FYI “who invented teal?” There is a duck called an Eurasian Teal that has greenish blue feathers on his head and wings. We named the color after the duck with teal feathers. That’s who invented teal. 🦆
Orange 🤝 Teal
Having a color and being the origin of the name of that color 😂
thank you duck for inventing teal by... existing
@@MV96_ Also being the color of a certain platypus.
u the mvp for this information. thank you!!!
🦆
Flemur has a tail with an axe. Tail + axe... T-AX! Poor fella just couldn't evade it in the end.
Thanks for having me Ron! I genuinely hadn't laughed that much in a collab before and both you and Cuppa made it too dang easy to have a great time! :)
-Bonny
p.s. the level of premonition and twists of fate in this video for all of us signify one thing...we are all psychic types o.O
Name your Mon ghoulobeest
Revegnunt
I liked your design the most, so great job!
What do you use to make your pokemon as it seems like a cool app
Thanks so much for having me! The wheel was cruel, but you two were absolutely wonderful!!!! I want to do another one of these so bad :D
Your guy is for sure committing crimes
@@BirdKeeperTobytax fraud lemur 😂
The face reminds me of a cheeky version of spike from Tom an jerry
I really loved the lemur-based Fakemon you created in this video. Also, your mention of tax evasion reminds me of this game called Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion.
@@BirdKeeperToby frfr
The name "Ghnoul" would fit the first entry perfectly! 😉 definitely my favorite, but all designes were awesome.
Bro I thought of the same thing! Even replied on an earlier comment saying that 😂 Great minds think alike lol it’s a simple but very fitting name!
The irony of the color swap is that, despite his agony over it, they were actually pretty perfect for Ghost/Water; it gained a pale body with seaweed around its neck. I know the majority of Water types have blue on them, but I thought it was a really cool, unique palette for a Water type!
I was gonna say something like this too. Ghost/Water SWAMP COLORS. It could've been so cool. I was totally vibing with the invert colors.
honestly, i did think the same for sure, and had i not needed to invert again i would've kept it. but i can see easily the shiny colors for this gnu those colors!
@@BonnyJohn still a super cool Mon! It's the fate of the wheel. 😅
i like to imagine the snakes would travel in pairs so they could ACTUALLY fly, that seems cute
yeah like it's wing position could be a gender difference: males on one side, females on the other!
this is the first stage, and the second stage is a caduceus kind of deal
with two snakes twisted around each other!
It’s kinda like those random mythical Chinese birds that have only one wing and one eye, and have to lean on each other to fly :D except it’s a snake version hh
that is so cute
@@carinaberg846 Yea I just posted a dunsparce regional fakemon in the pokemon subreddit with this concept. It caused quite a stir lol.
Flemure looks like it would be a third stage where the first stage was an accidental and unaware arsonist, the second was super shy and reclusive so it doesn't start fires and flemure itself becomes a fire fighter to atone for its past accidents
That’s such a cool idea!
that's a final Starter Evolution if I ever saw one
How are y’all so creative😂
So every single member of the species would have the same backstory?
It also kinda looks like if Bakugo from MHA was a pokemon
omg! i love the gnu pokemon, especially the tears on it's horns. the bright colors on a dark type is a fun twist, and the lemurs "clothing" looks really natural! the stripes on its arms almost look like hand cuffs, like an inmate or something. im in love with all of these designssss
Honestly when the gnu got given water/ghost I thought that was perfect for it because a common feature of nature documentaries is the gnu migration and the inevitable gnu drinking at a lake/crossing a river and being attacked by crocodiles segment lmao
I could have watched that for at least another hour, y'alls banter is so fun to listen to!
Ron is so calm and collected in scripted videos and then we get here. The contrast is hilarious 😂
Thought the same! I haven’t ever heard him be this enthusiastic before haha it’s nice
Bonny remembering Wildebeests as “the guys who killed Mufasa” will always make me laugh 😂
These guys came out amazing, nice job everyone! 🤩
I came up with these names for the 3 pokemon:
Wildespair (wildebeest+despair)
Lemurgent (lemur+urgent)
Quetzerpent (Quetzalcoatl+serpent)
You all made amazing Pokemon, even with the cruelty of the wheel!
"OH THANK GOD IT'S DRAGON!!!"
That part had me in stitches for almost 3 min.
It'd be cool to see an extension of this video where each artist goes back and perfects their designs WITHOUT all the restrictions and rules, to see how they WOULD have otherwise turned out
Scar killed Mufasa, not the wildebeest. They couldn't slow their momentum enough on time- they'd get trampled themselves otherwise.
the wildebeest were the original "fuck it we ball"
The wildebeest were at best the weapon that Scar used to kill Mufasa.
Nah, the Wildebeest definitely killed Mufasa. They're not an inanimate object/tool such as a gun. Scar is responsible for Mufasa's death, though he didn't kill him. Two very different things.
@@Thelonous Scar threw Mufasa about 30 feet into a gorge. Even if the wildebeest weren't there, it's likely Mufasa would have been critically injured.
@@RabblesTheBinx For certain, I wouldn't debate that. Regardless, Mufasa was alive up until being trampled. Scar is still responsible for murder; but, now some poor wildebeest must live on knowing they had ended an innocent life.
If you throw someone off an overpass into oncoming traffic, you're responsible for murder; but, some poor lad has your victim splattered across their windshield. They might not have deliberately driven over the man, as they couldn't see them or stop suddenly without potentially fatally injuring themselves and others, but they still caused someones death and experienced the brutal fashion in which that life was extinguished. Those are deep, life long scars (pun intended).
Simplifying the situation and simply saying Scar killed Mufasa serves no meaningful purpose whilst removing nuance from the event.
Preventative statement: "They're just Wildebeests" No, not in this movie. Every animal is effectively analogous to a human being. Whether or not you choose to indulge in the fantasy is up to you, but stories are created to make us think and feel more than skin deep.
"Wildebeest? pretty cool guy... Wait, aren't this guy that killed Mufasa!? Noooo, me and my homies f****ng hate these guy" Got me dead straight to heaven 😂😂
A ghost/water Gnu has an amazing concept. Gnu cross over rivers to migrate, in which many pass away from drowning or to water predators like crocodiles, so there's the basic concept.
Edit: I did not finish the video when I wrote this. Very nice design.
Great vid, you're all very talented. I was hoping that BonnyJohn would incorporate the fact that gnus follow the rains in Africa during their migrations (because rain = grass) into his concept, since it's a water type. Also could have went with the fact that loads of them die crossing rivers due to the currents and crocodiles, which would have been on theme for both the water and ghost typings.
we only had like 5-10 minutes of research plus getting our references so i couldn't absorb everything, but i like this concept so it is now retconned as such!
@@BonnyJohn Yeah fair enough. It's one thing watching from the sidelines but a whole other thing actually having to do something like this in the moment under a time constraint. Tbh I've just watched loads of nature documentaries so I just know this kind of stuff haha. Either way, u did a great job, looks super cool (sorry for the late reply)
My main problem with the snake design is that it doesn't read as a dark type. For the leamer it's actually the Axe tail, it just looks like it was added on as an after thought. And finally GnUuUuUuUu: They took his cake. For real though there is one part in the mossy mainot that is just incomplete. With that all said I would say GnUuUuUuUu wins it for me.
Glad someone else was bothered by the dark typing not being represented visually. Ntm when I think gen 5, I think of its more muted tones and abundance of black, white, and beige pokemon.
It's a challenge for a reason, they had barely any time to think and were probably stressed. Also dark type refers to an "evil" type not literaly darkness they don't have to be all dark colored, look at nuzleaf, alolan grimer, bombirdier, inkay and scraggy, imo they don't really scream "dark" type
This was dope, hope it turns into a regular series
I got a clever name for the Gnu Pokémon! ''Gnu'' + ''Guru'' = ''GNURU''. What do you think, Truegreen7?
if a pokemon was named that then there would be 50 different ways that ppl would say it
@@espeon030 Eh... y'think? I'd love some explanation, because I can't think of any different ways the name ''Gnuru'' could be pronounced, other than the emphasis/syllable.
@@LaySuperMarioLovergnuru can be pronounced as new-rew or ga-new-rew and them 2 I can think of quickly but that shows the difference
@@mathswatch1976 But it could also be pronounced Ngoo-roo, ng like at the end of sing.
@@leospruance-kryselmire5241 I said what I could think of the top of my head
17:30 I’m not sure right now is the appropriate time to be flicking the bean! 😂 🫘
Don't know how green didn't fit in the design. It's obviously for all the money he refuses to give to the Poke IRS.
I have to admit that Flemur (not sure how you spell it) gives me Bakugo vibes
I’ll take it!
A snake mon designed after Quetzalcoatl is a really fun idea.
Ye, on paper it slaps
Ron's melt down after the type change cracked me up so hard 😂
did this before and I ended up with the most scribbly eldrich horror I ever did see
You need to show us. Show us your demon
@@TheLastEmber.yea
Show us please, I need more demon lords for my D&D campaign.
Damn the animal & types rng really went off (in a good way) this time
Not the bois doing wacky goofy antics and pulling it off with style!?
The wheel adds an extra layer of chaos to everything and CuppaPhee and BonnyJohn are a delight as well.
Love the vid! Would love to see what you have next in store.
This was so fun to watch it was just friends hanging out and drawing fakemon
For the last mon, I can see that being a baby mon with 2 other evolutions. I only say that because it can get both wings instead of having one😅
the middle one looks like Furry Bakugo with an Axe Tail
I had ideas for these prompts that I really like, so I'll share them.
Wilderaith: From Wildebeest and Wraith. Wraiths, generally, are a shadowy apparition bearing the likeness of someone who just died somewhere else. Plays well with the mask concept. They could appear as a bad omen to family members of somoene who's about to die, wearing a mask that resembles the person in danger. Similar to Absol, they would likely be blamed for the tragedy despite simply trying to give a dire warning.
Leember: From Lemur and Ember. Pronounced like "Lee-Ember". My initial thought was that it could have been a Prometheus reference, "A prideful monkey who stole fire from the gods", the animal part could be any colors, with the earthy tones fitting fine as a result, then have it holding a holy looking torch with it's tail for the fire typing. I imagine it having a branched evolution, one that becomes a Ghost/Rock type to continue the Prometheus reference, and another that stays Fire/Ground, becoming a flaming holy lemur. The "Cursed" and "Redeemed" forms.
Rattlisk: From Rattle and Basilisk. The idea of combining a poisonous snake with a petrifying basilisk fits the typing and shape really well. I don't really have any over the top details for this one aside from the fact that it could be a pseudo-legendary. The idea is certainly impressive enough.
Absolutely loved the chaos of this idea! Great job! Hope to see more like this in the future!
These three look sick, I think Gnuuuuuuuuu is my favorite, it just looks so good
I love this collab drawing video the most. being able to see the drawing process of each of them while they are talking to each other was great, and felt much more enjoyable to watch than the 4p1d or 10 make 1 (although those are still great). I'd love to see more!
Ron truly is the girlboss of all time
Phee definitely pronounced Gnu quite right, at least from a German POV, if my memory serves me right, they are actually called Wildebeest in English😊
Sie hatte manchmal auch nen deutschen Akzent iwie
Wait, they are? I thought they were different species entirely. Of course I also thought they were deer...
Loved this format and loved the guests. More of this please!
One perfect thing abt the gnu story is that during wildebeest migration, theyre known for crossing raging rivers, where many drown. So maybe the pokemon are the ones who drown, and use their powers to calm the waters and give way for their living herd mates.
I DID NOT JUST SEE A FLICK THE BEAN JOKE 😂😂😂😂
Sticking to the Africa theme with the Gnuuuu it could be named after the Swahili word for Death Kifo or the word for Ghost Roho.
Kind of want to see this comcept with Moxie as a guest. Absolute chaos would ensue
Hey Ron, instead of removing the whole wing you could've done a broken or half a wing.
Would love to see a follow up video where you all adjust these fakemon to your clarified vision. Like switching color palletes, creating evolution lines, etc.
Whoa I loved this video format! It has the collaboration elements I love about the 4 artist series, but its much more intimate and chaotic (in a fun way)! It's also nice to see everyone play from an even playing field until the wheel hits them! Hope to see more in this style!
We need either a follow up on the fakemons and/or more artists to do this or both.
This is so cool! I'd love to see more of this format
The wheel idea is genius! Please make more with it, it's so fun!
I can’t wait for more of these omg these sound FUN!
The Gnu hatred was unwarranted, unjustified and undeserved 😭😭 c'mon it's such a well known and cool animal 🥺
In this vid, Ron got more hyped than he ever has before
I find it funny that the challenge said 'no Ctrl Z' and not 'no eraser' and yet nobody seemed to try that lol
Dope guests, dope video concept! Can’t WAIT for part 2, would love to see these 2 artists back soon, if not in part 2 👀
20:39 this is literally bakugou-mon and I am so here for it 😂
I always love these sort of videos; they're hectic always, and everyone can share in the absolute state that is attempting to create something but then having to change it up last second. Reminds me of doing art comms lmfao
How about Gnuway for the Ghost/Water Gnu? Not only does it keep the name "Gnu" but it's a pun of "New Way" since it escorts other Wildebeests to a new path.
Flemur is definitely giving me Allmight and Endeavor vibes, "Have no fear, because I am here!"
What a mad and fun challenge.
I loved it when the Ghost Wildebeest got its original Ghostly / Water colour scheme back [thanks wheel of fortune]! xD It really does look Amazing.
Awesome video definitely need to run this concept back again
Here's a name suggestion for Bonney's Fakemon; Gnue. The name being a combination of Gnu and Nue, which is a type of Yokai. It's not a strong name with the design, but still
Edit: Also, I can't shake the similarities between Flemure's flares and Bakugo's mask from MHA
Alright, I'm only 7 minutes in, but I have to say; bats: no keel, insects: no keel, pterosaurs: no keel! Keels are exclusive to birds and are *not* required for every creature to fly!
Ok, eddit after watching the rest:
Gnuuuuuuuuuu is really great! There's just not enough stoic Pokemon, but this, I want one!
For the lemur; maybe Rescur; from resin, residue, rescue (heavy rescue is a type of fire fighter job, perfect for this guy,) and lemur, it also sounds like rescuer. I really like it's big energy. A solid design, maybe the ax just jutting out of its tail is a little much, but definitely a fun guy/girl boss you'd want to be rescued by!
Serpearl feels like a good first stage of a starter line! The single wing hinting at more to come, a design that's simple yet complicated, and it's oozing a reserved/cautious personality like, "don't step on me!"
10/10 for everybody!
"He must be protected!!
Anyway, I'd eat him" lmao
This is such a fun idea to do with friends
This was so creative and you all of a great job! Can’t wait for a part 2!
Ok, the ear tufts that were on the lemur, and the design in general, made me think of Bakugo, and now all I can see is Bakugo when I look at it XD
What a fun challenge! You should definitely provide others with access to the wheel you used for this, I'm sure a lot of artists would love to try out this challenge-myself included!
This needs to be a series it was awesome to watch!
The style Ron used on his pokemon this time looks SO much like traditional tattoo work. With the single wing and limited bold color especially *MWAH!*🤌🏼
Love the Fakemon game show vibe. Just need a comically large wheel and a live studio audience
pls have this trio again it was sm fun
this is the perfect thing to watch while eating warm food. tell me i’m wrong (thank you truegreen)
This was awesome, great to see some classic guests vibing in terror
This is an awesome challenge. I loved all the outcomes.
You need to do this again, it's fun to see!
omg the chemistry was so good pls make more collabs i loved it!!
snake body... rock/flying type... with gen 5 aesthetic... and THEN Ron pulled up the Quetzalcoatl colors! I really thought he was about to just draw Archeops lol! But all the designs were really fun and interesting! Would to see more chaos with the wheel!
These designs are utterly smashing in execution.
Ron, flying snek is adorable, I would adopt them. The sail wing is quite unique that makes it really stand out, definitly would make it's movement more different when I imagine it flying.
John, Gnuu has this mix of cool and haunting, it may look dead but it still looks strong with mask and floral growth.
Phee, Fleemer, the big arms and hands are a fav design in characters and I love how it came out, looks like they gives great hugs and the expression is neat, shows off that wild element to her that I also like. The fiery mane does give them a feminine element to them and I thought that is was going to be more behind the head rather on the sides.
The lemur fakemon has such a good design! It would look incredible with a proper color palette
I cannot with the flick the bean visual gag....
PLEASE THE EXPLOSIVE THINGY ON THE LEMUR'S HEAD REMINDS ME OF BAKUGOU KATSUKI FROM MY HERO ACADEMIA 😭🫠 you weren't wrong when you said it looks like a character
Fantastic video and absolutely two of the most underrated and talented artists!
I love all those designs and I think for the flying snake maybe it can use the one wing to steer itself in the sky like how fish use there pectoral fin in the water.
Yo dude just busting out that wildebeest design without pressing undo it's actually so good 🤣
11:31 I have never heard Ron so high-pitched
The gnu came up and my first thought was "Agent Silent G!" It's a throwaway joke from Phineas and Ferb!
"I wonder if there's any copyright colours" also Cadbury has been on an on-and-off legal appeal to trademark their purple for years
Snekiroth is the best parody idea ever!
It's cool to see everyone's different art styles
"What if I get flying and need to make a flying snake?"
Me, who knows gliding snakes actually exist: I think you'd be able to handle it
9:12 Lol someone’s phone went off and it sounds exactly like my ringtone
Gnu + Ghoul = Ghnoul. Substituting firefighter with hero: Lemuero. Don't have enough info on the snake to come up with a clever name ;).
Wow I really liked the colors after the inversion for the gnu!
"Teal is back on the menu, boys!"... I've found my people! ( bows) Thank you!
The way they talked about Flemir and did a voice for him, i could not help but picture him as a question russian firefighter lemur.
These collab videos are the best, hearing everyone riff and commentate was honestly great.
Side note I can't believe how slow and meticulous Ron's creative process is compared to someone like Cuppa who moves rapid!
I think Gnuuuuuu is a nearly perfect name. If forced to change it I'd simply go with Gnoo
