I have never had (nor made) egg salad that didn’t have some yellow mustard in it. I always felt that was one of the mandatory ingredients: eggs, mayo, mustard (& salt and pepper) Am I nuts? Other than that it’s a nice little video.
@@ChefDez Similar to the celery you mentioned, I like the added texture...and need to replaced pickles which I don't care for in almost any of these salads (egg, tuna, etc). All individual preferences, to each his/her own.
I worked in a restaurant and made a better a salad sandwich than this. We would die something eggs. Add mayonnaise, relish ranch dressing and better than bouillon chicken. We will let it sit overnight and he sold out everyday and everybody wanted to know how we did it
@@ChefDez My understanding is that Jimmy Johns uses soy sauce in their tuna salad. I’ve been saving pickle juice, hoping to pickle something. Now I have a use for some. I use all of your ingredients in my tuna salad. I’ve been experimenting with poaching eggs in the mw. Fast and easy for soft boiled due to the small quantity of water needed. So now I think it would make sense to hard boil them that way to eliminate shelling and avoid 11 min of boiling.
