Dark Christmas fits perfectly between Halloween and Christmas.
Thanks. I love Tarja and the whole Dark Christmas album is amazing. Tarja's daughter Naomi is at the front in the middle of the children's choir. Tarja has video for each song. I especially like O Holy Night, Last Christmas and Jingle Bells.
This whole album is hauntingly beautiful!!!
The creepiness of the imagery and singing style
is accentuated by it hinting at
but not being too gory and blood spattered
The hint of menace is just right for a
Dark Christmas.
Simply put the album is sublime avant-garde art and so so fun !!!!!!!!

Thanks for this reaction, I love Tarja's Dark Christmas album.
It's always interesting seeing Americans completely shocked when they don't see sugary sweet versions of Christmas songs. At least Tim got it in the end.

Thabks for this reaction. :) It's from Tarja's bew albun "Dark Chtistmas", it's her second album with dark versions of well known christmas songs, first one, "From Spirits and Ghosts (Score for Dark Christmas)", is from 2017. Idea for these albums is that not for everyone christmas time is happy, there are many people who are alone gor christmas, who lost their families etc, for those people it's very sad, hard and painful time and they can't enjoy happy christmas music, so these two albums are for those people, Tarja herself felt like this after her mother died. First album sounds more dark, sad and reflective in my opinion, new album is more dark and creepy/spooky, it have that scary vibe.

Finland has darker traditional christmas songs. The Hollyweird saccherine sweet stuff is not traditional.
And it was the girls who chose a list of which Tarja narrowed to 11 songs and her own original song Dark Christmas.
There is a white outfit Tarja wears. The yin to the yang. See her last dark christmas album and the video Oh Tannenbaum. Both light and dark spirits are starring in the video.
The kids are 5th graders. Or equivalent of it in Spain. Where Tarja, Marcello and their kid live.
