I am 60 yrs old..and I just started to learn to how play electric blues guitar 3 yrs ago..I love the blues...and I was sitting here watching this and it suddenly occurred to me , what a cool coincidence that MY first name is Johnny and my middle name is Edgar thanks Mom and Dad..and thanks Johnny and Edgar for great music over the years
The Winter brothers, damn, could they regale an audience with great musical virtuosity. Johnny Winter was truly one of the greatest guitar legends of his generation. This includes people such as; Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Duane Allman and Carlo Santana. Not placing him in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was definitely a glaring omission. Yeah, just keep putting in bands like the Beastie Boys and Cheap Trick, and the hell with incredible talents like Johnny and Edgar Winter. Way to go!

I cannot even imagine how awesome it must have been to have seen this particular concert Johnny Winter and brother Edgar that night! They were simply and completely on fire this night!!
I was there as well. I had just saw them the night before at the Bayou in Georgetown DC. It was such a great show I had to go to Hammerjacks in Baltimore just 45 short miles away from DC. Edgar and his band did a set and Johnny and his band did a set and they both did a set together. Two great shows to get you ready for a great Christmas the following week. Good times!
These guys make me FUCKING SICK...they are so bloody brilliant at everything they do. I play guitar and Johnny is better than me I also play sax and Edgar is better than me....Bastards........
