I just had it first time in my hand in a Seiko boutique. It felt great, it looks awesome and it is dangerously close to the luxury section of Grand Seiko. Honestly I don't see a reason to buy a King Seiko for twice the price.
One employee said it might be that these models will not be delivered anymore, but he wasn't sure about. He though that the new Classic line might be replace the Sharp edge, which would be a shame.
The red dial in the day light was just such a stunner and I think I will add it to my collection.
Sarx 057 is still to this day pound to pound the best watch ever.

Great watch!! If when I bought my GMT there would have been the red one I would have been hesitant...bu overall I still prefer the sportier GMT version ;)
Admittedly the sharp edge GMT is what put this on my radar but I never got the chance to try one on, then soon as I saw this on my wrist I had to go for it 😄
The sharp edge models can be picked up for incredible prices nowadays. Mainly because the 6R35 doesnt have a great reputation. Makes for a great value offer if you get lucky with the movement.
Yeah, they're really insane value - and (knock on wood) with the one I got the movement's performing as well as I expected, not breaking any records in accuracy but at least i'm not minutes off per day 😅
Its a nice looking watch but I hate to say that the new Erebus ascend is a better looking piece and probably a better watch.
