Thanks a lot for this. I have exactly the same experience with Tarja. Her voice brought me to metal and recently I've been watching her get better and better. Last Dark Christmas is excellent, but with this new album she has really outdone herself in every way. I know that for many people Christmas is a joyous season that calls for joyful songs, but for me it is more of a mystical season. I really love this haunting take on traditional songs. Tarja is a fascinating artist.
This is really awesome. I just bought her previous christmas album, so I guess I'll have to get this one as well 😁. There's a song on her first solo album called "boy and the ghost". Perhaps not technically a christmas song, but then again, I get some vibes reminding me of "the little match girl", which is a christmas story. It's also my favourite song off that album.
What I know about her previous christmas album, why is dark etc, it's because not for everyone christmas is happy time. For her christmas were special time, but since her mother passed away it wasn't such happy time for Tarja than before. She started thinking about these all people for whom it's also sad or hard time, from many different reasons, she showed it well in music video to "O Tannenbaun". I for the first time listened to this three days ago and I'm in love with this song and her whole album..it's awesome..creepy cool ..I love music that moves me and seems to have magic.loving this whole album very much and this song is my fav.⛄🖤🤍💜⛄🖤🤍💜⛄🖤🤍💜
Love her and the music. In fact this is her 2nd dark Christmas album but 3rd chrisrmas album in total. The 1st was released in 2006. She was going to release it after her 6th and final contractual NW album. Since that never happened the Christmas album was released in 2006. Its in Finnish though.

The arrangement brings this Finnish hymn from 1898 to mind: "Suojelusenkeli, Maan korvessa kulkevi lapsosen tie - Samuli Edelmann". This version has a children choir on it: "Sakari Kuosmanen - Suojelusenkeli".

She has lots and lots of energy and a huge personality. She will definitely make you laugh and your mouth will hurt from smiling sooo much lol. I went to her VIP and she hugged and I wanted to give her rose and poster but she hugged so tight. It felt so real and genuine and she was just so happy to see me even if she didn’t know who I was lol.great person.
