I took my title to Buick and they told me which number Vats ohm number (1-15) corresponded with my cars originals ignition/security system. From there I was able to order the correct key from a shop on Amazon, and after I replaced the ignition, I just got the Amazon Key cut to match the key that came with the new ignition. You could also buy a bi-pass device and test each one individually, until you find the one that works.
How did you put pressure on locking plate to seat it back into place to get retainer ring back in place?
I’ll have to go back and watch the raw footage since I think I cut that part out. Hopefully I can locate that information for you.
How did you figure out your correct vats ohm to get through the safety lockout?

What if you lost the key or it is stuck and the key won't turn so I can get to the other torx bolt to remove the steering cover? What can I do?
You might have to drill out the ignition cylinder to get it out, which is going to vastly complicate the removal process.
