What you do is my retirement DREAM! My dad took me fishing every year in the Gulf and we're from Ohio so it's a TREAT for me to get down there! I would love nothing more than to be able to wake up and decide to ride out and do a little fishing today. What an amazing blessing,
I had a bad slip/fall the beginning of the year in Florida while fishing and cut my wrist on the barnacles stuck to the rock i sipped on i cut my median nerve and 2 of my tendons and 2 weeks ago went fir my second surgery so i have been out of action for a while its great to watch your videos it keeps me motivated to get better so i can get back out on the water keep up the great work 👌🙏
I’ve commented before, since I’ve been watching your vids for so long, but here in NC I saw a charter boat come back with a 109.6lb Greater Amberjack a few weeks ago! It was amazing to see, since most of the grown fish come in between like 20-30lbs. Total length the AJ was 5’7”….
@@BamaSaltwater Yeah man I can’t imagine what it felt like to reel it in. Probably felt like reeling in a truck😂 I’m seeing a bunch of species of fish nowadays, since i’m working for the NC Marine Fisheries, which is cool. I would much rather be out on the water fishing with you though!
My son loves your channel! He watches all the time and is trying to learn about fishing in the gulf before we vacation in Ft Morgan this fall. He sent you some fan mail recently to your PO Box. I hope it made it to you. 🤞😊
Hey Steve, could we possibly get a boat tour video? I have a scout 17 like you had, and I'm trying to get into a 21-24ft bay boat, your Clearwater is a great boat and I'm certain it was much more reasonably priced than a new boat. You've got it rigged perfectly! Thanks Steve. Tight lines and safe travels.
Once again, I feel like I'm fishing right next to you when I watch your videos! You are doing an amazing job! I appreciate the education you give us while you are baiting up! All around solid content consistently. 👌
I really enjoy these videos of yours. The videos are very informative and you make it very easy to understand exactly the methods that you are using, then how to identify and target the species of the fish you are after. It's a real Georgia see someone and fish like I used to just having fun catching whatever's biting with you keep it or not. I am physically unable to fish like I used and I never really had a chance to try these type of fishing trips, but I think some day I might be able to. Sometime soon, I would love to load up in a boat go out into the Gulf of Mexico to try and catch some red snapper like this. You are doing you do a great job with this so please keep it up.
At 5:52 you mentioned that Shimano jig and said it was ounce and 1/2. I’m new to all this but i was thinking you would need to be heavier than that to get down deep. Am I wrong ? Nice video and catches by the way.
Ironically I got to watch this one right around the corner from you on the way to Pcola this morning for work. Good luck if you’re out there today. Weather and water seem nice.
Another great video.. loved the sea turtle and glad you explained sending the red snapper back down and being release at 50 ft. I was wondering why but you beat me from having to google it.. Thanks..
Hello I love your videos you are fun too watch I can’t wait too move too Alabama and start saltwater fishing I have a question let’s say you got like 2 miles off shore how do you know which way too get back?
I have a 17ft panfish boat a G3 to be exact. I’ve never saltwater fished before but I wanna try Mobile Bay and fish around some rigs. Where would I need to launch and if the water is calm I should be good right?
Lol, I got a notification for this video when I got to light house coming in and I was thinking to myself “There’s no way he uploaded this quick, I just saw him at an oil rig a couple hours ago.” I now realize it was uploaded before hand.
It prevents the bait from spinning on the way down. It'll help greatly to prevent your rig from tangling up and helps with making a more natural presentation ! Thank you!!
That grab fell onto the edge of the boat when you pulled that trash from the water. Then he moved around until he fel off the side while you was filing the trash and everything on it.
I can remember when I was younger. Probably 30 years ago. If we caught AJ's where we were fishing, we'd pull anchor and move. It's funny how things change
Hey Steve, what make and model is your boat and how is it equipped? Is the hard canopy fairly easy to take on and off? What was the approx. cost of your boat as equipped?

I was a captain of a charter boat and first mate on a party boat back in the 1990's we had a customer on the party boat catch a 75lb amber jack it was a fight to remember for the customer they are very strong fish and fight to the end.
Was up all night trying to learn how to the metal leaders to braid or mono. Dammit it’s hard lol I’m about to say screw it and just always have some black swivels with me lol
Bro that trash looks like the remains of a Fish Aggregating Device(FAD). Somebody gonna be looking for their spot and it won't be there😂😂😂. Tight lines my brotha.
Thank you for your very informative videos! Having only fished one offshore trip years ago, (with a very inexperienced captain), I've learned a great deal from your videos. Looking forward to putting some of that knowledge to good use while in GS over a long Labor Day weekend!
caught a 6 foot shark off the surf using things i learned from your videos
What kind of shark
Awesome !! That's a big one man!
You are so underrated. Deserve more recognition!
Thank you!

Awesome video. You should go sheepshead fishing with sea urchins 😊

I fish nothing but public reefs and spots I find while trolling. There's so many out there.
I just found your channel and I’m headed to fort Morgan? Do you do guided trips? Lol
Awesome video in your opinion what's the best tasting saltwater fish you had
