Bro why was someone crying lmfao
Long story
With happy end
@@daniel_kadatskih it scared tf out of me. I thought the sound was irl near me
probably because changing strings on a floyd rose
@@gergoretvari6373 Yes, that would have went different with a stoptail
Cause a Charvel with a Floyd went a perfect fifth down from standard E
People whine
It's okay
Someone gettin a whoopin 😂
That wasn't a normal noise
Hope the person in the background is making a full recovery
"Babe come to bed, change the strings tomorrow😭😭😭😭"
"Haha, drop B go CHUG CHUG"
Bros lil bro got a whooping 💀
Drop b flat forever
i love drop a#
@@chriswhite2901 ah the timeless argument, drop B flat vs drop A#
Somewhere in between forever
@@TheLowest if you take a baritone guitar and tune it to that tuning, it's drop A# because you're tuning it up. If you take a standard guitar and tune down, it's drop Bb. That's not official or anything, but that's how I like to look at it lol
Such a fun tuning! I wish more bands used it
hell yeah love when the strings slapping against the guitar are louder than the amp
Sounds so metal right?
I agree with that could have turned the amp up so we can actually hear something
I was about to say the same!
Bro was dropping a brown note in the bathroom
Best drop tuning ever
All right I'm going to subscribe You got me laughing with that person crying in the background 😭🤣
Moral of the story, don't buy a floyd rose.
Lol
cuz tuning one string means detuning all the others
It’s a pain but the whammy play is unmatched
@@iambrowntown2 just bend the string
@@sleepforever8378 it’s not the same, you can’t get a lower note by bending
Drop C# is my most fav tuning
Drop C# and drop B are my favs 🤙
@@brendanh3952 Real. Drop B is my next favorite to C#
Drop C# absolutely slaps, best of the higher tunings
I like drop A
Sorry, but you're gay((
That noise killed me I thought it was the beginning of the song he was gunna play
that screw made such an odd sound 💀
I can't imagine strings or tunings like that. I thank God I'm a child of the 80s...and 9's tuned standard or Eb.
Just a heads up! Got a little too much bridge noise for this one! Next time put us next to the amp ❤
Ayyyy drop B! I’ve been using that for a while and really liked it but I learned an In Flames song and then came up with one of my own so it’s about to stay a half step down
Very sick riffs dude 🔥
Hahahaha you must have the downs.
@@Hadouken5150 Something tells me you were dropped on the head as a baby
I'm using drop be for my newer songs it's sounding nice in mix adds to the extra low end for bass too
"Look what they need to mimic even a fraction of our power"
- 7 string
I'm having fun with drop G on my 7 at the moment
I’m rocking 7 string drop A as god intended
I love seven strings, not only for the tuning but also how they feel to play
Sometimes mine ends a half step down for Ab drop 7 string goodness, but usually it's drop A, rarely is it in B or Bb standard. And i think its a .70 maybe .74.. used to use a bass string with a massive ball end that stuck out the back. Hard to go that low on a 25.5" scale.
drop G# or gtfo
@@martingarricks6209 who is using that lol
@@Untoldanimations sworn in, periphery, meshuggah, slipknot
The Tswift sibling crying knowing what's about happen
Let the metalcore begin.
Drop-A is where it's at.
Love the sound of brand new strings
Drop Bb has also entered the chat......one of my favorite tuning to use
I love my 8 string for a reason.
Good memories. I played in a Drop B band in the late 90’s-early 00’s and also had a Floyd but I never used the tremolo on it. I just liked the locking aspect for tuning stability.
Me watching this playing double drop B on an 8-string baritone 😂
Idk how to explain but this tuning does the thing, it just does
Try adding more springs to the back. I swear it makes it so that it requires less tension on the neck and makes tuning more stable, but I've never seen anyone else mention or confirm this.
I'm currently trying just that out
That pinch harmonic made me subscribe. ❤
Fresh strings sound great
I’m so mad about having a floyd rose its so fucking inconvenient 😂 the way the tuning stays pretty much permanent is really nice though
And then you wonder how Mick Thompson puts 62s on his guitar for Drop B, dont even get me started on drop A
Ye, i'm kind of tempting to put .60 on it. .58 is good, but for fast alt picking a bit flubby
@@daniel_kadatskihbuy a baritone guitar and put 14-68 strings on it. Thank me later.
I have 62s on my guitar for drop A to drop G usually. If I’m doing anything lower than that then I just pitch shift
@@Lowfe same here actually
I thought Mick used 11-58?
Gotta upgrade to that 7 string
You’re thinking of B Standard. Drop B is a 6 string tuning unless you want to tune up a 7 string for some reason
All the spring and truss rod adjustments are worth it for that low B power chord
Pinched harmonic was orgasmic!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love that tuning
I never seen a guitar with fine tuners
And that’s a sick riff
Bruh the biggest pain is i have to unwind the 80 gauge string for drop F in order to fot thru the locking tuner on my E-II baritone
Drop F, who you do think you are? Tosin Abasi?
@@harshgarrett tosin isnt only drop f hes drop e and lower i play stuff like northlane on it
I’ve gotten to the point where I just have to pitch shift everything. Especially if it’s something like Loathe or Black Tounge where it’s double drop C or B
@@Lowfe SAME, except i have a floyd rose... i adjust
that is funny
When you want a 7 string but just cant afford it 😂
Beautiful
my favorite tuning personally
My schecter is at drop A now with 12s on it. Plays great. No Floyd either.
And what gauge is your 6th string?
@@daniel_kadatskih I think 52 or 56 I can’t remember. They’re the Ernie ball regular 12s set
How does it play? I personally use 64 gauge for Drop A
Using a custom set of 13s myself. On an original Floyd. Took some doing
Cool..we know what your strings sound like. Maybe next video we can hear what it sounds like through an amp.
Very nice pinch harmonic
thx
Awesome
Yamaha thr10x.... Good thing
Yeee, like it a lot. Perfect unit for home use
word
,,,,thank you very much,.......................,,,
Ughhh so heavy .... damnnnnn
I got 58s in my semi hollow body…. It is warm and dark and makes you wanna break shit. Been doing that for years. I use 7 string strings and lose the high B. Works perfect. Keeps em tight and right.
I imagine what you feel when double drop b will kick in
.058 ain't anything chief, I use a stringjoy .074 for Drop A# and had to ream out my tuner post but it sounds so fucking massive it's worth it😂😂
Well that's what i called purposefulness 😁
You should try a stringjoy custom set sometime, they're a little expensive but so worth it. I haven't been able to go back since switching. For Drop A# and Drop B I use .012, .016, .024w, .032, .044, .068 as a balanced set and the tension is stellar. I personally like a thicker 6th string and use a .074 but .068 is a good start
talk about overkill
@@jacketyt6992 it's so worth it man, it's huge and a lil tense but the tradeoff is that it sounds absolutely huge and keeps my bass response tight and clear no matter how hard I play. Plus it never goes out of tune
@@kurtshervinski836 "a lil tense" for Drop A#? Sure, I have .074 on my 7-string in Drop E, granted it is a 27" multiscale. Can't imagine that on a 25.5" scale guitar, let alone a 6-string, tho I did play around with the thought of putting a .070 on mine.
You can actually use the string to saw down the nut/bridge groove to help, do it VERY carefully lol
If you keep grinding that string thru the fr nut like that it will make a groove and affect tuning stability as it will allow the string to move freely, requiring over tightening the nut clamp and potentially stripping the the bolt or the bolt head itself, I learned this the hard way getting all get issues needing a replacement r3 nut for my Jackson slat
Drop A kicks this ass
Thats madness
i dig the tone
the tone🤩🤩😍
drop b for me is type o negative vibes 😂😂😂
Nice Charvel old school shred maschine
f love it so mush. Best neck shape i've ever played. And unique headstock too
I play classical guitar in drop C. Sounds beatiful
A flat on a 7 string is 🔥
If you live in an apartment and can't turn up, or you don't have a DAW to capture audio, you can keep the volume on the amp low as you have it in the video, and still get a decent shot by placing the camera upright on a chair close to the amp, and then sit instead of stand. You'll get more volume and less pick noise.
God I don’t miss fucking with a Floyd Rose
Drop B drop A, AND DROP C FOREVERR!
I wanted heavy strings for very different reasons. I didn’t want to downtune the guitar, I just wanted heavier strings. I don’t remember how heavy they were, because I already used a regular set of 12’s, but I wanted to go extreme. It was either 12/60 or 14/68 (I can tell, because I bought both sets at the same time in the same store where I used to buy everything - I only needed to look it up and I did).
Anyway, I had an old Fender ‘Dan Smith’ hardtail Stratocaster from early 1982 with the regular F stamped slotted Fender tuners. So I’m not entirely sure if I wanted to use a .060 or a .068, but I couldn’t get that string into the hole. That is to say, I wasn’t sure, because the slot was too narrow. And I thought it would be a good idea to widen the slot using a knife and gently wiggle both sides of the post farther apart. Needless to say one of the sides snapped. I should’ve known, but I forgot these tuners were made using die cast. I’m pretty sure now that it was the .060 string. After half of that split shaft broke I could reach the hole in the center of it and it just barely fitted the hole.
I remember not understanding how you can’t fit a .060 gauge string on/in a regular string post. In the fifties many guitarists used heavy strings. Ridiculous! 🤷🏻♂️
We used to joke that by 2023 guitars will be tuned to Drop Z
Very nice guitar ASMR!😁
This is what we always play in.
Meanwhile I'm over here in drop f #😂😂
drop b is magic
My band played in c or c sharp. I played a tom delong strat. It was not meant for that kind of tuning. To get around this I used acoustic strings. Oh boy it sounded amazing.
drop d called, he said he wants his job back
YES!!!
I've been rockin in Drop B for the past 8 yrs, and I just use heavy 10's on my Schecter, does just fine. And it has a Floyd Rose, as well. Never had no issues at all. Keep rockin!!
Try elixir lights. They go all the way down to drop B (I use A low to high which is a step down) and play way smoother than heavy gauge strings. Switching to those strings was like sleeping in a bed for the first time in a decade lol
Sick charvel
indeed
C# standard or drop b is amazing especially with 12-60 gauge on an ibanez
Hardtail and lock in tuners for me for life , i could never have the patience to do all that 😅
This is an asmr video
It's cool that you did this. Could also use a standard 7 string or use a baritone.
Drop C on six string and Drop A on my 7 string are my go to tunings im using 11-58 on my 6 string and 11-62 on my 7 string so I can tune lower I just prefer those tunings
Oh boy I remember tuning my 24.75 inch guitar to drop A for a band (they had 7 strings but i didnt) and i ended up with a .68
It took some convincing to make that string fit lol
lol
Turn that UP
All that setup and can’t even cut the damn strings 😂
Been my tuning since i was 16. Thank you slipknot for showing this tuning to me originally. Most kids find drop D or C. I found B lol
When you play on Double Drop D, Drop B sounds like a baby guitar, Drop it MOOOOORE
Give you guys credit , i bought another guitar before messing around with the perfectly balanced floyed
Wow, in the meanwhile my 7 string fits .80
I’m still waiting for drop b to enter the chat
Hey what guitar is that? I have a epiphone but this the strings look secure on this 👌
I use 56-58 for D standard-Drop C. 68-70 for Drop B or A/A#
Man i thought my 54s were thick
Floyd's can be a pain for sure. Especially tunings like this where one string is dropped lower.
I use a 12 - 60 for drop C and B and it's beautiful, definitely recommend if you like keeping your string tension lol
you are right. .58 a bit loos for B
@@Ajeje_brazov yep, all of mine are grover and I've set multiple guitars with strings that heavy. As long as you adjust the truss rod to handle the tension it will be fine
Must of been hell keeping a drop B in tune on a Floyd lol
Dudes got his Kurt cobain ark
I guess only a few years later they started using wider holes in the pegs? I fit a pack of mammoth slinkys, which have a .62 bottom just fine on my 2005 Les Paul Double Cut Special. Also play in drop b 😎
I was spoiled and lucky. Was able to get a caprison HGS for instant b standard.
