly a psychopath. In the comics I would even call it textbook. You would have to be in order to commit those acts. He lacks the ability to feel empathy and guilt for his actions. In different iterations he does care about his own life. And like you said, he cares about the point he’s making, that’s the end goal driving his narcissism.

Just like psychopathy, antisocials dont have empathy for other people. In the comic books, perhaps he is a psychopath but in this specific itteration The Dark Knight, he is antisocial. I know that Christopher Nolan is fascinated by soviet history, & specifically the show trials of the 20's, where radical, destabilising figures, who had fought for the revolution, suddenly became enemy number 1 in the new "utopia". Since the new leaders required stability.
    I'm quite sure that the joker would have fallen into that role in tDKR. Either facing a show trial, or evading banes forces to avoid a show trial.

But the riddler , mr freeze, bane, clayface , scarecrow. Manbat. Professor pyg , killer croc, szazs, etc.. belong in arkham and not in prison. Bane and szazs are debatable. But joker knows exactally that what he is doing is considered wrong , he knows what the consequences of his deeds will be , he plays chaotic but is a masterplanner , he is a psychopath with a nihilistic/absurdistic philosophy , he might look crazy but he is sane .

    In The Dark Knight original cut, there's a version when the Joker escapes and fades in the dark of the night because Nolan wanted the Joker back in the 3rd film to be the main antagonist along with Mistery Man (rumor). Sadly, Ledger passed away so Nolan had to change his cut in post prod and rewrite everything to prepare TDKR. Maybe that's why the last act is less good than the two previous ones.

      I heard that as well. But, considering how big of a performance Heath put on in the Dark Knight I highly doubt his role would just be a cameo. Who knows ? Maybe Bane wouldn’t have even been in the 3rd had it been for Ledger’s death. We’ll never know.

    I think that was a mistake. There are no current Hollywood actors that could of replaced Heath, but there is definitely someone out there that could of brought the same unnecessary creepy essence and vibe. They Should of done an open casting call with them having to recreate Heaths version to the T in order to be casted.
    This has been the only successful DC movie and they canceled it over one actor, for shame.
