I think my cinnamon syrup is too old! It’s not moldy or anything but sugars is starting to crystallize and it’s thinning out.. that’s probably why it wasn’t as sweet
Man, Across the Pacific is one of my all time favorite cocktails.. I may have to try that allspice addition to see how it might enhance it! On the Fake I.D. I wonder if by Black rum you mean Blackstrap rum? Or do you just mean a dark rum? It might be interesting to try that one with Blackstrap, though it would definitely amp up the bitterness, despite that more molasses nose that it'd give. I was thinking of using Cruzan Blackstrap. Another great vid as always, Rob. Cheers!
Yea totally wanna try it with a dash of allspice.. especially for fall tiki! The recipe said black rum.. I used meyers as it’s the darkest I have 😜 try it with the blackstrap for sure! my cinnamon syrup is old and starting to crystallize, probably why the sweetness was off! lol
Had to wait a tad to try it, but that Across the Pacific was delicious, but tried mine with Amaro Nonino since I didn't have Averna. Tiki drinks is what got me into having over a hundred bottles now (this is Norway, double the price of whatever you pay, and for every bottle I've imported via mail, like rum from a store in France, triple it. It's not the rum that's expensive there, it's the Norwegian import fees for alcohol😂😅) and homemade sirups. Keep up the good work, Rob
The Tango Nuevo and Across the Pacific are 2 of my favorites!
Nice! Try the Fake I.D. You’ll love it!
for me Fall is the best time to drink rum! Great video
Nice!
The Fake ID got me though I am surprised that the Cynar alone isn't sweet enough. I'll definitely need to give this one a try!

My favorite rum cocktail would be a banana rum punch or a Rum Colada.
Rum and banana are a killer pair!
For the tango nuevo.
I would go with drambuie instead of honey syrup
A fantastic idea!!

Yea tiki can get out of hand 🤣 …before tiki, I had 2 rums! I have about 40 now!
Rob, I wrote too much, but I hope you got the essentials😊
@@RobsHomeBarRabbithole ftw🤣😊
Recently made teh Tango Nuevo and was quite enjoyable.
it's a nice one... what do you think of the smoked salt? ...I think a rim would work better
