Sauron is the former apprentice to the valar aule, who specialiced in smithing, crafting, everything having to do with constuction and craftsmanship really, so enchanting and smitching could also be a focus for a sauron themed character
Like, if a guy enjoys doing it it's no skin off my back, It's just that sneak archering is akin to playing a meta deck in a casual friendly game. I've played shooty and ruthless games with guns like rust, when I play Skyrim I want to enjoy not having to do all that.
Sneak Archery can be fun, at least for newer players since it can somewhat give them the freedom to explore and experience the beautiful landscape with relative safety. However for veteran players who - at this point - have memorized almost every location layout and dialogues in the vanilla game, then yes it is definitely the most brain dead play style and gets boring REALLY fast.
@@lukmaanpratomo6866Sneak archery is horrible with the terrible ai pathing and no locational damage. Most people pribably like it because it is super easy to be ultra powerful
@carlstirlingschannel I prefer a sword and board unkillable tank build with a focus on alteration and restoration for healing and magic buffs like stone skin for added protection while wearing light armor dragon scale with resist enchants no point putting any points into mag stamina or health since you can invest in points while leveling I'd mainly go for magic resist since technically all those elements are magic based I'd also decrease spell costs so I don't have to invest in magicka as much I'd go 6-5 more stamina then hp since resources like stamina are more important for tanking I always use spell breaker as my go to shield
My personal favorite is the vampire warrior build. This uses one handed, block, archery, light armor, sneak and restoration. Usually with a Breton character that pumps everything into health and makes use of potions and vegetable soup alongside with the lord stone. I mostly use this because it requires no grinding.
I recently had fun doing a race skill challenge using only the skills that start boosted by your race. Did an Imperial spellsword. Had a little grinding for enchantment but it wasn't too bad. Eventually had a setup with absorb magicka and the respite perk where I could quickly recover anything. Inspired by the video from Majorslackattack.
My favorite is the "Mage Hunter" build (thats how I call it) - Breton - The Atronach Stone - Magic Resist enchantments - Weapon that drains magicka and or health - Alteration for skin spells and Destruction for Cloak spells - Heavy Armour -- In AE there is the Crysamere for 10% more spell absorption if you want -- Ordinator perks gives Heavy Armour and Alteration skill MANY incrediy good resistance perks
Interesting. I once played a vampire themed character whose playstyle was very similar. Mace of Molag Bal, frost and necromancy spells. Lots of sneaking around in the early game with some Illusion magic too, but he eventually evolved into more of a battle-mage.
I'd enjoy necromancy more if non-master spells don't turn bodies into ash once it runs out. But it is what it is, so I just use normal daedra summoning.
@@carlstirlingschannel Ah but that's where the unique Soul-Cairn summons come in. They make for a nice transition into endgame for characters who specialize in necromancy. Though admittedly I mostly went with necromancy to keep with the vampire-theme.
I roleplay a Nord Mage who masters alteration & conjuration ( add a little alchemy & healing ) who also is a Vanpire Lord . Bound Swords plus your Summons , or Paralyze plus Summons is OP . Almost untouchable with the black books on top . Hella fun
Interesting build idea! I’ve actually toyed with the idea of a combat archer using some of the creation club content, specifically pairing the daedric armor with the daedric crossbow. Are there better crossbows? Yes. But damn it I want my FASHION. As for the current build I’m working on? Sword and board, with the plan being madness armor and sword (maybe dawnfang but I’ve never found it’s enchantment worth juggling) and spellbreaker. I’ll have to level restoration enough to get “wards absorb magic attacks” to really get the most out of its ward as supposedly that perk works on the spellbreaker’s ward. That combined with reducing elemental damage taken while blocking as a Breton and I shouldn’t have to worry about magic attacks wrecking my face. Main reason I want this build is shield charge. I know it’s only really useful against player sized enemies or smaller, but ever since oblivion I’m a sucker for ragdolling my foes in fun ways like that.
I remember my most common build choice was an Imperial battlemage. A tanky warrior whose martial skill was complimented with magic. Although I had several builds I liked to play with.
based on the fun i get for role playing each race at expert-master level (legendary is too exhausting/tiresome & need crafting etc.) 1. khajiit brawler (with unarmed perks mods) 2.sneaky assassin orc 3. dual wield redguard/or orcs for legendary difficulty 4. 2 hander nord 5. sneaky archer wood elves 6. pure conjuration+illusionist breton 7. spellsword dark elf 8. pure destruction mage high elf 9. 1 hand + shield imperial 10. thief argonian (i really dont like stealing sigh)
ran a build that used sanguines rose in the right hand and bound bow in the left hand. the benefit of sanguines rose over summon dremora is twofold. first it's leveled, so not hugely overpowered at the early game. secondly it has huge range, so you can plop the dremora down right in the middle of a camp and then start raining down arrows from a distance. Also, it gives a use for soulgems when not using enchanting (which is also just a gamekiller, once you get +160 damage for your main weapon the game is just boring). Just unbind crouch in settings :P.
I just stick to pure race builds. Your 6 starting skills only. Been enjoying a regard combat archer. Mage armoured, moves fast, supporting a two handed tank. As i have smithing i only have 1 point in overdraw. Makes crit damage a useful skill. Took right side of archery tree. Left side is stealth focused. Two scimitars for when it's not suitable for an archer. Adrenaline rush with those ends fights quick.
I did this playstyle originally before going stealth archer. I found that going a deathknight was a lot more fun compared to just one shotting everything in stealth. Never played as a Breton in my original playthrough though lol.
@@carlstirlingschannel I went Nord for the extra cold resist and I felt a Nord was the best for my first playthrough because the game is set in Skyrim you know? However if going the vampire route Dunmer could have been a better case due to the fire resist mitigating the vampirism debuff plus the free fire cloak.
@@Dranwulf Nords are a great choice, since skyrim makes frost magic also damage stamina and slows you down, which are two things you don't want happening when you play melee. As for Dunmer... Hmm, I find that fire damage wasn't too annoying, more that you get caught with your pants down when there's the sun out that's more annoying when being a vampire.
I made a breton antimage dual-wielding skirmisher whose entire point was to give the forsworn the middle finger and replicate the briarheart's style because those guys are terrifying. Not my favorite playthrough of the bunch but I say she had the most insane DPS by far. Dual savagery + elemental fury goes brrrrr!
I usually just do a spellsword playstyle. One hand sword and my off hand with a healing spell (or favourited for quick access when I'm doing like a weeb sword build with custom animations because ronin dragon slaying chad is based).
I once tried a play style that used stealth but without using archery. I used dual wielding daggers, illusion, alchemy and light armor. Great fun in some circumstances but I always got completely smoked when fighting dragons and other situations when stealth was not an option🙄
Evolve into stealth archers? No the word you want... its Devolve into stealth archers. ranged stealth is so easy, that its... Boring! Boring! Boring! (My bad, I was playing shivering isles, so the mad god dialog got stuck in my head)XD
Yes, I can just cast spells without spending a single magicka with powerful enough enchantments. Still, sometimes it may be better to not fortify 100% one magic school, but instead just go up to 80% and spend it on other schools. Arguably, the one school of magic that would be practical for this is the destruction school.
Not sure what mine is called but it's my second playthrough I'm a kajhit but I have serious destruction and lots of magic pool with one handed but I just at level 50 stated using armor again when my enchantment level got reasonable enough to double enchant armor to make armor to replace arch mage robes except I use light vampire armor I do try to start a atronach whenever possible I kinda feel like my character mostly magic Rambo I also pushed hard to get paralysis potions and now I got a staff
The only guideline I can tell is that, I'd recommend leveling up conjuration first as a bound sword on each hand can easily level you up quickly. It also helps that summons are pretty dangerous and expendable. Other than that I just power attack enemies as my summons aggro them. Once I got enough money and levels I just grind crafting, and then finally I train restoration+heavy armor.
Why Legendary Edition specifically? Special edition looks and runs better, is 64 bit and has more mods. And you got it for free if you already had Legendary
