I have no intentions of ever doing this, yet I watched the entire video lol. I think if you hold the sport mode button and tilt the gimbal forward until it’s upside, you’ll essentially be in underslung. You’ll just have to rotate the footage in post.
Hahaha! I'll be doing that all the time. That's a great point I'll have to try that out. Thanks for swinging through here man! I always appreciate you a ton!
If its stupid and it works it ain't stupid!
Hahaha so true brotha. Thanks for stopping by here man. Appreciated as always!
I've been trying to figure this out for a while. Glad I found this video. Thank you!
WOW! Danny you really should have more subscribers, you are so talented! Keep up the consistency and keep uploading, great work mate!!!
Hey Noah! Thanks so much brotha! Haha Honestly I'm just happy if one person watches lol
@@DannyGevirtz I love your spirit mate, keep the uploads coming!!!
Your channel is going to definitely take off soon great content man
Thank you man! I really appreciate that! Maybe one of these days lol, but whatevs if not.
I really appreciate you sharing this information. I’m scheduled to film in Greece in a few weeks and this will greatly help out filming with my C300 Mk II
Thanks so much! Good luck balancing that! It's a little bulkier than the C200
lol i like your intro...i feel like i just walked in and you were standing there "Hey, whats up?" lmao you just have this natural way infront of the camera. i love it.
haha pretty much. Thanks dude glad you enjoy my internet presence.
Excellent video thanks so much for the idea! Might have to give this a shot with my C100 mk ii and some of my heavier L lenses up front, cheers!
Can't believe the motors are not shaking. Dope!
Very creative to get the cinema camera onto the gimbal. As always a great video and you are more than good enough. :)
Haha thank you man! It was def a challenge. Thank you for swinging by again!!!! Appreciate you Peter!!
Good video bro! I’ve balanced my c200 on my ronin s too and although it’s not perfect, it’s capable of some amazing footage. Thanks for sharing bro 🙌
Yeah totally man! With a small lens it works perfect. Thanks for watching my guy!
Great work mate, great, skills
Thank you brotha!!! Appreciate you watching!
This is awesome! I've been doing work with a C100 mkii and Canon 17-40 f4 on a Ronin M as sadly that is my only option at the moment and it is so heavy! I can't imagine balancing something even heavier on a Ronin S. Good workout for your arms!
Totally man! The ronin m is so sketchy it always breaks on me. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
Just commenting to say Hi,
since I didn't comment for a long time.
Awesome video and your channel is growing quick 👏
Haha thank you man! I appreciate you swinging by again. Missed you!
I need to try !! Never balanced my C200 on the Ronin S. Might give it a go with the Sigma 18-35 :)
Totally! Been wanting to pick up the 18-35 too. Such an awesome lens at a 1.8
Great Video. Because of this I bought a Canon C100 Mark II. Wanted to make sure I can put on a Ronin S.
Nice review, Danny. Did you get hands on the new RS2? I run the C200 mainly with Sigma ART lenses as well. Do you think it will work fine on the RS2? Did they improve the fitting? Also how would you compare DJI to two handle gimbals like the MOVI M5 or simular? The C200 fit on my M5 with extended rods but missed out on a lot of features modern gimbals offer. So worth the update?
Danny, thank you for this cool instructional video. However, could you show how to properly set parameters in the application to achieve the best effect?
Hey Kamil! Of course thank you for watching! I pretty much just auto tune it. Nothing crazy!
Dude, you’re on fire. Keep up the consistency. Totally motivated me to start pumping up more films.
Yo thank you so much man! I really appreciate that support a ton!
Hey Danny, great content! I'm currently trying to get my c200 to balance on my RS3 and Tilta and noticed that you don't have your EVF attached to your body. Did you remove this yourself and if so how difficult was it to do? Thanks!
Great video Danny! I have a ronin s currently and looking to pick up a c200 in the next 6 months. This one in the video is it a c200b or regular c200 that comes with the evf and handle?
Thanks so much Kylee! I have the C200B. The only difference is the evf. You actually get the handle and grip separately for both models.
Love th video
Great
Hi Danny! Quality stuff as usual, just wanted to ask, since the Sigma 24-70mm doesn't have internal zooming, how does that affect balancing?
Also, how do you get the tac sharp focusing? Do you use the DJI focus motor, or do you opt to use auto focus?
Cheers
Hey man! Thanks for watching! You'll have to re balance if you change the focal length. If youre solo id go auto focus but if you have an ac id have a focus puller
@@DannyGevirtz Thanks man, it's abit of a hassle staying to adjust focus, does it affect balancing THAT much?
Do weights help with Left and Right tilt as well?
Surprising
Haha yeah its pretty crazy man!
what model is the thin cable? Could you post a link to the hdmi mini
Thanks for this! I tried today with my c200 and a cheap lens. Is there a certain motor setting/mode on the gimbal itself I need to program for it to handle the weight? I Still kind of saw my footsteps in the footage, but am so happy it balances on the Robin S!
Nah! I just shot with it all day today with a little lens and it did great. Might just be a balancing issue?
Thanks for posting! do you shoot the running footage in 60p? do you usually use that frame rate. would love to see a video about it, its interesting that unlike the fs7 the canon captures sound during slow mo recordings. wondering if anyone is shooting all 60p and adding an effect to make it look like 24 so that you could get the slow mo option whenever.
Thanks for watching man! I actually made a video that I think will answer your question ua-cam.com/video/h-uRexJp4AY/v-deo.html
Great video! Can you achieve the 360 spin with this setup?
Thanks man! Haha nah unfortunately not at all
How do you keep it in focus while shooting??
Awesome 😎 👌
I prefer handheld look
Yeah totally man! Some things you just a need a gimbal for though! Thanks for commenting!!!
Good job man! Whatever works right?
Hahaha exactly man! Thanks for watching and commenting dude!
Awesome work, but definitely taxing those motors, haha.
Hahaha totally
Hello and thanks for video ! How did you put the smallrig slider under the C200 ? When I put it, the counterweights are behind the camera and not in front
Thanks so much! Not sure what youre doing wrong without seeing it!
@@DannyGevirtz With your video, I successed to balance the gimbal perfectly, thank you ! I added only 300g behind and used the 18-35mm Sigma lens. Before I used a Tilta G2X and it did not work so well. The only issue I notices is that the camera is too heigh and it is not possible to use it in lantern mode.
Did you send your camera in to Canon to have the EVF removed?
Hey man! I actually ordered a C200 B which comes without the evf. Its way better as I use an external monitor most of the time anyway. Thanks for commenting!
@@DannyGevirtz Cool thanks!
0:01, nope, I just enjoy learning random stuff from your videos :)
I am about to get a really good camera 🎥 . Which would be the best one. C200 or Canon 1Dx mark ll. I would appreciate your opinion and help
Hey man! Yeah what the guy said! If you are into photo heavily the C200 isnt it, but if you're soley going video the C200 is great. Don't feel like you need a 1dx tho. The 5D is just as impressive and way less expensive. Same with the cinema camera. Don't buy a $7k camera unless you business supports it. Don't just do it because I have it or other UA-camrs. You can get a great image with cheaper and nicer lighting.
Or buy a C100 markII, I sold my Sony Gear for that and couldn't be happier!
is there any way we could set up that c200 directly in the underslug mode and just work like that, ronin s beeing upside down? :D
ummm its tough to balance that way but im sure there is haha
Hi dose it still work the c200 + sigma 24-70 with ronin s?
Yes it does!
@@DannyGevirtz so, no problem with the motors of ronin s?
@@KBProduction1988 not that i know of
But then you use the 24mm while shooting? You cant go from 24mm to lets say 50mm without balance the gimbal over again?
Thanks for all the help! I bought the same lens because of you! And in so happy i did! Best lens ever! 🔥😁
I just balance it for the middle of the lens focal lenght and just crush the motors lol
Danny Gevirtz haha ok Thanks for this!
I don't own a C200 or a Ronin S, but here I am 10 minutes later having watched the whole video haha
My guy!!! Hahahaha i appreciate you staying for it. Pretty silly video concept
@@DannyGevirtz I didn't think it was silly at all! It was very entertaining and informative haha
@@mark_naples Hahah thanks bro. Looking forward to hopefully having you out this week!
@@DannyGevirtz Absolutely! I was thinking I might head down tomorrow if that's cool?
@@mark_naples just lemme know! No pressure at all if youre not feeling it come the morning
