      yep isn't the absolute truth. I always have a set amount of money for betting and when/if I lose it then i am done for the day and i go find something else to do. Knowing basic strategy is the best way to win. But it is a game of chance so even playing perfect basic strategy you will never win every hand.

    From the late 70’ to the late 90’s a team of MIT students had a system that beat the casinos out of an unknowable amount of money. Some estimate the amount was in the millions. The casinos caught on and banned these players from tables. Legend has it that new MIT students have taken over and are still consistently winning but are keeping a much lower profile.

      MIT teams used card counting and the basic strategy to win at Blackjack. Its the only way to beat the casino and is perfectly legal. Its the only way in a casino to hbe an advantage player, at any game and that advantage is roughly 1% vs the house. However, casinos dont like people that win, they prefer suckers that lose fortunes, so they will back you off ie tell you to leave.. You dont have to be a genius or an MIT student to card count along with using basic blackjack strategy. You just need to educate yourself and train for few weeks. Not a get rich scheme however, you kinda have to know what youre doing and be prepared

    Blackjack: Take to the table the amount your willing to lose. When that amount is gone go home. Learn to play basic strategy and make your betting amount static. Win some, lose some. I make $50 last six or seven hours.......or I can spend that $50 at the movie theater in 2 hours. Leave the table when you are up a few bucks and go to a nice dinner.

    I thought about this system too so that I can win every time. Start with 10 dollars, and if you lose it, next time you bet 20 and say you lose that. Then bet 40 and then if you win 40 you are now in 10 dollars profit. But there's one major problem. Most tables have betting minimums and maximums. As it gets later in the night, the minimum increases. For minimum bet you have to put at least 10 or 20 dollars worth of chips down. But what happens over time is you could be on a losing streak if the table is 'cold'. So very quickly you could reach the maximum betting limit of say $200 dollars.

    The only problem I see with this strategy, is once you start winning a decent amount of money, the casino will ask you to leave. Casino's today share information between them, so simply going to another casino won't necessarily keep you under the radar once they've got you in their sights. This is how the casino's win against winning patrons.

    • @richdouglas2311
      @richdouglas2311 2 роки тому +1

      This isn't true. Casinos aren't concerned with paying winners. They do it all the time. Casinos are worried about people who've turned the game's advantage/edge from the casino to the player--legally by counting cards or illegally by cheating. That's what they're looking for, not someone who got lucky and won some big cash.

      That’s just variance. Even counting cards only gives you a couple percent advantage at best. Which means you’ll still lose a little less than half the time. Even the casinos go through periods of losing, but as long as you have some kind of edge you’ll win in the long run.

So, I would re-edit this video to have a hard-coded overlay, or graphic on the corner stating "The Scam" or similar, to remind us we are watching a scam. You are either too good of a presenter, or the scam is so powerful, that one might need a visual aide to remind them there are watching the portion of the video that is a scam. Then put another graphic stating "the reveal" or "the truth."
    Or, use the magician's terminology, first put "The Promise" and then "The Reveal?"

  • @BN99239

    The key here is the system doesn't seem to be based off the cards themselves. The PROBLEM here is that if the cards are not a factor in how much money you bet, then the only other thing it can be based off of is if you've just won our just lost your hand. This means that YES, the "system" does work technically, BUT the problem is you as the player don't have an endless pool of money to keep going if you bust too many in a row.
    It's like saying let's flip a coin, sure if you flip 1 billion times, statistically you will get around 50% heads. However, it's very possible to get 20 tails in a row at some point, which I'm sure no one will continue not will they have a big enough pot to keep going after 20 losses in a row.

It's the same with those selling market prediction things, like currency trading systems.

  • @JohnnyMcMenamin
    @JohnnyMcMenamin 9 років тому +14

    Betting "systems" will fail every time. Counting cards gives you a 1.5% advantage over the house. Your bankroll to make $100 a day playing 21 would need to be $100,000.
    The real reason people do not survive the swings (bad beats) in these games is the casino has more money than you do so it can absorb unfathomable losses before it takes all your money.

    • @ZoeTheCat
      @ZoeTheCat 9 років тому +4

      +Johnny McMenamin No. All you need is $10,000 with bets of $20 min up to $100 max to make on average $600k-$1M per Million hands played. This is presuming single deck with most favorable rules (rare) . If you do the math, you'll find that this will require 114 hands/hr and playing 24/7 for a solid year. Therefore, it will obviously take several years to make it...but you WONT! Why? You will be caught and banned. I have first hand experience ;-)

    • @eagle0468
      @eagle0468 9 років тому

      +Zoe TheCat They're still rousting counters in vegas? That's so stupid. Don't they know that a winner at a table sucks in the casual gamblers? They would make more money letting the counters win, and then when the sucker takes his seat, take twice as much as was just won.

    • @ZoeTheCat
      @ZoeTheCat 9 років тому +1

      eagle0468 Suckers will always exist and Vegas loves them. Furthermore, it is a Hollywood myth that counting always wins in the short-term. The movies Rain man & 21 were a joke. 1.5% isn't a lot. You have to grind it out over many months/years. You will have soul-crushing losing weeks where you will simply want to give up. It isn't easy - and as I said...you WILL GET CAUGHT!

    • @eagle0468
      @eagle0468 9 років тому +1

      ***** I don't think I ever claimed that counting will make you money in the short term. It surely gives you a higher chance of return, either short or long term. I'm a poker player, who is actually experiencing quite a soul crushing slump at the moment, so I know full well that blackjack is a high variance game. As for getting caught. Well, there are still teams operating in Vegas regularly that haven't been, so obviously there's a way to do it without getting caught.

Almost going to break even after that slot machine robbery hehehe." Tip the dealer and run away.

They'll have cocktail waitresses come by every 2 minutes. They'll jam 300 pound fat pigs on either side of you, jamming their elbows into your side while blowing cigarette smoke in your face. Cocktail waitress every 5 minutes.... Was told they're closing the table.... Cashed out moved to another table... bought in $500....
      15 minutes later up $1000 more.... Closed that table... Moved to another table... They immediately close that table. I looked up both of the other tables had reopened . A attractive young lady asked to see me to my room...used my better sense and went to the room at 3:00 a.m. She wish me better luck tomorrow and left.

    I studied the super martingale system for winning in roulette or craps. Actually you will be losing and winning just as much as anyone, but it helps you keep track of your loses so that after you catch up it’s as if you have been winning every bet. You start at the roulette table with the lowest minimum bet is all of Vegas. You start by betting $1 on the roulette ball to land on RED. If you lose, you bet $3 on red. For every loss, you double the previous bet and add $1. If you win you go back to $1. I figured out that if you have $34,000 you can survive up to 14 loses in a row and still stay in the system. I use 14 because I read that that is the record for the longest losing streak where someone kept betting on red and the roulette ball landed on black 14 times in a row. I estimated that you could make about $65 an hour. The only thing I am not sure of is how the table limits work in a Vegas. If I am in a long losing streak, I would have to keep moving to a table with a higher maximum bet in order to keep the system going. I wasn’t sure if there is a roulette table in Vegas that will let you put $34,000 on red. Also how practical would it be to keep moving from table to table and probably from casino to casino. Because the more time that takes the less I would make on average per hour. Every time I would win in a high stakes roulette table, I would have to go back to the table that has a $1 minimum bet. Also, would the casinos figure out what I was doing because at the end of a long losing streak, it would be a very noticeable win. What do you think.

    • @plugyourblogdotcom4310
      @plugyourblogdotcom4310 6 років тому

      Actually I just thought of a better way to make the super martingale system work (if I could borrow like $40,000). I would do it online and have 40 different accounts open at the same time. Each with $1000 available to play. All playing the same roulette game. I would start out playing with only one account, betting the minimum bet. Every time I win, I would use a different account betting the minimum bet. When I lose, I would make another bet with a different account in the amount equal to $1 + double the previous bet. Every time I reach the table limit during a long losing streak, I will use as many of my accounts as I need to all bet at the same game of roulette on red. Doing it this way (online) will be much faster.

    • @LifeThruALensChannel
      @LifeThruALensChannel  9 років тому +15

      Casinos are simply a form of entertainment, just like going to the movies. Movies today cost ~$15 to watch a 2 hour movie. To play blackjack with perfect basic strategy will only cost you $2.50 for the same amount of time on average. Of course, you could easily lose all of your money or actually win some, but in the long term you still average a $2.50 loss in 2 hours of play at a full table.
      Gambling is not something that the average person can do to make a living or come up with a betting system to beat the casino in the long run. Casinos operate because they make money and anyone trying to sell you on the idea that slot machines, roulette, etc. can be beaten is a scam artist and should be avoided.
      That is why I made this video. To show a scam that has become all too popular on the internet and debunk the lies they tell.

      George John I go to the casino with a certain amount of money I am willing to lose. Usually around 300 dollars or so. I get a bunch of free drinks, which will usually total around 100-200 dollars if I were to pay normally (Drinks at casinos are really expensive). Then it's all about having fun. If you lose all of your money, you had fun playing, and got a bunch of drinks. If you broke even, you got drunk for free. If you win money, well... then you double win.

    Just to chime in, basic strategy becomes irrelevant very quickly because it deals only with opening hands and does not adjust for how previous hands that were played. There have been people who almost broke casinos. Most notably the MIT team in the 90s. They used the hi lo system of counting cards. There are many advanced techniques beyond basic strategy to take away the house's edge.

AND when you DO get lucky and win decently its sooooo hard to quit but this is the only way i ever won in all my years. yes theres skill involved but without the luck-POOF YOU'RE BROKE!

      Only card counting along with the basic strategy, both executed perfectly without exception, give a player edge at any casino game. And that edge is something like 1%. Streaks exist but are 100% random and not predictable at all. Each hand is 100% independent of previous and next hand, unless you are card counting. After 50 Years of blackjack you should know better than to fall for gamblers fallacy

    The old adage, "Those who can, do, and those who can't, teach or write about it" applies to gambling books. Vegas is constantly building billion dollar plus casinos which go broke every day because all that crap written in gambling books makes everyone a winner. As the man at the Monte Carlo said, lose your money but have fun doing it.

I play enough and win and loose but i have NEVER gone broke, bankroll managment is the key to any gambling "system". Too many people bet money they cannot loose hence they loose. I bet what i can easily afford to loose and keep a loose count to see when the deck is heavy (or light) so i know when to step it up and when to pull back.

Roulette can be profitable depending on your budget like you said. May I ask which betting system combined with different strategy and trend are the best in the long run ( Martingale System
    Fibonacci System
    d'Alembert System
    Cancellation System
    Paroli System
    Oscar's System) please?

    House has 2 advantages--1) you go first (if you bust and the dealer busts the dealer gets your money). 2) the house has an unlimited bank (given time, the house always wins)

    THE SYSTEM! Lol! I know a better “system”.. Open a casino and let people using your “system” come on in!

    Systems don't work. If they did everyone would just martingale and bankrupt vegas. I've lost 14 hands in a row before playing perfect basic strategy.

      Why didn't you change tables before losing that many hands? I would have been gone after 7 losses...

    • @nybiggs
      @nybiggs 7 років тому

      You're being superstitious if you think changing tables will improve your odds. Unless you're keeping count and the count is running low it doesn't matter.

      Running out of the casino on some cue cannot help your bottom line. Over the long term you are going to lose the house edge. Period. If you are ever going to return, returning 1 minute later is just as good as returning 1 week later. Remember: "No strategy works". That means EVERY strategy. Except card counting.

    The best odds you have playing in a casino is in a poker room period!!! With poker you are playing against other players not a dealer, on top of the fact you have more control of the game see at poker I can fold 30 hands in a row if I want to and just pay me little $1-3 blinds …. In blackjack u can’t jump in and outta hands like you can’t play one then say deal me out the next because the players at the table will get pissed u are messing up the rotation of the cards so when u play at a blackjack table u literally have to risk money every hand whether it’s the minimum or not u still losing … at poker I can take $500 to the table and I might fold 2 rounds before I play a hand

    I don't hit on anything that would bust me and that works out for me. Also I play two hands. I make about $80+ a shoot when I bet about $10 a hand. About 75% I come home with few k.

      Mike Gale That would lose in the long run because the dealer is more likely to get a hand higher than you.
