A absolutely fantastic & interesting new video, talking about the highly entertaining & partly faithful adaptation of Street Fighter The Movie. thank you very much. :)
Great video, I've come to really appreciate this movie for the campfest it really is. One thing I've continued to notice with each viewing of the movie is that, while the story and most of the characters were wrong, the movie really captures the game's tone very well imo. While the "Street Fighter" games do have their serious bits, in its heart its really a light hearted campy (I think) homage to old school martial arts movies like "Enter the Dragon". With news of a new live-action Street Fighter movie on the horizon, I hope whoever they get to direct the movie takes notes from this movie, "Street Fighter II: The Movie" and "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist" and give us a great campy movie with the occasional drama scenes.
They made a movie based on the game. Then they made a game based on the movie based on the game. We actually refer to that particular game near the end!
Great video. Regarding the "It was Tuesday" quote, I've read it was supposedly ad libbed. According to what I've heard, the script called for Bison to make some generic "I want to take over the world" speech, but after Raul looked at, it he felt it wasn't fitting for Bison to say such a thing, which lead to this iconic line. I believe this is also could be why Ming-Na Wen was taken aback/looks a little frustrated. Raul's "I'm sorry, I don't remember any of it" and Ming-Na's "You don't remember?!" could be her thinking he can't remember the line, only for him to give that iconic line. It is an urban legend and could be false, but with how amazing of an actor Raul was, I could see him tweaking his portrayal of Bison to how he felt works best.
An awesome and epic review of such a nostalgic movie! 😊❤Really well-researched and presented as always 👏👏👏
Thanks a ton! I'm glad you enjoyed our review!
Amazing review lol. I haven’t seen the movie but I’m inclined to watch it now
@thebitterhiker Treat it as a comedy, rather than a straight adaptation of the game, and you'll enjoy it.

Well, Mortal Kombat recently had a new film, so you never know!
Very interesting video, I have not seen that movie for ages. Did they make a game based on the movie or was it the other way around???

@pawcanada Later on in the review, we mention that "I guess you didn't see that did you" was also ablibbed as well.
