Was I the only person nodding my head while watching this...? That beat is sick!!!
This is hands down the best build edit video I've ever seen.
Hey Sean, thanks for the great compliment! I worked hard to produce a quality truck build and a fun video to watch. Thanks!!
This is awesome! Great video too. So many out there that hardly show any steps or details, or they add way too much fluff. Thank you!
Fantastic job - you really thought of everything, and it looks like a million bucks, inside and out.
Outstanding job. This is a perfect size platform and you don't have fortune invested.
That was really a neat build! And it turned out very professional and comfortable looking. Well done!! I am considering building something in my pickup truck box instead of pulling my 1979 foot Prowler camper around just for me. But I will have to wait for the weather to improve here in Michigan before even thinking about projects. Again, excellent job!! -Nick.
+Delmont Industries LTD Thanks Nick, nothing like sleeping in a comfy bed!
Drinking a cup of coffee on my front porch listening to techno and liking the build.
Hey IGOTAJOP America, Nothing better than a cup of coffee, some techno, and sitting in a nice truck conversion build! Thanks for watching!
Exceptional production Jordan. Thank you for taking the time to share this build, and the time and effort it took to produce this well thought out video presentation! Boyd
+bezaleel3399 Thanks Boyd for the great comments!!
That side door entry is so much better than using the back doors! I have the same size cube only chevy, and not having to make up the bed every night by using a side door is the way to go for sure.
Fantastic build, thank you for sharing! Excellent design, and excellent attention to detail.
+The More We Explore .........The only things I would have done differently would have been to put a sun roof, and include a murphy bed. Under the bed (when closed) foldable wood chairs attached under the bed. Third, put rubber black flooring. The floor rug he put, in time gets very dirty and begins to smell bad. So you would have to steam clean it constantly .
Yes on a roof vent of some kind.
By far one of the cleanest, most well thought out installs I have seen so far! only thing I wasn't crazy about was the video music! LOL.
+lonwlf68 Thanks lonwlf68! Yes, lots of mental vision went into this build and planning before hand. It is easy to get things out of sequence as you build this sort of thing, so detailed planning and imaging are a must. You are the third person out of 27,000 plus to not care for the music. Sorry, guess you just have to turn it down. Check out my Full Walk Thru video, not a full music video. Cheers and thanks for the feedback! ua-cam.com/video/yDuYDvwxvrc/v-deo.html
I didn't mean for the music comment to offend you and if it did,I sincerely apologize! I'm just not a fan of music with videos like these,in general! still a great video though!
Outstanding! Thank you for this superb video! Felt cheated we didn't see enough of the finished product!
+Foghorn Leghorn Take a view of the videos in this playlist, the second one is a full walk thru so you can get that finished product details. Thanks!

Spectacular build! Really fun to watch. Some gratified and near inventors included. What a great project. Thank you for sharing. - Julie
Thanks K&J! I appreciate the feedback!
That is some very nice work, as soon as the truck plants start up again I will be converting a cubevan with a 14 foot box. I hope it turns out nearly as nice as this one did.
VERY nice build! Thanks for sharing, Otto.
+Will Burson I Watching You.
VERY nice. Like the darkwood drawers, looks classy , lots of room.
Thanks Marcus! Yes, lots of room when you consider it is 70 square feet! Thanks for the compliments, and for watching. Check out my 2017 Update video on the channel.
One of the BEST conversions I've seen ♥ Awesome job!
wow!
the choices for fabrics / interior design
is amazing
so LOVE IT!
+kiijou Thanks for the compliments! Pleased you appreciated the color choices.
welcome! enjoy & may you have the safest travel ever!
Very cool conversion as well as use of space! Totally enjoyed the video as well. Beautiful job sir. Enjoy!
This is the most beautiful conversion I've seen.
Great! This answered most of my questions from the Full Walk Thru video. You did a great job. I have relatives that live in Sugarland, so maybe when I get my camper put together we can meet. Until then I will be planning and estimating my costs.
Thanks! My box is a 10 foot box. If you intend to try and put in a full double bed, you might consider a 12 foot box. I looked for 2 months before finding the truck i have. If you read through some of the more lengthy responses I have posted you can find details on my costs. Basic, $17.4k for the truck, $13k for all the build out, which includes all new items. I would certainly be interested to see what you find and your plans. Best Wishes! You can always email me if necessary for follow up questions. I have posted most of the items i used in the last part of each video. Cheers!
Thanks!
I am thinking of going to 16 or 18 footer. Set it up so I can have a queen sized bed. (I'm 6'4" and hang off any thing shorter). Also the extra length will let me have the storage like you do, plus have an enclosed area where I can have gas grill mounted inside. I used to work for a trucking company so I know a place where I can have a tailgate made and mounted on the back to get rid of the roll up door. If I have them do it right the top half can act as an awning and lower as a floor for a back deck.
Wow! I love the bed, it looks so comfortable. Makes it feel like home.
THE BEST box truck conversion video ever! Tx!
+Darryl F. Singleton Thanks Darryl!
you built the van I've been dreaming about for years very nice sir!
Hope you can make your dream a reality! Go for it!
that is probably the best music I've heard in one of these videos yet.
+The Gunn Man Thanks Again, of all the few bad comments i get, all of them are of people that don't like the music. Can't really understand it. Gald you appreciate the combination with The Propellerheads!
Great build! The perfect camper for a solo tourer :)
I love this. It almost felt the the inside of a boat. Very cool.
Thanks mercuryhaute! yea, this little beauty is working out really well. Very comfortable and convenient. Thanks for watching, and see my channel for my 2017 update!
that's bad ass man good job on the rv set up
+matthew reed Thanks Matthew!
This is very nice. I saw dimensions of the box in comments. I'm thinking the Nissan NV2500 high roof would be very close in size inside. That's been my plan for awhile plus I'd get that great Nissan warranty with it! I'm heading over to watch your other videos for more details. Thank you so much for sharing and for answering everyone's questions..very helpful. Enjoy your travels!
Thanks Rosalie! I'll take a look at the Nissan. You might find some more useful info in this 2017 update.
ua-cam.com/video/BApWBCqcg4g/v-deo.html
All the other videos (12) are details of how i build this truck. Best to you, and thanks for watching!
Thanks Everyone for your positive comments. If there is any part of that you would like to know more about please reply. I have video of all the stages of the install, and may have more detail to offer. For instance the Dometic AC install, types of adhesives used overall, plumbing system, etc. Thanks!
+ottodiezel I'm very interested in your shower install. I would love to know where you found the basin, prep under it and how your connections are made. We recently purchased an 1982 Winnebago Warrior 22' that my hubby is remodeling and somewhere along it's lifetime the original shower was removed and we've had quite a time finding a solution that fits.
+JustPeg Thanks for your request. I will follow up with another short video on the shower itself, and give more details of the items you requested. In the meantime, these are some primary items you can do more research on. The basin, is actually a Mustee Mop Service Basin, model 62M. It weighs around 45 lbs and the under drain fit a perfect 5" hole for a secure fit. Was a great fit for my needs, and provided opportunity to install a more flexible curtain wall arrangement as you can see. I will detail the prep under in the video. The shower head is actually the upper part of a Speakman Commander Exposed Shower model SC-1210-AF. I removed the valves that came with it and just used the extension pipe and shower head, which was a 1/2 inch fitting. The plumbing is the PEX plumbing system 1/2 inch. In the video i will show you the tools required and how easy it was. Water tight fittings. The drain to the grey tank was also easy to do. I'll do a complete walk through on the video and hope to have it out over the weekend. BTW, the basin was available though city plumbing supply company for $160. The Speakman was around $60 through Lowes, and the PEX was also through Lowes or Home Depot, and will be more expensive. All parts for the plumbing were probably in the $250 range including the tools.
ottodiezel Thank you for the quick response. I'll be anxiously awaiting the video. Have a great day.
Hello JustPeg, uploaded the Shower install video at the following link: ua-cam.com/video/YpVVM24gCS4/v-deo.html
Also part of my video playlist from the original video at: ua-cam.com/play/PLhfL4uOznp_VAmAdUaF3dYslROPDe6T8J.html
Can you make one of these for me?
Great album. I listen to it as a teen
Wow. Nicely done project, truck and video production!
Thanks ottodiezel. I am now jealous of another human being. Now I have to watch your other videos. Thanks for that...
Hey Rowan, I was very amused by your comments! Thanks for that! Glad you have reason to watch my other videos. You looking to do something similar? Enjoy! Hope the videos give you inspiration! Ottodiezel
You are truly fortunate to have the skill and know how!
Thanks for the compliment, I think anyone can do this with a little help, a place to work, and some tools. Thanks for watching!
absolutely the best!!!! Way to go that is really impressive work. I would have used a shower with doors (plastic enclosure) but your work is incredible
+TAXSPEND Thanks for the positive feedback! Yes, i looked long and hard at plastic enclosure showers, and just couldn't fit one in. That basin made all the difference in constructing this shower, and it works great! Thanks!
Very cool. Especially with the shower!
Exactly
+Big_Nasty Thanks! Glad you appreciate the build!
Nice ride ! Well designed and finished well. Great job
It would be nice to do one but total stealth, so you could boondock anywhere, they get pretty good mileage too!
very cool, and a very god job.. I am looking to convert a box van eventually and love looking for ideas.. you have given me some... I am a newbie to this so I will learning as I go... and may need help along the way but I am sure I will find those willing to help here in the UK...
Hello Vanessa, thanks for watching and the compliments! Wishing you the best in your build, good planning will go a long way to insure your success, so get it down on paper and think it through until you are satisfied and then build it! Ottodiezel
Thank You so much for sharing!!
Awesome! Beautiful and informative step-by-steps!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback, and hope it helps any endeavor you undertake! Let me know if you do! Best Wishes!
OMG. Make one for me plz. This is perfect except I need a soft rubber floor. Most beautiful and practical one I have seen.
Thanks Lauralie! I focused on practical, glad you see it! Hope you can realize your dream to own one too! Lots of hard work to build these on your own. Thanks for the compliments!
I actually started dancing naked in my living room, can't hold back with that music!
This has to be the funniest comment i have gotten about the music, but glad you loved it! Go Propellerheads!!!
What a beautiful build. Thank you for sharing it. I am planning to move into an E350 Ford van as soon as I can manage to retire. I a squirrel busily storing nuts for winter as we speak. I'm building the interior of the van when I can get to it. Your video is an inspiration to me even though my vehicle and floor space are quite different. I am also much more into crafting than boating so a big table will be important to me.
I love the music. I must check out "The Propeller Heads" and listen to more of them. :>)
I have never built in a van before but I have some construction experience and I am figuring it out. Sometimes I have to sit quietly in the space and just allow the ideas to come to me. It's working out nicely. I will use some of your ideas.
+Carol Kahl Hey Carol, yea The Propellerheads is a great group. I'll reply with a few other songs of theirs I like. So, as I replied to another person, you are doing the right thing in preparing your vehicle as Fit For Purpose for you! Thanks for your response, happy to share more. I have a full walk through video I am working on, in addition to the Shower Build one that I just added also. Check this link for all my truck build videos. ua-cam.com/play/PLhfL4uOznp_VAmAdUaF3dYslROPDe6T8J.html
+ottodiezel Thank you! I will definitely check those out.
Carol, look for Propellerheads album Decksandrumandrockandroll my four favorites are "Take California", "Velvet Pants", "History Repeating" and "You Want it Back". Have fun! Otto
+ottodiezel Thank you so much Otto! I sure will. I very much appreciate that you are so responsive and helpful. :>)
Perfect basis and built out nicely! Lucky find unless you already knew about it, then still a GREAT find.
Hi LouB, Thanks for the compliments! This was indeed a lucky find, i was searching for a small truck and found this on eBay listed as a one of a kind. I have only seen 4 of these across the nation so far of this size, perfect for what i wanted to do. As you mentioned, it was a Great find! A twelve foot box would have been better to allow for a double bed, but, this has worked great for me since i travel solo most of the time. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Wish I had building skills to do something like this. Alas, I will have to buy something already built. Great conversion. Thanks.
Hi Judith, what is it you are wishing to have in a camper, and how far will you want to travel? Thanks for your comment!
ottodiezel I'm still trying to decide if I want to pull a trailer or go for a class B or C. I already have a 1/2 ton truck with tow package, 4x4, and 5.9L engine. But it's a gas hog. I intend to travel the US and live full time in an RV eventually, so kitchen and bath are important to me. Also debating 4 season or not. Want to be able to boondock, so solar is a must. Bed for one person is enough. Counter/workspace for writing/computer work also a must, plus handy storage. I love the kitchen in the 07-10 Komfort Trailblazer 285, but the trailer itself is too big for my truck. I'd want a fantastic fan, the list goes on.
ottodiezel Hi Otto, thanks for responding. I'm at least another year, maybe two before I can hit the road. I had planned on pulling a trailer, no longer than 24' or so, but I'm getting older, am alone, and am also pulled towards a small class C all-in-one. Time will tell. This last fall, I had a road trip where I just functioned out of my truck, and indeed, it was too small and I was not properly organized. I'll probably change my mind a bunch more times before I finally decide. Lots can happen between now and then. I like watching the videos here to see what others are doing, get ideas, consider other possibilities. Would love to be able to build the interior, but that ain't gonna happen! Thanks again for an excellent video.
+Judith Neeley I'm in a camper pulling a 6x10 trailer. Been doing that for only 4 months and I'm already working on emptying the trailer to get rid of it. If you're worried about carrying and your choice is smaller and pulling a trailer as opposed to getting a class C that will carry everything you will ever carry, seriously consider the class B+ or C. Do 4 seasons, even in 3 seasons you'll appreciate the climate control.
Maxid1 Thanks for the heads up. A lot will depend if I have a base camp where I can keep things and hang for extended periods of time, or if I'll be pretty much on the road most of the time. I'm finding I prefer one type for travel, another for full time living at a base camp. Interesting you're already preparing to get rid of the trailer. I definitely was planning on a 4 season. I'm taking in advice from folks, and I thank you for helping me with more info.
This is great setup. Good job on the build.
came for the box truck, stayed for the dope beats
came for the truck and left because of the beats
@@ZR195M too dumb to mute i guess?
Same
I may have missed it, but what did the build cost, not including the price of the van?
Nice video and good construction skills shown. A few comments - didn't see any cooking facilities, Electrical panel next to the shower, didn't see any ventilation systems re the shower etc. The batteries are stored at the head end of the bed [gasification issues] . You spend so much time and money on insulating the top of the truck but forgot the floor, walls, those large windows, doors and the large opening into the cab :)
I converted the same box truck to a camper too! 2007 Chevy Express van used by the military with only 12K road miles! I live in Alaska so had it converted to feel like a log cabin on the interior. Fully insulated and then lined with cedar wood. Installed a marine wood stove and it works great. I have no running water or electric. Don't need it really.
Hi Johanna, i would love to see some pictures of your vehicle, and where do you live in Alaska? I have wanted to travel there sometime, i live in the sweltering heat of Texas, is 103 degrees outside! I just came back from a 6 day fishing trip, AC worked great!
How can I get you pictures? If you have instagram, you could go there and see my pictures. Or send me your email address!
+Johanna Grasso
I am at r2jordan@comcast.net
send me an email
Yeah, I was dancing to this! Very well done!!
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it!
Do you have any more info on the exact style of cab this is? I know it’s from Supreme Corp, but I would love to know the model.
Perfect find for a diy camper. Well done!
this is almost exactly what I have been wanting to do!
only things I would add would be 4X4 capabilities to the van ,if possible, and a solar power set up.
Great job. very well planned out. Music was definitely unexpected. lol
Thanks for watching! Yep, lots of planning went into this, then just need to build it! I may put out an updated Full Walk Thru video, i have made some mods that you can see in the follow up videos, and added a couple things since.
what a great set up for one person. great ideas
VERY Nicely done .... SMART layout as well :) :) :)
Thanks Rick!
Great video, really good job on the conversion!
Awesome and very like a house also decorated nicely.
Thanks Susan, i appreciate the compliment!
Well done. Looked like a fun project.
Wow, well done. Looks like a hotel interior.
Thanks Ryan!
Great work man. Looks like real home.
Thanks for the compliment, I am really pleased with it, and it has held up great! Thanks for watching!
Very nice build, Awesome job.
Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this. I've gotten some good ideas for what I'd like to do.
Thanks Richard for the compliment! I am interested in what you thought were good ideas from my build. Thanks for watching! Best wishes on your build. I also have 11 videos total with more detail if you are interested. Check the whole channel. Thanks!
Excellent song choice.
Wow looks like I'm late to the party! I have the exact same vehicle - 2007 GSA! Bought mine from broker 'Lang' in Big D just south of downtown in 2017...he had a lady that took care of converting the GSA documentation to a Texas Title and the only problems were the 1st state inspection (they couldn't find the vehicle in the state "system" but finally agreed that it was legally titled and they proceeded with the inspection) Also, my insurance co. underwriters insisted it was a "commercial" vehicle for awhile but that eventually resolved as well...I see you removed the rear a/c ceiling-mount unit that was above the spare tire bracket inside the box behind the driver's seat and I assume the floor mount rear heat unit behind the passenger-side spare tire as well...I'd love to see info on how you capped those two items off or routed around the lines, etc! I actually had 'Big Rig' for sale on CL recently and of course the a/c went out so I removed it form CL, spent $3500.00 on an entirely new front a/c system, all Ford OEM and installed by the Ford dealer in McKInney...btw, just a teensy thing, but it wasn't built BY the GSA, it was built by Superior Corp. FOR the GSA - awesome build, both by Superior, and then by you, ottodiezel! Thank you for the vids - just great!
Hey Bo, Crazy you have another of the same vehicle. Mine didn't have the rear AC in the roof, just the spare tire. I did have the rear heater, and when i took it out, i used the hose connector parts to just connect the in and out hoses, so that it looped back and left it in place under the floor in the rear. I also then just shut off the valve that was in the engine area that allowed the radiator fluid to circulate to the heater. Hope you can review all my videos on my channel, i turned off a few, but most are still active as to how i completed my build. I actually got Allstate to see mine as an RV and setup the insurance that way once i built it out. i believe my truck was also from an air base near Abilene, which auctioned it off to a dealer in Fort Worth, where i found it on Ebay. I had to have the rear differential plates replaced since it sat so long. Just 5940 miles on mine with the original 2007 tires which i had replaced. A great little truck! Thanks for watching!
stellar job dude - happy trails !
nice job, happy to see conversations , wish you all the best for ever enjoyment.
Great vid. The only thing I would have changed if it were mine would have been the choice of flooring. I would have went with the vinyl flooring.
Hey where do you go to the bathroom?
Thanks
+1timby My floor in this rig is sheet metal steel, so felt carpet would suit me best, maybe a wooded floor might be better with vinyl over the top. Check out the www.thetraveltoilet.com is what i use. Shower doubles for liquid waste.
Check out my full playlist on this truck, with electrical detail coming soon.
ua-cam.com/play/PLhfL4uOznp_VAmAdUaF3dYslROPDe6T8J.html
Thanks for the awesome vid. I am retiring from the military this summer and want to spend several months traveling the states. Have been looking at camper vans mostly to keep the cost down. This looks like a great idea. Did you save a lot of money over an RV/van combo?
+kanaloa38 Thanks for your positive comments! Congrats on your upcoming retirement, I was also in the Army 6.5 years, great part of my life. I used to own a Chinook XL, that had 80K miles on it when I bought it for $25, 000. Then I had to put $10,000 in it to get it to the operational level I wanted, drove it 20,000 miles and then sold it for $18,000. I liked the vehicle, but got tired of having to fix stuff that got old, storage costs, and maintenance. This truck I just got cost me $17.4k, and I detail the rest of my cost below. Could have done it for less, but wanted to get it where I wanted it. I am pleased with how everything works, and is simple, comfortable, secure. I investigated Camper Slide Ins, but would have spend additional 20k on a newer truck, and then at least 15k on the camper top, then the take it on and off experience. Also looked at a larger Camper Shell for my F150, but is too restrictive. I like being able to stand up and move around in this Box Truck. Regarding cost, the only things in this video that were used, besides the truck was the Twin Bed frame and chest of drawers that I bought for $250. The rest are all new products. Overall, cost was around $11,000 to build it out, not counting the 15 weekends of labor that I put into it. Major new items such as the Dometic AC, new Michelin tires, Mattress, side steps, tinted windows, refrigerator, hot water heater, TV, Grey tank, Valterra valve would cost close to $6000. The remaining items such as Paneltronics panel, elect and water entry, PEX plumbing, wood, felt, spray glue, butyl tape, plywood, 12v lights, marine grade wiring, electrical connectors and outlets, new tools, insulation, large AGM Deep Cell Battery, carpet, interior paints, roof paint, screws, thermocoustic barrier, Hub caps, electrical cords, hoses, minn kota charger, trailer hitch and wiring, shower basin, shower pipe and head, space heater, travel toilet and remaining misc items came to $5000. The truck itself cost me $17,400. May have paid more than necessary, but the build configuration double back doors and side sliding door, and size of the truck is pretty unique and hard to find, had less than 6000 miles on it, so didn't hesitate when I saw it. Key comforts for me were to have Hot Shower, comfortable bed, standing room, refrigerator, Air Conditioning and heating, way to heat food, storage, pull a boat, target RV camp sites with electric and water hookups. I can manage two people in this unit if necessary. Having owned two used Chinook XL units in the past, and also having tried to work within the confines of a Ford F150 with a camper top which I found to be too small and restrictive, I decided that needs for generators, holding water tanks, propane gas, solar panels, black waste tanks, power converters, sinks, and such were extra comforts that I just didn't really need. I have taken this Camper out now five times, and find it to be very comfortable, convenient, and provides all my basic necessities, without the extra work of the items I just mentioned. Happy to answer your questions. Dont' know if I saved more money, but I am happy with what I have and expect it to last a long while. What are you planning for yourself?
+ottodiezel thank you for the detailed response. I'm with you on standing up. In my younger days I camped with a variety of low cost solutions, but in the end, if I couldn't stand up or take a shower, the trip got old. I can't believe how much money is required to purchase a small RV or trailer these days. The trailers I looked at didn't seem very well built. I really liked what you've done!
If you see anymore vans like that could you please let me know?
Great job!!! Enjoy and safe travels!!
Hello NT, yes, haven't put out any new videos on a while, however I have made some mods, that I want to show. Will likely put out a new Walk Thru video soon, after a new add I am doing next weekend. Truck is running great, did a 4000 mile trip last May. No intention to sell it anytime soon, got some more trips planned. Thanks for the note!
Amazing, Very good work. I would be interested in pictures of the stages for reference for my own project that is similar.
+Jeremy Hello Jeremy, send me an email message directly to r2jordan@comcast.net and i will reply with pictures. If you want them all, it will be in sequence and may be near 60 photos. Happy to help. Ottodiezel
your inspiring me to do the same, it's been in the back of my mind for years to try something like this.
+444sage Well, once you start, don't stop till you are through! lots of work, so check out all my videos on the playlist, to see it all. I am happy with the work i have done, and kept it simple. Best wishes to you!
Very nice build.
Dude, great job
Nice build and nice summary video!
Great work well done and thank you for the video.
Really nice build, I'm thinking of the same thing but with an ambulance. can you price it out? Thanks
Hi C ray, spent $17.4 on the truck, and near $12k on all the install. If you scan through all of these comments, you will find at least two responses from me where i provide a detail on those costs, etc. Thanks!
very nice, enjoyed the music also. The title says truck camper but E350 is a van platform ?
+Rashid Khan Glad you enjoyed the music choice. Yes, you are correct the E350 platform is Van. Most people refer to the vehicle as a Box Truck, but as you see it is based on the Ford van platform.
Excellent Job. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing job! sick find too on that ford perfect for the shower
Wow, great build.
Thanks for Watching!!
Looks nicely done.
Aaaggg..lovin the music and.. c..c..so ..Matrix like..great build...
Sorry, couldn't stand the back ground noise. Was it really necessary?
Well done pal! You have motivated me.
Alan, i am 62 years young, this was definitely hard work, but love the results! Go for it!
Wow. You did an amazing job!!!
nice work, like the music too
+Brian W Thanks Brian, Propellerheads made some great music.
Wish I could find one already made for sale love these I do a lot of off-road riding could really use this to pull my side by side and sleep in at the park
Hi Colby, yea, these are great, but hard to find one like my design. I looked for two months before finding this one. Best wishes to getting what you want!
No doubt , this is the most practical build I have seen bar none! What are the box dimensions?Total investment?
Thanks Mary, your response exactly matches my intentions with this truck build. I focused on the practical, fit for purpose build without the frills. Thanks for your feedback! This box is 10' long, 7' wide, and inside height build out is 70". Purchased the truck for $17.4 with less than 6000 miles on it. My investment for almost everything being new products was around $12K, total for me then is $29.4. Very functional, and easy to maintain. Thanks!
Looks great! perfect for a single person travelling. Any problems with the shower?
+Louis-Philppe Comeau Hi Thanks for the comments! I haven't had any issues with the shower. I do from time to time fill up the 20 gal grey tank, and just have to drain it when i am at a camp site that doesn't offer a sewer. Since i am only using water and soap, i may just drain it where i am on the ground. Check out my full shower video at the following link. Operationally on it, works great! ua-cam.com/video/YpVVM24gCS4/v-deo.html
You included a shower but not a toilet? I probably would have done the opposite. Other than that, it looks quite impressive.
Michael, i use www.thetraveltoilet.com as my toilet. check it out. shower was most important, but this toilet solves that need. Thanks,
Cool set up
Awesome beautiful video..in all about much y do you think it cost you to build the inside of camper I'm trying to figure out for me in going that route thanks for sharing the video 🤗
Hi Rosa, I have some replies to comments in this set of comments that goes into a lot of detail if you care to review for them. In short, I spent $17.4K for the truck, and with all that I have added spent an additional $13.6K for a total of $31K. Keep in mind that everything I did with the exception of the cabinet, was purchase of new materials. It also took me 4 months to complete, working weekends. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
ottodiezel yes thanks so much
OMG. killer show and tell. Thank you.
Bravo, touchdown, u scored, great job.
i should have said which and how much--- im thinking 3 panels and 3 batteries....
Where can we find those? Nice home on wheels.
looks good and pretty usefull , the only thing i mightve done different is use a hipheight standing fridge with a lockable door and put a small propane stove on top of it
realy like the shower and the room
a mirror and big pan or small wastub as basin for shaving and brushing teeth on top of the dresser next to the shower might be usefull too you can fill it using the showerhead and just lift it and dump it in the showerstall to empty the basin and stow it away
could do turning frontseats and build a table that folds in half over the enginecowl in between in the two seats in the drivercompartment so you can use it to eat at and have allround view to the outside
+watahyahknow Hi! Thanks for the comments, if you follow my channel on other videos, you will see one where i installed a swivel passenger seat, and a table that swings into position for that chair. Decided not to do much cooking inside, but do have a propane grill i am carrying in the back now for out door grilling. Currently using a large mug for toothbrushing. Check out all my videos on this channel, for all the new things i have done. Adding a new radio and sound proofing the cab, videos in the works now. Thanks!
Great conversion
+Farmer Doug Thanks for your comment! Nice Truck pic, growing up my dad had a 1948 Chevrolet Apache with a foot starter on the floorboard. What is that in the picture?
+ottodiezel I am thinking about dropping a camper/travel trailer on the flatbed. It is a 1959 Chevy Apache 38 stake truck chassis. Has a 350 V8 and original 4 speed.
