I feel very blessed to have met this man at my Church a couple of weeks ago. This famous man came to a small church that the population is less than 500. He is a very down to earth and humble man. God Bless you Brian Head Welch and keep sreading the word!!!

I am so damn proud of him being able to keep his convictions, share the love of Jesus and bring others to Christ. We need people to go to places where the people would never set foot in a church. Getting people saved at a non-Christian rock concert is freakin awesome! I can't wait to someday be there with them praying for and over people. I know it's got to be one heck of an experience AND I KNOW God is loving every moment of it.

Your so right . I been on and off drugs(opiates) for the past 10-15 years and recently had enough because what they are doing to my life . I’m losing to much because of addiction. It’s a disease and that addiction will always be in us even when we’re sober . I’m 3 days sober and it’s hell becuase with opiates your body and mind is sick and you cannot function. By the grace of god I’m fighting through it and it’s starting to get easier . It’s so wierd becuase I recently fell in love with korn again and there old sound and I find this interview . Now I feel like god is speaking to me . This isn’t coincidence

When you have kids of your own and have the capacity to love something unconditionally and more than you love yourself then you will understand. I get that you loved the band. I did too. Personally I believe that the purpose of our existence is to be better than our fathers in every way and furthermore to challenge ourselves every day to be better man than we were the day before. Good for him. I used to be a hardcore atheist and I got consumed by a cocaine and alcohol addiction. I'm also a fellow convert... to all those who see religion with hate and disdain, please do not think all religious people are ultra-conservatives who deny science and evolution (if you don't believe me search the writings of Francis. S. Collins who headed the Human Genome Project and I myself became physics major). I agree that region can at times be irrational but for those of who are hurting and sick it offers a real solution to ailments that we feel in life. You don't have to believe if you don't. Korn was a favorite band of mine and actually helped me mentally through a lot of b******* I went through in life in the past due to my drug addictions and to see him turn his life over to Christ and then having a chance to read the book just topped it all off.

I am right along with you! I watch a new one everyday. I love seeing his transformation and I am in awe of how he was relentless in his pursuit of God and with all the crap that came his way he has MANY reasons to say "this Jesus thing is bull, these people are nothing but crooks" but he pressed into Jesus and prayed and listened and somehow he kept the faith and grew in his relationship with God that he is a modern miracle. I am simply in awe of what God did in his life and by extension his daughters life. Even when he wasn't with Jesus at least he had the heart of a father to want to take care of her with all he could. There are a LOT of men out there that would never even consider trying.

Miraculously saved from his addiction...no. He stopped hanging out with his meth head friends and put the pipe down.
As a non-religious yet spiritual person with ideals deeply bedded in neuroscience, his points on saying to the lord "I need you to be real" and through that spiritual enlightenment finding his sense of enjoyment in facing fears, makes so much sense.. because he is first and foremost communicating with his inner most self and forming strong neural pathways within the brain that allow for resonance in daily behaviors as opposed to the dissonanced/disconnected/dormant neural pathways/networks that lead to addictive/unbalanced behavioral tendencies. He was finally able to have a dialogue with himself, to be able to acknowledge his role as "one of gods children" in the family we call humanity, and to be able to use the rational portion of his brain in harmony/unison with his imaginative/emotional portions as opposed to harboring conflicting beliefs.. and he did it instantly through accepting that there is a being higher than himself at play here ("God") which is beautiful, which also in my personally honest and humble opinion is the same thing as the "super-organism", ie all of humanity, greater than the sum of its parts.
As much credit as id like to give to the average assumption of what/who God is, i still think we dont give ourselves as much credit as we deserve sometimes, not that we should require credit individually nor seek it however.
I believe in my heart that Brian Welch is a inspiration and so handsome. I am Colombian and a Christian have been listing to KORN since the 90s am 39 yrs old and a FAN! what a testimony, Welch! I recently heard that solo song "Die Religion Die" and this after that represents the power of God in transforming us. As for people who insist on not believing in God, YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Stop trying to fight it; Brian did so and his life changed to great joy in the Lord. This guy realized as I did, that drugs, especially meth, heroin, alcohol lead nowhere. It took a serious spiritual awakening for me also, specifically Christianity, but thru Jesus Christ. It's guys like him who can really reach people because of their talent and celebrity status. It's really an amazing story told by a man who had everything in the world any human being has dreamed of at one point if their honest with themselves, and he's given it all up, doing the best drugs, sex with the best looking women, and money out the ying yang, and is literally risking being laughed and ridiculed into Oblivion and yet he's telling everyone what Jesus has done for him. Awesome courage and faith.
My buddy was a counselor right outside of Las Vegas on Spring Mountain for Youth and adults Brian Welch did a speech there and my buddy got me three of those books signed by him I still have to this day

The Album is actually really good. He has a great singing voice and when you hear the Album you realize just how Talented the guy is. For anyone who loves korn and has not heard his music...no worries It is just as dark and emotionally compelling as the band Korn...Very different take on the whole "Christian" music thing...Definitely worth a listen. Re- Bel is my favorite song thus far.
It is interesting though when people talk about God, religion and intervention. I was raised Christian and had always been a skeptic when it comes to people having some type of revelation that changes them or some prayer that is answered. I have heard many people talk about this before but I would wonder if people were just saying things. Science can pretty much explain everything right? I thought this way until...I prayed to God admitting my shortcomings, a moment of humility. ...That prayer was not only answered, it was answered in less than a day, in the most obvious way ever. It was also made apparent to me that I personally was not in control of the outcome. When I asked what happened, a person who had NO idea in my beliefs or what was going on with me at that point, solemnly answered "God works in mysterious ways". Those were literally the words. Had the outcome been any different, the entire course of my life from that point would have been exceedingly more difficult, and I would not be in the same place I am now. For this reason, I no longer have any doubts in other's stories about God, and how much that has changed them. Sometimes things actually do happen that go well beyond any chance of coincidence. When this does occur, it is the most mind boggling transformative event one may ever experience.

The difference between those that get off drugs on their own and those who find the salvation of Christ is that through the power of Christ, that addiction gets out of you permanetly, and no turning back. You change from the inside and the things in you that are not of God, or that keeps you from God is removed as well. You die and are born again and become a new person. That's the proof that God exsist.Good for him :)
I hear what you are saying, and I was an addict, to make that clear. After receiving the Holy Spirit and truly asking from my heart for help, I WAS changed. Yes people stumble, and fall, but al least the Holy Spirit is with you and you are able to find your way back to righteousness. It's not about being converted to some religion, as most people who call themselves Christian or any other religion, it's about accepting Christ, and letting the Holy Spirit work in you and put you in a place where God wants you to be. Please don't be put off just because people gives someone else good news of how God changed them. It's not about shoving something in someone's face, like how the gay agenda is shoved down ours everyday, it's about sharing the good news, that Jesus can save you and give you peace an eternal life. And if that makes you feel uncomfortable or anyone else, then obviously, they don't want the free gift from Christ. And you as a Christian, should not be a stumbling block and tell anyone to be silent. How else are others lost in this world of darkness going to know about the gospel and why Jesus died for us. So if anyone should be cool, it's the one stopping the gospel from spreading not the one speaking about it and sharing their testimony. Be blessed :)
My comment of the ":gay agenda" was an example of shoving something down ones face as you mentioned in your last comment. But obviously, one can not have a mature conversation when one person thinks that everything they think is right. I am not saying, nor have I typed I was perfect, but again, just as you consider me some one that judges, you just proved your own point. :) Some Christians, as you call your self, are stumbling blocks, and will not allow God to take place and share the good gospel that he can change one and lift them up from where ever they are and let Christ be the lover of their lives, whether it is changing your life style or giving someting up like a job or wealth. You nor I know all things, but I love my bretheren, just for the record and have gay friends, I never said anything hurtful about them. My friends know I don't agree with their lifesytle, but at the same time know I love them, and that's how I spread the gospel, and people wonder, how I am the way I am, and I tell them Jesus has changed me, that's my testimony. If that's your beliefs then so be it. I try to live the way God wants me to live and not the way I myself think is good. You can be a good person, I'm not saying you're not, but being born again is letting God break you down and build you back up. That's all I'm saying, and God didn't make man to sleep with man, he left man to do whatever they want to their bodies because man rejected God and think they are greater than God and don't need God. All this is in the bible. But at the end of the day, God loves us all, he just wants us to love him back and know that we do need him and we as a people don't even know what good is. You yourself can not label yourself a good person. Compared to God, how good do you think you are, I'm know for a fact that I'm not good but God is working in me and the things he doesn't want, he gets rid of it through the holy spirit. Not trying to say i know more than you, just trying to make a point that Jesus didn't die for nothing, he died so you and I and every other person in this world can join him in his death and be resurrected. You can't accept him fully if you think that you are good with out him.

Its AWSOME when Jesus delivers u from addiction!!! I got delivered from smoking an drinking the night I got saved an filled with the Holy Ghost!! it was most AWSOME!! the urge to smoke an to be drunk just left me. when I got baptized in Jesus name I felt a joy that I had never felt before an I remember being so happy I just felt like laughting an laughting. I never God could be so real till this happened to me!! the odd thing was I didn't even ask for it I just went to church with my aunt!!! but once I had it I WANTED to keep it!!!

I lived the same lifestyle, but I did not find Jesus err "Jupiter- Zeus". I took a long hard look within myself, had a moment of clarity and realized that I have the power to change the outcome. I am no religious person, but I have a huge amount of respect for the Bible and the teachings of how to become the Christ. Cast your net to the right, take no thought, the kingdom of heaven is within. It is not in a religion or church, enter the G-land of pineal. The pineal gland is where you will find the God within.
