I grew up listening to Korn as a kid and now that Im grown with a family of my own, I still struggled with my past , but hearing your story as a fellow Christian has been very inspirational to me.

It's good to be Christian and you are responsible for your walk with christ...and help and love your neighbor. But also use your gifts to reach souls...and serve your Christian and church community. And show good fruits...if your doing that then your where God wants you to be...if not...get into disipleship that's how you grow.

🤘God truly gave us Rock n Roll! Give me Demon Hunter or Wolves at the Gate over some Praise and Worship group. I don't feel God when I hear Praise and Worship music, I hear people's egos swelling. Went to a church once were the Praise and Worship music leader talked about personally know the person that wrote the Apostle's Creed. I stood there thinking "That was written literally 100's of years ago!" The woman didn't look over 30. The claims people make in the the name of the Lord just blow me away. God bless Brian!
I also agree w/ this BUT it's not an either-or black or white thing b/c some gospel music is good and decent and some secular music is trash. BUT also the reverse is true - some secular music is way better than some praise-worship music b/c if the songs are written w/ lyrics that are quoting bible scripture out of context - that is actually worse than the secular music that is not attempting such blasphemous crap like that.
The one who professes to be pure has a higher standard to live up to and will be judged much more harshly. I'd rather listen to a gorgeous song w/ amazing poetry and perfect arrangements and such like 'Year of the Cat' than some of this mis-quoted bible-lyric music that Bethel is out there singing - for real!
God expects us to use our common sense and logic and hear his Holy spirit to discern properly in what music to listen to and which not to. We can't just be simple-minded though about it and say "all gospel music is bad' or "all secular music is wrong" - this is not nuanced thinking and we need to be balanced b/c Christ was a teacher of balance! Also, it depends on where we are on our Christian walk b/c if you're a baby new christian, you prob don't need to be distracted w/ things that you can't balance out yet but mature Christians can make better choices of discernment b/c they earned the right to have that kind of deeper wisdom. We all evolve spiritually in diff ways and on diff levels as we grow and learn in the process. Amen and best wishes to you :)

I look up to Brian, but I hesitate on trusting traditional churches. I’ve suffered through some big hurts with my family because of organized religion. Be careful, know your Bible, Love God and desire to be like Jesus. Sometimes you can’t do anything about it

And I'm a musician that was into the occult and metal, and played guitar to Black Sabbath records in my apartment with all the lights off while candles burned. The word of God says "Abstain from ALL appearances of evil, for example Korn music, lyrics and videos. When Korn plays their music in concerts, which are dark, filled with sexual lyrics, vulgar language, and blasphemies, while the audience and the band flash the cornuto sign (devil horns), do you REALLY believe Brian is leading anyone to Christ in this manner?
You're right. To accept God is to give up worldly things. The problem is people aren't STUDYING their bibles to know the mixing of the common with the holy is not of God.

But the people who need to be saved are out in the darkness. God uses the most unlikely to reach the lost. Didn’t God meet you where you were at before you got saved and came to Christ? Brian’s heart and intentions are good, he’s not perfect, and neither are any of us, but he is obeying God and going out into the world to share the good news of Christ in the way God made him.

Brian also lead kids at a concert in prayer as he told them to raise devil horns to the heavens, yeah, I saw the video, does that sound like something God would be happy about? God also says "Do not be unequally yoked" meaning a Christian has no business partnering with non Christians. God's word also says "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons." More of God's word, "Anyone who is a friend of the world is an enemy of God". How is Brian bringing people out of darkness with darkness? How is that even possible? Lastly, God didn't make Brian like that, Brian made himself like that.
@@mtngirl6308 As believers in Christ the bible is our authority, this means we need to prayerfully read & study it daily so that we won't lean on our own flawed understanding.
With that said, yes, God will reach us in the darkest places BUT once we've been delivered from evil we're instructed to have no parts of evil again lest we be like a dog returning to its own vomit as outlined in proverbs 26:11. We're to stay away from every appearance of evil as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:22.
You say Brian's heart is good, the bible says "the heart is desperately wicked" Jeremiah 17:9. You say Brian's intentions are pure, but the bible warns, "there is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" Proverbs 14:12. You say he's not perfect and neither are none of us, the bible commands us to be perfect as our Father which is in heaven is perfect in
Matthew 5:48, and this is my point about STUDYING the bible.
The Hebrew word for "perfect" doesn't mean to be without sin or mistakes, it means to be complete. So in Genesis 6:9 we're told Noah was "...perfect in his generation..." it's not saying he's without sin, it's saying his obedience to God's standards, laws and commands was complete. I love this explanation, "The man who is perfect in the sight of God is the man who has reached the degree of development that Heaven expects of him at any given time."
Your last statement about him "...going out into the world sharing the good news of Christ..." reminds me of a warning Christ gave in Matthew 7:21-23. People may claim to be Christian but their fruits (actions) must show they are.
Please PRAYERFULLY begin reading and studying your bible asking the Holy Spirit to guide your studies so that you will know what the bible actually says so it will be clear when someone claims to be a Christian but their fruits are showing otherwise so you won't be deceived. Blessings.

Religion is man made and doesn't make any logical sense. For example, when we say "Jesus says in his own words", we can't even find the words in the original language he spoke in and we think that the English language can make sense out of it. But it helps people in building up their lives out of negativity so it's all cool.

We can show our love for our enemies (Matthew 5:43-46). This can be the hardest, but the most rewarding for us. If we can love those who don’t love us, we show the opposite of their condemnation.
We can show our love for the needy (Galatians 2:10). Giving and showing love to the needy is doing it without expecting anything in return. Instead of condemning them and telling them they are in need because of their own actions, we demonstrate our love by meeting their physical needs and clearly communicating the Gospel of grace.
DO BETTER ANDREW GUERRA. Jesus wouldn't like this opinion you carry because it's opposite of his teaching and heart. This man is only human and is trying. Jesus' glory lives through him. He doesn't have to do this in a church to anyone who listens. He's living for Christ. Why do you judge him the way you do?
