- PowerTrip Festival is a brand new heavy metal event set in Indio, California featuring 6 of the biggest bands in rock history: Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, ACDC, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, and Tool. But are the price for tickets actually worth it?

I am so glad to have seen Rush, Ozzy with Randy Rhodes, Van Halen, ACDC both with Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Stevie Ray Vaughn plus a ton of other bands MULTIPLE times at a fraction of the cost, and these guys were in their prime! Who remembers paying only $8.00 for each concert? lol Hell, I was just a kid in Jr. High, but I could still afford to go to concerts with my parents weekly $5 allowance! If I cut just two lawns I could buy drinks, food and t-shirts and still have money left over! Even the festivals were cheap! The yearly "Texas Jam" festival in the Cotton bowl was around $15 for 1 ticket! If they are going to charge that much for Power Trip then they will have to gather all of the Dragon Balls, summon Shemron and resurrect Elvis, Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury to be added to the lineup to justify that outrageous price.
Trade mark infringement using power trips name in the same business. This sounds like a Fyre Fest being set up in the us. Someone is looking to screw over everyone in metal. Way too expensive for nothing.
I just wanted to see AC/DC live…just once…
Me too! I saw everyone from 1977-1986 then moved to CA where I also see many shows. Can’t afford to go as much anymore, sad. And scalping tickets used to be illegal, now it’s not?,!
🤓🤓🤓
Those are some Damn fine memories!
I didn’t expect to be able to go, and was righteously pissed about the prices. A relative decided to buy GA tickets without telling me as a surprise, and I’m thrilled to be able to go, but it shouldn’t have been so infeasible in the first place. When so much of metal music is about freedom and rejecting the abuse of authority, having a concert that’s basically just for the wealthy seems pretty tone deaf, no matter how amazing the lineup is. I’m thrilled to be able to see these folks perform, as I wouldn’t get to see them in my lifetime otherwise, but the organizers shouldn’t be gatekeeping these experiences or pricing the average person out.
I completely agree!
Exactly. I am a capitalist... except when it comes to music ha ha. Metal was about passion, rebellion, kinship and so many other things. Making money? Sure, of course, but it was never about just the buck, and that's how these shows of late feel like. And rowdier crowds make for better shows anyway. It's part of the package.
For that kind of money they need to add more bands.
@@Montrealmancanadiens You couldnt afford this concert either. Im going. But i took out a loan..
Bee I've seen OZZY many times including OZZY'S first 2 solo tours with Randy Rhodes I couldn't afford this show in California I've never seen Metallica I live in Texas close to the coast Metallica has 3 shows in August at the spaceship in Arlington,Texas with the stage being in the center of the floor the seats I can afford are after taxes will be 138.60 not bad although 40 years ago I paid 8.00 bucks inflation OZZY ROCKS
Believe it or not, the seats were filled!!! And that was just tonight, Fri Oct 6! I have GA, and if they did not have the two side screens, you wouldn’t see shit!! Unless your crammed in the front.
I took my 13 year-old son and we had GA. When our shuttle got to the grounds, a guy boarded and told us that everyone with a GA ticket would be upgraded. We were unbelievably happy and I'm guessing they didn't want a bunch of empty seats for the areal shots. I thought the screens were really good and I agree, they were needed. I loved the layout, loved southern Cali, had a blast and I know my son enjoyed it. Hope you had a great time.
My mom wanted to get us tickets to go since we've bonded over Ozzy and tool since I was just a little kid back in the late 90s. It really sucks seeing her desperately want to see her idol one last time but having to reconcile it with the fact it would easily be a 5k trip. I wanna go I really do, but for not even a fraction of that I'm seeing Ghost in August with Amon Amarth, both bands which can at this stage very easily put on a show the quality of ozzy or Metallica. It's just hard to justify.
with ghost and AA on your schedule you're set for one hell of a time, so dont sweat about it. take your mom to that show, i'm sure she'll enjoy ghost (if AA is too much for her).
Damn man, that sucks to hear. Its just hard to justify that insane price unfortunately
Tickets might be cheaper after he dies, the witch will surely still have his embalmed corpse sitting on that chair while the same tracks they gonna use for this are playing.
I would think about it and decide if the experience is worth it to your mom and you. I was feeling down because there has been a lot of negativity surrounding it, and my mom, my boyfriend, and I got tickets. All in all, it’s our decision. I do not have a lot of money, and am scraping together what I can and trying to get extra work to pay off the trip, but we are all so excited. We are also making a road trip out of it and stopping at national parks along the way, which I’m also super excited for! With more people we can split the car and rooms. For me, the ticket price is not just to see the bands but the experience with my family. We lost my dad 2 years ago, and we just realize we need to experience as much as we can, within reason. This is something that probably won’t happen again. People make fun of it, but we are going to make the best of it and hope it’s amazing. Just think if it’s worth it to you, and I completely understand the cost. The ticket alone was going to be the cost of our vacation this year, but we made the decision and have to stick by it now.
Good luck with whatever you decide!
@@LittlefluffykittycatI feel the same way about experiences..hope you're doing okay and you have a wonderful time at the festival with your family ❤🤗
Absolutely ridiculous prices and layout. Can’t wait to see peoples review videos on it 😂
“Hey guys, so today we’re going to be checking out what metal music is like. Btw I’m at Coachella!!!!! Big shoutout to my sponsor, Prime, it’s so yummy. Let’s go get the $30 salad just to try it, yay.”
@@Montrealmancanadiens my boy really trying to justify thousand dollar tickets🗿
@@2isceezTrying to justify his dumbass spending 3500 for 2 tickets as he thought it was 350
Worked mini wage job in the the uk, paid for a pit ticket had no spending money for 7months and it was a show of a life time
One thing I am happy about being a death metal fan, I don't have to take a second mortgage out on my home to see live music.
The "remember when we could stand without our knees popping?" festival. This would have been incredible 30 years ago. The reality of most of these bands as live acts now? No thanks.
ya right dude lol you must be living under a rock if you think these bands cant play now
Listening to senior citizens sing about banging chicks what could go wrong 🥴
Iron Maiden still good, Tallica still good, Guns N roses everyone except Axl still good, Ozzy well he is fucking Ozzy he has never been good.
ACDC Are still killers. Better than most performers nowadays, even at 70
I saw Iron Maiden last year, and they're still killing it. Saw Tool last year too, and well, they're always amazing live.
This show is for the people who go to Coachella so they can feel like a metalhead.
Basically for casual fans with 6+ figure salaries.
I’m going and I’m not some Coachella fag.
I just really wanna see them and even if I were to go to a Metallica concert or gnr it’s about the same price.
I was looking for tickets for slipknot and they are 400-1200$
It’s fucking ridiculous
That's just what poor people say
@@emmanuelsalas5298 haha some of us just focused on getting good jobs so we can afford shit like this. And I sure as shit ain't a casual.
@@richardsanchez5444 exactly, not trying to sound like a douche but this guy saying that it's for people who go to coachella so they can feel like a metal head and that it's for supposed casuals are just plain dumb. I know every single maiden song from 1980 - 2021, I love metallica and GnR. I grew up with this music my whole life and I went to college got a degree and can afford this show. Just cause I'm going doesn't mean I'm a casual I just have a job that let's me afford it.
It's too much money. I am going to Wacken, Germany for Wacken Open Air this July, and including plane tickets, and couple of days stay in Hamburg, car rental, and premium lodging in the Camper-Park area in the Wacken Open Air fairgrounds for five days cost me a total of $4820.50. And I think around 170 bands are playing Wacken.
Wacken is a much better option
@@wyattsmetal I hope it doesn't rain. Your video scared me. I went to Wacken in 2014 and we didn't get rain. 🤟🫣😬
@@uneedborda LoL I was just thinking about that as I watched that video earlier
June 30th 2003: Sarstock Music Festival (Downsview Park, Toronto) - The Guess Who, The Flaming Lips, The Isley Brothers, AC/DC, Rush, The Rolling Stones. Tickets: $21.50 (Canadian Dollars)
I got tickets to Sweden Rock Festival this summer. It was something like $350 for four days and the lineup is really impressive this year. I would never pay pay powertrip amount of money for any festival.
yeah the line up to Sweden Rock Festival is crazy. I can't go this sadly the only festival for me this year is House of Metal.
🤘😎
I just want to watch AC/DC I’m traveling from Sweden to watch it
Sweden rock line up this year is amazing
oof that lineup on the festival stage it's basically what people were specting PowerTrip festival to be! just incredible
Jeez, that's incredibly expensive. Thanks for detailing out the price tiers Wyatt! I would do either 70000tons or Maryland Deathfest if I'm paying that kind of amount
Yeah... fuck that.
I do love those bands in the lineup though.
Wow. It had never even occurred to me that that could be the complete lineup. I just assumed that more announcements were coming
Megadeth needs to be there
Only $380 for parking...smh what has the world of concerts come to? Sorry but no effing way I'm paying 4k to see a show!
664$ is crazy, but so many more people would have paid it if it was 666
300 dollar convenience fee. God damn. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than 300 dollars for a ticket to a 4 day festival. And that would have been an expensive one too. Really is a shame. My friends and I had wayyyy too much fun going to festivals/shows all summer throughout my 20s. Was a great way to travel the country and raise hell and make memories. And really, it was a great, affordable way to have a vacation/adventure as a young person who didn’t have a lot of money. The cost of these things is making it totally unattainable for young people that aren’t rich kids. Such a bummer. This kind of greedy, gouging, artificially exclusive bs feels like the absolute antithesis to what being a part of these music scenes seemed to be all about. I’m not anti profits either. The downright greed is just shameful tho. I feel for the young, adventurous music fans out there. Sad state of affairs, indeed. 😔
My Festival tickets + travel for Wacken & Rockharz this year combined are still waaay cheaper than a single "pit ticket" for this weird event
It's been 7 years since AC/DC just performed, and when Brian was playing with them they were usually only doing about 2 hours if I remember correctly. I think they may have been playing longer when Axle was singing for them but I'm not sure. I would be shocked if they did a 3 hour set, but absolutely love it. They're the only band I really like in the lineup so I'm not interested in going, but it is exciting to have them playing again even if this is the only show they're set to do for now.
This is absolutely crazy prices. I saw tool in May 2022. It was a seated ticket in London at the O2 arena (20000 capacity). The tickets were £80 roughly so just over $100. I would assume roughly the same price for the other bands for the same venue. Maybe little more for metallica and acdc. So if I went to the concerts separately then it cost a little bit more than the general admission tickets here.
But 3500 to watch 6 bands? I would definitely rather go to 70k or shiprocked or one of the other travel festivals like that. That crowd is gonna be so boring. Bunch of 60 year olds with their mistresses
This will be my first ever concert/festival. I am very excited and i want to see GnR and Acdc before they stop playing. I paid for GA and the camping with your car ticket. It is very expensive but hope its a amazing experience
That's an incredible first concert!
being a young heavy metal fan total is an absolute joy but also an absolute struggle as I was born into a time where I have to spend whole summers' worth of pay at a minimum wage job just to see all my favorite bands at festivals, and there's no guarantee that the seats will be worth it and the experience will be all good. Just seeing the prices for powertrip just makes me truly jealous that most of the older metalheads got to see their favorite bands in concert for the incredible price of $20 per ticket which could you see the band nearly up close, and further they got their favorite bands in their prime which me even more jealous. I know this statement gets annoying for some people but sometimes I feel I was born in the wrong generation.
So silly, saw Metallica,Suicidal Tendencies,Danzig,Pantara, and Anthrax back in 89 for like $25
Imagine only being 2 to 3 people in the whole show... And in the back 😂😂😂
I'm from Colombia and I'll be there with my family, I know, is a lot of money but in the mean time you can recover from that, instead of that, life is just one and time goes very fast.
I went to power trip it was awesome
I saw the big four at empire polo club back in 2011, it was amazing. General admission tickets were only 100$, no special seat sections or any of that bs, just push your way to the front barrier and watch the show
I'll wait for Maiden's own tour.
Love your videos! I was shocked by the lineup but I doubt anyone I know of will try to go to this, unfortunately. Still, I'm going to the M72 tour and the ticket for 2 nights/5 bands was roughly $500. So I think it's because of how grossly large the band is, and how expensive this festival space must be to rent.
Also, would love to see some album rankings of bigger metal bands!
I appreciate that thank you!
Dont forget the corporate greed that promoters like these and institutions like LiveNation and Ticketmaster have a hand in ticket prices being absolutely inflated in value. One has to start asking the question am I paying to see live music, or am I paying to look at a ticket on my phone?
Definitely going it will be a family camping trip. Yeah the prices are insane. I’m looking at it as a once
in a lifetime and last chance deal. My son used to rock out to GnR in his carseat 😂now I’ll watch him do it in a concert seat.
When I saw the posting of Power Trip, I would only go see AC/DC and Ozzy. Maybe Iron Maiden. No interest in GNR, Metallica, or Tool.
The lineup sucks honestly.
Not worth the trip
I'm SUPER jealous of all of the older folks who got to see these bands in their prime for so much cheaper than this bull
Just be happy you aren't a cranky broke old person who spends their time bitching about prices and talking about the good ol days.
🤣
My bf saw TOOL in a high school gymnasium. Boy those days are long gone! Lol
im 56 and you are so right ...
I saw Maiden in 98 and 2000. They were incredible, but I'm not into paying for 3 days
Well jealousy is one thing but remember that the screens the sound systems the Pyro and all the others thing costs a lot of money
That said
Back in the 80s And 90 as long as you had power and an decent amount watt-ich on the amps you were ready to go
No fancy stage shows no screens no thrills but the fun you mad yourself
In short the good old days 😂😂
I've got scars from different konserts and they will forever remind me of those days ❤❤
And I've already seen them all so no big loss to me on that part
I really doubt Ozzy will be there. Still suffering from the sorrow of him cancelling his last tour.
yea, i'm not very optimistic about him making that show.
I am sorry, but if anyone pays that, it does not speak for American metalheads.
So sorry your broke at this time but please try not too ruin it for all of us....
Yeah that's over $200 for each band.
My first Rock concert and I’m hyped for Ac/Dc and Metallica🔥🤘 plus I live there Soo it’s a win for me!
They should have Power Trip the band.
Not all metal heads stayed focused on Jean jackets and smoking pot. Some of us went on the become successful and even kept our hair
I'm so glad I'm going to aftershock festival. How is powertrip considered a festival with only two bands playing a day?
This is an awesome lineup ... 30 years ago.
Nah, just saw Iron Maiden less than a year ago, and they still kick ass. Saw Tool last year too, and they of course always puts on an amazing show.
@@StageRight123 You just think they kicked ass for old guys.. I saw Number of the beast tour , somewhere in time tour , Powerslave , fear of the dark . now that was kick ass
Yeah the prices suck-but…this is a once in a lifetime deal, especially for die hard AC/DC fan like me. I saw their last Axl/DC concert in Philadelphia (2016) and had nearly given up hope they would play again. I’ve got two pit tickets and am not looking back!!!
I’ll be there too man; will be in section 200 reserved seating..the wife needs a chair; otherwise, I’ll be in PIT
You Are Correct This Maybe The Last Time ACDC Ever Play This Will Be My 19th Time Seeing Them My First Was 77 Up To 2008 Never Missed A Tour Except 88 and 2015 I Am 60 Going With My Daughter and Nefew And Sister. The Bands Make These Prices They Want Fat Guarantees They Set These Prices I Remember Day on The Greens In Bay Area Seeing ACDC Van Halen Pat Travers Aerosmith And Another For 12.50 Whole Different World Then Glad To Hear You Are Going Seeing Young Fans There Means Music Won't Die Off
Picked up two in the reserved area. You better believe it can’t wait let out let them all whine all they want about it while we’re rocking our balls off.
@glenngoren4566 Congrats At Least Your There I Would Not Miss This Chance At All This Looks Like ,,Last Call They Don't Need To Go Out Anymore So Like All It's Like Saying Goodbye to Seeing Them in Concert The Joy Will Be All ours
I got GA and I’m NOT regretting it! I’m seeing AC/DC again
i'm flying from edmonton canada to sanfrancisco in june to see helloween...2 round trip flights, 3 nights at the warfield hotel for 2 and 2 showtickets came to a total of $1062 canadian dollars, all in.
I wonder how much actual singing Ozzy will be doing... I have a gut feeling it'll mostly be a backing track if he even makes it to perform at the "festival".
It is an insane lineup for sure, but that's too much of a ticket price !! It would seem awkward if the stage doesn't get fully filled up.
Good video I personally love tool but could never imagine paying anything near that amount especially considering their playing half if the other major festivals in the US this year
I was laying out all of my old ticket stubs for framing and came across a one from January of 1985. Metallica, W.A.S.P., and Armored Saint. Price: $13.50.
A festival for poseurs brought to you by poseurs…I wouldn’t be surprised if this crashes and burns…
Better than current Bruce Springsteen tour at $3000 a pop!
That's insane
Hope he doesn't need peptic ulcer surgery. Postponed Phoenix.
This isn't a metal festival.
This is a Gen-X get together. These are 80s icons, we grew up with these bands. I am the target market for this.
3 of my favourite bands are on the ticket. 1 is a bucket list (AC/DC) artist and 1 I like (Ozzy). The only band I don't care much for is Tool.
If I lived closer I would certainly attend, but not for $1500. Maybe the GA ticket.
I am on the floor in Calgary for Maiden in late September.
You forgot one thing, the date of this festival is the exact same as aftershock 2023 going on further north in Sacramento so date placement isn't the best either especially in price comparison and what you'd get at aftershock for half price
That is absolutely insane...
This festival is happening the same weekend as Aftershock. With these ridiculous prices and Aftershock happening at the same time (which you get more for your money there in my opinion), where do you think everyone's gonna be? Aftershock...including me lol. I'd love to see Ozzy & ACDC just once and have a redo of seeing Metallica again since the first time around for me wasn't great personally, but this just isn't worth it.
What's crazy is the camping fees.1,199 for a camper with hookups 299.00 for car camping, 199.00 for tent camping.
Wait.. You pay additional for regular camp ground? That with cold water and no upgrades?
@@oliwia.black757 Hi Oliwiaa, yes, it's not like a typical American or European festival and camping at the festival grounds costs extra according to the site. I'm actually disgusted by the level of greed. If you are traveling to America I can give you advice on camping for free on state and federal land if you wish to save money. The national park Joshua Tree is near by also, but that may cost you 20 USD per night and booking is required in advance.
@@NPK476 Thank you for the tips ;) With that price I can't justify the trip, i think only Black Sabbath playing one more show would be able to make me go there 😹
But it's always good to know spots to stay for the future, maybe less costly festivals :D
Awesome video as always! Do you plan on making a video about Dynamo Metalfest anytime soon?
Yes! I went to Dynamo Open-Air in 1999. Metallica and Manowar were headlining. There are few experiences equal to seeing 80,000 European metal heads worshipping Manowar! Incredible 3 days. My favorite bit was seeing Nile, Cryptopsy, and Therion all in a row! Holy moly! Meshuggah ruled as well. But now, almost 70, my festival days are over. Rock on youngsters!
I am a bigger Tool fan than any of the bands here, but they really seem like the odd man out here!!
They're playing 2 nights before Power Trip at Aftershock in Sacramento for a third of the price, and you get Godsmack, Megadeth, Limp Bizkit (😆), and about 20 other bands.
Mostly boomers will be going to this festival. Most of them probably haven't listened to Tool much if they've even heard of them. They're about to get their minds blown
@@StageRight123 if maiden and tool were on the same night, if consider this....
We are flying from Boston so we only got the General Admission ticket due to the airline, hotel, etc. The GA standing looks very far out in the picture, but I can't imagine it's a full football field length away or is it? In my experience at festivals or stadiums as long as you are on the ground and the sound is going over your head you're good.
it's not a festival, it's just two shows per day.
You should cover Blue Ridge Rock Festival. I’m going with my dad. It was amazing last year, but there are a few things I disliked about it. Overall it’s a great festival, I think you would love it.
Love your channel just subscribed a couple days ago. 🤘
Those prices are pretty steep I wouldn't pay it hopefully if it comes back next year it'll be a little more reasonable.. I'm a punk rock and metal fan and I'm going to punk in the Park in Orange in November 2023. VIP tickets for that were $300 plus fees still reasonable. That's VIP for 2 days. Anyways great channel.
Does anyone know if this will be live-streamed or televised, for those of us who would pay-per-view to see it? If so, on what platform? Thanks.
That’s ridiculous. I paid $190 for tix to Brutal Assault this year which has 150 bands for 4 days. I know HellFest has some of the bands mentioned as their headliners and tickets for that aren’t even close to that. 😂
This is a special show. It’s the grand finale metal festival! Once in a lifetime. My two best buddies from high school and I are making a vacation of it and doing a dudes road-trip! I’ve never been this excited for a concert and I’ve seen all these acts but Maiden. I will be in “the pit”. I cannot wait!
Rich ass fool
Ditto man; I’ll be in reserved seating..section 205…hell yeaahhh
I will Be there to super stoked out of my mind
Two things about live rock acts, it's never a "special finale show" and it's never "once in a lifetime". But enjoy your time with your buds and enjoy the show!!!
No chance of selling this one out.
That is absolutely absurd. That price tag is an insult.
I really want to go because I have never seen ANY of these bands live and If this is the last time AC/DC and Guns & Roses ever perform I will regret it for my whole life…
Im 23 with no kids so I know I can make the money back but damn is it so expensive 😭
I went to hundreds of concerts in the 80s-90s and I have seen AC/DC 34 times since 1985. There is absolutely nothing better for me than being at an AC/DC concert. It has always been inside a coliseum. We always knew that it meant 3 days of ringing ears because except for a top fuel dragster, I have never heard anything louder than them. What I would give to go back to Charlotte NC in 1985 and see the Fly on the Wall tour after eating a quaalude, sniffing on the coke hitter and sharing endless joints that were passed around by everyone.
Guns N Roses are playing at Aftershock in Sacramento two nights later, and you get Queens Of The Stone Age, Rancid, about 20 other bands for a third of the price. Tool is playing two nights before this at Aftershock, and you get Megadeth, Godsmack, and about 20 other bands, again for a third of the price.
I paid $39 at the last AC/DC tour in Charlotte NC. Guns n Roses was $59. Metallica came in 2019 or 2021 and the cheapest tickets were $378. They are such greedy scumbags. No way I will pay that. GnR is coming to Charlotte in August. I remember them taking the stage on the last tour and then I woke up in bed. I may take it easy on the Jack and Coke this time. If you want to save money on alcohol do what I usually do. Buy a pint of Everclear and put it into a ziploc and put that into 2-3 more to be safe. Stuff that into your pants to get in the venue. Just pour a couple shots of that into a large beer. It tastes exactly the same, but obviously much more potent. I quit the drugs in the 80's and I only drink when I go to a concert which is rare.
I mean AC/DC already confirmed they were gonna do one last tour, so I suppose it's not over yet
I hear you. I'm 51 and have not ever seen any of these bands live. I'm going to Power trip on a general admission ticket because the rest were just way too egregious of a price. It does make me wonder what they'll do if they don't sell all those tickets. Will they allow GA ticketholders to upgrade for a reduced price? I guess time will tell.
Are there any opening bands? Anywhere I look it’s only the main bands
I was so excited for this until I saw the prices...I'm hoping they start selling off individual day passes because I'd really like to see Ozzy one last time. We are already seeing Metallica on their 2-day show and will wait to see Iron Maiden in a arena vs festival.
It was my first Music Festival and it was Rad some dude came up to me and said “I’m high on Acid, Are You?”
At the beginning I was like " yay, some US festivals", after the lineup info I was "hmm, is it worth travelling from Europe" and after info on the price I think I should ask my question from the last video this way "Are there any festivals that are available to average human, and that do not require telescope" XDDD
There are actual festivals here! This one is just....special 🤣
I have two pit tickets !! can't wait to camp out there too
Thankfully I saw all of these bands in the 80s & 90s many times, so with the money I saved on a ticket to this festival, I decided to buy a fleet of Corvettes
More importantly you saw these bands in their prime. No matter how much they charge today they will never be able to replicate as 60 year olds what they were doing in their prime
im going i got the 1.5k ticket.
I was thinking about going to the Tool/Metallica date with my daughter, but we're going to be at Aftershock for the previous 3 days, and those tickets were only $1200 for both of us, for all 3 days, and there's about 20 bands playing on multiple stages. Pantera Thursday night, Tool Friday night, and Korn Saturday night, along with about 10 other bands that I want to see spread out over the 3 days.
I really would love to come and I’m trying to save up for this epic line-up! Although there are few problems that I need to solve before purchasing: I’m from Finland and 19 years old so I need to work really hard for the ticket and flight(s) to be able to buy them. The other thing is the tent camping (which is the only option for me and my budget). I can’t understand (bc my english sucks sometimes) if the price 199$ is for one night or is it including the whole festival time?
Luckily I’m crazy enough to be spending all of my money on this. I wan’t to see Ozzy so bad even for once in my life, and the other bands are f*cking awesome too. Never have seen any of them live. And in addition to that I love to spend on experiences more than anything else, live music makes me feel alive!
I’m little bit scared tho. What if I miss my flight or get lost in somewhere, travelling alone is a new thing to me and I would be all by myself. I really could use some company there, otherwise I will be so lost. How am I even getting myself from the airport to the festival place (and how much it would cost??)
But still - crazy enough for trying this plan!😂 Gonna come back and edit this comment if I got the ticket.
Tool actually headlined he first Coachella way back when we just called it the crazy metal show in the desert. I grew up a few towns over
I got one ticket. Im 26 and its basically for me to see them all live once more before they die tour. I only got GA and tent camping or car camping is another like 225 after tax too. Hopefully its good
We may drive from Hillsboro Oregon if we can just see GnR and Maiden only.
We are not doing the 3 days..lol
I payed GA my only complaint is how shit and was from the stage, sill loved it tho. I went all three day I live local.
Is it gonna be streamed ?
I'm going with my family of 4. Plane tickets and rental car $2500. Safari tent: $3500. Reserved seating: $5,000+ Seeing this lineup? Priceless.
No disrespect but, I would have replaced tool with rammstein. Just my opinion.
This would be so awesome, I love rammstein
Welp, I’ve never been more convinced on traveling to Europe
Half those bands are playing Aftershock that same weekend but tickets for 4 days is less than $400.
Saw Iron Maiden 10 times, saw Metallica twice, and saw both Ozzy and GNR one time each, in my younger years. For all those shows combined I might have spent $500 and got to see bands like Motorhead, Dream Theater, DIO, Suicidal Tendencies, Danzig, Skid row, Keel, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, and many more open for them.
Great line up, would love to go. However, I simply don't have enough children to sell, and can't make enough in time.
Sell someone else's
Fkk yeah it's something it's something I'm going to. Just got my package in the mail today
As someone who lives in the valley where this is being held, there’s a lot of old n new money here. This show is not for the average fan, but instead for the rich fans
I’ve loved AC/DC since I was about 9 or 10 years old. At 15 I had tickets to see them until Brian Johnson’s hearing got fucked. I’ll be 23 when I see them at Powertrip. Love the rest of the lineup as well but let’s just hope it’s worth it 🤞🏻
Nice! I saw them in Vegas right before Johnson had to leave. They will tour again!
i hope they tour again because they got me into metal and music in general so i hope they do a world tour @@lvpuppets
Greetings from Portugal...Originally from Texas...Been a legal resident here since 2016...Been blessed to live, work and see concerts in over 42 different countries around the world...When I lived stateside I saw GNR and Metallica...at Small venues and clubs...when they first started...Those where the days...and prices...I simply do not do concerts anymore...I go hiking instead...Free and good for ya...😉
Free and good for ya🙌🏆🙋♂😁✌😎
This is madness considering the biggest festival in the world, glastonbury, costs £300
1:07 "thats one hell of a lineup"
Yeah like 30 years ago. Maybe I'm just too old and seen too many concerts but the idea of camping for a 3 day festival for these bands would be hell to me. I wouldn't even go to this show if the ticket was free or more likely I would just watch GNR on Friday and bounce out.
Power Trip fest
> no Monster Magnet
i got GA tickets and went with my girlfriend and my best friend. despite it all, expensive af prices, shitty first day (super hot and was not very organized) i don't regret it. but ill admit.....there were some brief moments that i began to regret it, especially day 1. but its an experience that ill always remember.
I just paid 650$ for 4 days with VIP passes at the blue ridge festival in September with over a hundred name bands
Wow thats expensive!!! Quite insane actually!
The new Fyre festival in the making.
Holy shit, so many bands with members average age at around 65.
i live in the coachella valley and theres already been rumors about the festival having to sell single day tickets due to the slow sales so far. Obviously its just a rumor but time will tell.
Who is this for?
This is why I just wait for bands to come to my town. I’ve seen Exodus, Obituary, Death Angel, Testament and many more and those are just the metal bands. That’s not counting the countless punk and hardcore bands that come through here regularly or the big mainstream bands I love like 311. And each time those tickets have been $70 or less. I’ve never gone to a big festival here in America and the only reason for that is because of shit like this. They can have good lineups butt they never have a large amount of bands for a good price. Just come to Ventura California and you’ll see plenty of great bands for cheap.
Adele Las Vegas tickets are 39K 2nd section by stage , not front!
FyreTrip sounds awesome!
PowerTrip is kinda a part 2 to two different festivals that were held on the festival grounds. The Big 4 , which had Metallica, and DesertTrip, which it seems like this is going to be its siblings. DesertTrip had Roger Waters , Paul McCartney, Neil Young, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and the Who. The setup for both Desert & Power are the same. Prices too, but no single day and it's not 2 weekends. Each performance was a double set with a few performers having an intermission.
I already know there will be more rich and influencer type people than regular metal heads/fans
