  • Winter's coming! You need to start putting away that garden hose and winterizing your spigots. But it's stuck onto your spigot's hose bib and you can't get it off no matter how hard you try.
You can try spraying with a lubricant and various other methods, but if it's an aluminum host connection it's probably not going to come off.
Here's a step-by-step process for not only removing your hose from the faucet, but also replacing the connector. By the end of this quick tutorial, you'll know how to remove your garden hose, create a watertight seal, and never have it get stuck again!

Thank, thank, thank you very much, I am a 72 years old lady, no husband in a fix income and over the years I have learn to do lots of things around the house and acquired some power tools but unfortunately the strength has gone besides my old arthritis bone, I have been dealing with a stuck garden hose foooorever (hard water) after trying several methods yours was the one that worked for me. I will be watching for more of your solutions around the house. Thank you.

I’m an older and disabled woman that lives alone. Plus I have very little strength in my hands but I still managed to get that darn thing off by using your method!👍
I have 2 Boston Terriers that get hot easily in the heat where I live. Not having a hose for their kitty pool was making them miserable since they were stuck in the AC house. Now it’s fixed and they’re happy and so am I!
God bless you for your help!

My hose has been stuck for over a year and I've had several people try to remove it and told me I needed to replace the whole spigot. So glad I found your video. It worked great. I will be looking for more of your videos. Hope you have one on how to fix a leaky faucet.

Thanks for this video! I'm an "older" woman who lives alone and while I'm pretty good with chores around the house, this looked a little intimidating at first. But as soon as I put the correct blade in my small saw, I was able to do it. It took a few tries, but I was finally able to twist the darn thing off, as you demonstrated. Thanks!

Yup, it was fused on and used penetrating silicon.. no go, used heat with wrench, no go, last thing I wanted to do is wrench the spigot off or crack the pipe and I could tell if I used mush more pressure that's just what would have happen. Found your tip, I used hand held mini hack saw at an angle and then cracked open with screw driver... worked like a champ. Thanks! Teflon tape tip was much appreciated as well.

A thousand thanks!! I have been routinely buying the expandible hosest that are always on sale at Home Depot, etc. Unfortunately I forgot to remove the hoses from my outdoor spigots over the winter. This happend once before and like your video I had to saw off the hose connector that was essentially molded onto the spigot. Watched your video and it reaffirmed the way I removed the hose metal last time this occurred. Must say these hoses' metal connection pieces are made of poor quality metal. If you buy and live in a climate with cold winters make suree to ALWAYS remove the hose during winter. Otherwise you'll have to follow the video.
