100%. Literally youtubers that sit back and are nothing more than sponorship channels. Send me something...and I will give it a + review for cash or merchandise. That is 90% of UA-cam in a nutshell. Nobody ever gives a bad review because they know no company would ever send them anything for free again if they just trashed the last camera.

-> Exactly. And the phrase they usually use "This is not a sponsored content you will have my honest review" makes it even worse in terms of hyprocrisy/deception. Sadly this phrase actually works on a lot of people, including me I used to think those were actually honest reviews or at least closer to being honest than a sponsored ad, but in truth, it's really not.

No one needs it, what does need have to do with aspiring, you are good to dream my friend, tools like this make it possible to share your visions with others, spreading appreciation and inspiration, at the very least it resonates with those who dream in the same focal lengths, perspectives, deapth of field and colour grades. It's reassuring to know you aren't alone in this costly obsession. The trick is finding those with both value and budget for the work that can be done with the tools you need for the job. For a creative on a budget there is always renting, or take a job with a production company that will give you access to those tools. I just wish there was more of Josh's work to enjoy, I'm thankful he can make the work he shares on this platform viable with the commitments of family.

Im new to cinema grade cameras but have been using the Limix S5 / S5II for a while. I bought Ronin4D last year and feel like I just fell lucky. WIth the Lmount all the lenses work incredibly well off the bat. Ive done loads of solo run n gun work, interviews, dolly shots. Its a super easy setup. I was worried last year as a lot of the facebook groups were scaremongering around DJI abandoning this camera but I feel they are being slow and steady with this product and its accessories and its paying off. I now feel like I've invested in a good body with compatible lenses with my much loved B camera and its easy to use for a newbie with lots of options as my jobs grow. Future is feeling bright. And with this update the body will start to retain value as demand outsrips supply!!! Ive filmed ppro soccer games, poledancers, runners, celeb interviews, live influencer events and its robust!!!

Having to use several TB of drive for a music video that with all other cams would be at most 500gb. Pain point currently which I am desperate for help with is, how do I work with these files? I have tried severally to transcode using Adobe Media Transcoder but it fails each time. I am about to explore the Davinci option you mentioned here. Fingers crossed I'm able to transcode to finally commence editing. Really such a stress. Any tip would be much appreciated, thanks!

DaVinci resolve 8k timeline. batch export all your clips as individual and with the source name, as h265 8k. Then throw away originals and you've truncated the files 90%. Unless you are doing heavy heavy color grading, I would add your standard conversion LUT plus whatever grade you're doing to get you into the ballpark, at this process before exporting that way you've locked in the color and you don't have to worry about pushing and pulling the h265 10 bit much-- though, that codec in 10 bit can take a beating so you're good either way.

Best camera for reel estate ! No need for a one wheel anymore - and the awkward conversation with the owner of million dollar homes 😂 and you’re more agile at foot …
No way you could have followed him like that, especially on the rug !
Would love to try the 8K and anamorphic 👌🏻

10:55 - If you need to change exposure whilst shooting, since changing ND would show up on the video... do you generally adjust ISO or aperture?

I love how you do crazy stuff with all this gear. Subbed when you put big lenses on inspire 2. Now I really want to see how this camera works with huge cinema lenses. I know this sounds like unprofessional workflow, but I wish DJI would add a built-in receiver for its new wireless mics into its wireless video transmitter to make it all synced. It would be really good for times when you have only one camera operator for a simple but quality walking shot.
By the way bamboo is said to be started from former DJI employees.

16:45 The low light scenes were the most surprising to me. It's insane that a camera this small can output this little noise for low light situations!

Really need to test this camera for hotel and resort shoots, feels like it would almost be perfect for them.
However they really do need to fix the codec issue. Those files are huge, I had to do the whole conversion thing with some inspire 3 footage recently.

This was so much fun to watch, now I have to go an figure out what your Tony Stark side can do more 😀
Will I buy this camera ? No, not unless I win the lottery. I did get the DJI Osmo Action 3 just a few month after introduction and am still amazed what I can do with that one and the firmware updates introduced some nice features that I was expecting to become available only on a newer model. So big kudos to DJI for doing this, made me buy a second one to give me even more options for B-roll footage
