I've been a KoRn fan since 1994. Their music has had such a massive impact on my life and has honestly got me through a lot of hard times throughout my life. I remember when Brian quit the band and gave his life to God. I was stunned at the time but over the years I've come to see that it was meant to be. God cleaned him up and set him on the right path. Seeing Brian's journey has helped me with my own. Just seeing the glory of God within him has helped open my eyes... With Jesus, all things are possible.

I was in the church at a young age, my family walked away. I went through unspeakable abuse and became so angry with God that I turned my back. I became an alcoholic, spiraled into my depression, and even turned to pagan ways. For 15 years I struggled, felt alone and still so angry. This past year I had lost my husband to an accident and began to spiral into the darkest depths. I cried out to Jesus for understanding and questioning why. That night I had a dream about my husband, he hugged me and told me he was ok(he was catholic) then I heard a voice to tell me that I was still loved and that there was a home for me even though I had fallen away. I woke up feeling peace but crying my eyes out. I decided I was going to go to church. I prayed the whole time for forgiveness and for help to heal a broken heart. I apologized for my mistakes and turning away. I asked for Jesus to come back into my life. In that moment I felt this warmth of pure love and in that moment I knew he was real, I knew his love for me and I knew he never gave up on me even though I gave up on him. That for me defined his true and unwavering love for his creation. I grew up listening to Korn and watching his testimony filled my eyes with tears of hope and love. I have now since fully committed my life to God and to the love of Jesus.
I'm an addict in recovery. Almost 5 years clean now! I was was a hot mess! God picked me up and got me on the right track! I can relate to Brian! God bless!! God can do ANYTHING and save ANYONE he wants to!

I just wanted to point out granted that Brian Head Welch is a famous public figure from the band, Korn.
God uses us all, where ever we may come from. From riches, to broken. It doesn't matter.
God knows how to use anything that is possible. He opens doors that no man can shut.
This showed up on my recommendation page. I don't even listen to Korn much but I knew that guy from Korn.
So I clicked. Little did I know, even though this video came out Aug 31st, it became one of the top recent videos on this page.
You can call it UA-cam algorithm, but to me, this was God reaching out to others, to people like me.
He never left me..He never left you.

I had no idea who this guy is before today. Boy do I relate to everything he says. Sober since 2005 and my experience with God is so different today than it was when I got saved 45 years ago. I lost everything and was homeless and like he said God loves to take the broken and heal them. The prodigals come home.
He had a solo band outside of Korn, give them a listen, amazing music Korn also!
Read his book.. it's so good!!
He’s a monster rock star. He’s not in the spotlight like Niki Minaj, Drake, or Lady Gaga, but his band is very successful. They influenced and changed hard rock. They pioneered “down tuning” their guitars and playing 7 string guitars (instead of the standard 6). Every rock musician knows who he is. His journey is inspiring. Glad he was able to beat his demons.

I was thinking about you the other day. God Bless you. Addiction is no longer my friend. 6 1/2 years. From bondage to alcohol. But my mom just passed away Oct 2, from brain cancer in 3 short weeks. So all my past has come to the surface. I love you and appreciate you for being honest, open, and transparent. I am going to write my story. I had to wait until my mom passed. Because I have to be honest in my story. God is my source and my strength. Luv Deb.
My dad just passed in May, from brain cancer. My heart breaks for you. I was clean for a couple months and I knew I had to either seek God and I would die, from my addiction. God drew close to me and I have been redeemed. Prayers for you darlin
Deb-I believe in God, 1st!...but I believe in you, TOO! Don't go back to that alcohol, because you know it will only bring you down a bad path! Like God calls to us in His word, to "stay on that straight and narrow path". Matthew 7:13-14. I've never stopped believing in someone, because "Greater is He(God) that's in you, than he that's in the world(satan)". 1 John 4:4 We are called to be "aware of the devil's schemes" 2 Corinthians 2:11 AND Ephesians 6:11, so KNOW that he's going to try to "get you back", but remember that "our fight is NOT against flesh and blood" Ephesians 6:12. I believe in God soo much, that "His Word shall go forth and never return to Him void" Isaiah 55:11

Love the testimony. At the end, I'm so glad that he said that he still takes medication for depression and not to be ashamed of that. Sometimes people think that you have to be 100% perfect for God to use you when it's that thing that you're dealing with that He uses to help you relate to someone else.
God is good. There is healing from anxiety and depression. Medicine is just a band aid and it will continue to fester and get infected. God can bring healing and freedom from it

@@IronSharpensIron127 The chemical imbalances that cause depression need medication. Do you say a diabetic should not take their insulin? I have dealt with this since I was 12 years old- I've had Jesus in my life ever since I can remember. That is I can't remember a time when I did not know Him.

I loved this band when I was a troubled teen. Their music justified all of the negative thoughts and feelings I had. I left all of this music behind me when I realized that it was keeping me down. It was keeping me low and depressed. I decided I wanted to be around happier influences.
I've struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts my entire life. I try church out from time to time. I find I really don't have much in common with those people. They are just too judgy. they look at me like I'm an outsider because I didn't grow up in a church setting. So I continue to be alone. I try to find happiness in relationships, but none of the women I have dated have been believers themselves. I've tried teaching them about God and Jesus, but they didn't want anything to do with it, so I would instead keep my faith to myself. They would then use my faith against me. They couldn't accept me for who I am. So I would try church again.... same results - no one is interested. No one cares. I came to the realization that they aren't real people and they don't know themselves. I am a real person with real life experience, which probably intimidates them.
Brian is the kind of person people like me need to see in church. These people can breathe new life into an environment that is stale and lifeless.
I am so happy to see that someone who influenced me in such a negative way in my youth, can influence me in a positive way as an adult.
Draw closer to God He will draw closer to you pray about it and wait on God he will provide you with a woman of God so that you will be equally yoked... if you are with a unbeliever you are unequally yoked and they drag you down and make your walk with Christ a struggle

You aren't going to the right churches! Seriously, find a recovery based church and you will find real people who love Jesus and others around them! My church (His Place) in Westminster, California has a slogan that we're "A Perfect Place For Imperfect People"! We are even known as the "Punk Rock" church! lol We know we are flawed humans and we "own it"! You really should consider finding a real church that doesn't care where you've been or done! Instead embraces the fact that you seek god's love as they do!

I have been a Christian for most of my life. I was in bands for 28 years. I stopped singing rock music because of the fence straddling accusations and rejection of peers. You inspired me to support ECMC Metal Church for a time. Now God’s Rock is established and growing. My life is a mess so singing is not possible at this time. God may open the door again in the future. I will run with it, if He does. You have inspired me. God bless you and your endeavors.

Me and my husband have been homeless since 2014 maybe a little earlier. My family won't let him live with me so now I have moved out of the tent into their house and he's still out on the streets. He took certain methods to be able to protect himself and now he's in trouble for doing so. When you have nowhere to sleep in the police continue to tell you to move around it always ends back to math because it keeps you awake. It's a catch 22. I am grateful to see this because I grew up on this music and to see God's testimony inside people shine gives me hope and we are and in times
He loves the biggest messes because that is where he shines! That's my living hope for my daughter to get clean and to give God all the glory! And, to be a great mom to her five kids. ❤️💙💚🧡💜

Brian, the work you are doing for Jesus is amazing, You are a fisher of men. I am fighting addiction and am getting sober so my daughter will talk to me again. One day she will. Through the blood of Christ I can do all things, for Jesus gives me the strength.

I’ve always been a HUGE fan of metal and Korn. But I recently decided to dedicate my live to God and have given up metal and all things goth that I have loved so much for the majority of my life. I think it’s so great that he too has found God.
Don’t quit on God. I love that. I’ve been fighting my demons for 30 years. I give up on myself and God but in my heart, he is always still there waiting on me. I’m still trying to let him in but its like I’m not doing it right. I will continue Jesus. Please say a prayer for me. I want to be whole. Amen♥️

I remember watching Korn on TRL back in the day. I remember when I heard the news he became born again and I was happy to hear that. To see him and listen to his testimony and his love for Jesus, it not only touched my heart, but I found it inspiring on so many levels. He is sincere and genuine in his story and love for God. I will watch his documentary. I enjoyed watching and listening to this.

I started abusing the spit in 2014 almost daily until i was hospitalized last October 1 and I was told that I was very sick with covid-19, MRSA and Sepsis. I was hospitalized for 45 days. I haven't touched it since I was discharged. Jan 5 I will be off alcohol for 12 years and my last smoke was September 9, 1999. Brian thanks for your inSPIRaTion.

I just had Brian pray over me. Never thought that when I was partying to KORN I would have this guy pray over me. TX Brian, God is blessing you man. I am trying to be sober, struggling is actually the right word, but I'll endure.
Little by little let the weight fall off . Itl lose its grasp fully. It’s already gone just gotta trust the process and know you’re not that anymore . Constantly ask for help when you need it and keep your mind and spirit on God.

Jesus, it's amazing. I deal with addiction like Brian, it's in a different form, but it's the same battle. Brian verbalized most of the amazing aspects of addiction, battle, losses and victories; but, the most accurate and beautiful thing he illuminated was to never give up the battle no matter how many losses we stack up. God is a fighter and in a mysterious way...He loves the battle. Never stop fighting, not through the losses, the tears, the layers of thought that go into the mental part of the battle and thank Jesus for the wins and the losses. Find the fight and battle it with peace, love, joy and humility.
If you are a saved born again person through Christ, it is not normal to continue your addictions. Jesus can deliver you from that, please look into it.

Being saved is great, and I have been, but getting saved is just the beginning...now we have fight, getting saved won't free you from wanting to sin...it saves you from losing God's love...but it's not a magic wand...you'll still need to fight to stay as close to God as you can...it's not always easy...but it's always worth it.

I lost my ex husband to overdose this past year. Watching him go from a functioning addict that hid his problems to a full blown non functional addict that ruined his life was hard as we prayed daily for him. I'm now debating on helping in a ministry program.
Please go help. You have insight that the people need!

Well, this is rather late, but just in case you happen to read it, here it goes. Please don't hesitate to go on helping with your ministry. I've been a self destructive addict for most of my life. I've been through countless rehabs and I've overdosed repeatedly. I'm 48 now and I've been clean for 5 years. If it wasn't for people who reach out to addicts and teach them about the hope that God can provide, I wouldn't exist. I'm very sorry for your loss. I believe that God allows loss, but doesn't cause it for cruel reasons. He permits it to play out so humans can learn empathy. And the painful experiences in our individual lives can serve as guide posts, showing us what our unique purposes in life are. Look back at your life. Take all of your talents, passions, interests, and mix in the some of the most hurtful things that you've been through. This is how you find out what you're really meant to do with your life. And yes, maybe find some deep satisfaction inside.
Head's energy and testimony always gets me pumped up.

I LOVE that Brian mentions at the end that he continues to use anti-depressant medication, and mentions that that’s OK! I tried to tell a person over social media that God has saved me from taking my life over and over and over again over the last year, and this person insisted that it was my medication that made the change, and not God. Yes my medication has helped, but I STILL suffered. The medication helped to take me out of the constant mental spiral, but you have to use that edge to start speaking to God and doing works for Him. That’s where change begins ❤️👏🏻💕I started medication March, 2021, started coming closer again to God maybe a week later, and I felt like He was telling me that I was in the wrong place and needed to find a new purpose. In May 2021 I found out my work contract was ending in June 2021, and while I was initially crushed and started to panic, I realized that in coming closer to God, He said “I’m going to take this from you, because I have better things in store.” And after waiting, praying, and watching sermons ALL summer, I’m now blessed with a new job opportunity that I get to start on Monday👏🏻God is always good!

I have gotten more help through the Christian church, Holy scriptures and fellowship with seasoned Christian’s than I have in AA meetings. Lord Jesus Christ and our relationship with His Holy Name is the tru path to recovery.
I find some AA groups to just be pity parties.
Brian, You display so much wisdom. Keep growing and keep forgiving and keep sharing your story. God bless you, not all of Christians are down on you. I see you producing fruit!

I was baptized well in addiction and it was almost over night i came out of the water a new me i went too church high and meany times left and cry for help then i hit my knees at my bed side one night well my wife and children was sleeping then i new the answer i had too clense my soul thew baptism i hear u when u day ur pastor said bring ur tradh too church my pastor is the same way and i did and i was not ashamed and it was bc i new i was doing it too be better

Be creative, give inspirational from your situation, show love to yourself and if you can just text and call someone reach out to someone. Not cause of your emotions, but in case of other’s going through their deep struggles and emotional mental Heath. Smile, laugh and rest your worries today, tomorrow and moving forward. I pray from close or from a distance, you stay safe and healthy my friend, sis, brother and to you that’s reading this at this moment. Man this was a great interview that I started not to watch but soo glad I did cause something in my heart told me to. 🙏☝💖 I struggle with things to and I just got baptized last week for the 1st time and hope to continue to walk the right path cause I know it's not easy. I never grew up in church either (but I always believed in God) but my dad was a Jehovah Witness so that meant I had to follow it as well as a child. But as I got older I got out of it and just recently of 2020 started reading the Bible because of Pastor Michael Todd who I discovered that year from Transformation Church. Pastor Todd is such an awesome honest and transparent person and I'm sooo happy that God led me to him. 36:20💪 Glory be to God the most high our heavenly father. 🙏☝💖
Were all a work in progress, God uses those He KNOWS are capable to reach others. We may not understand but it Gods process. And if not, then it will be exposed for what it is. So pray Gods protection over Brian.🕊
Christmas Carols
I really enjoy Christmas Carols in the park, singing, worship and hundreds of kids running around the place.
The most notable sad realisation was that the kids were so excited to hear that Santa was coming (jumping out of their skins).
I felt sad, if only they were that excited about the returning of Jesus!

I pray everyday to quit smoking. I started smoking when I was 7. I am now 68. I've smoked different things but I mostly smoked all my life----

I lost my family,two houses,car and a career in 2007 --- went on early pension still living.Jesus looking after me all the way.Amen.

What he said about people rejecting you on both sides, it reminds me of this point I read today: Matthew the tax collector who wrote down the first gospel whom his own race hated him for being a tax collector but the Romans looked down on him for his race. But he dropped everything he had to follow Jesus for 3 years before Jesus could use him for good works.
