they do the guild restrictions, because people constantly make alts, to make guilds, to make money, theres thousands of single player guilds just used for making money, so they have to restrict it somehow to prevent people from abusing it. Switch character to alt guild, take guild funds, hop back over to new guild transfer funds etc

@@anemopixie5220 then do mist content cause that where most solo players go but i do agree that its not fun playing by yourself. Thats why you need to find comrades in this game first as a newbie.
I love how you say the game isn't for YOU, but the Pro List is pretty long and extensive. That's very fair of you, realizing you might not love the game, but understanding the reasons others do. What drew me to it, though admittedly I didn't stay, was the 'MOBA Combat in an MMO'.
Most of the pros are either things you almost expect of every game in current year or depended on the person, like a classless combat system & the player driven economy are not inherently a plus. The cons while fewer in number are I would imagine a deal breaker for most, awful combat and no sense of progression and lackluster world design.
Greater Mists are for 2v2, You need to enter on "normal" ones for solo, cooldown to join guilds, its to prevent people from being payed"mercenarys" special on 5v5 Crystal Ranked. In old times wen you need to win 5v5 match to conquer a terri its very bad because if one guild have funds and pay gvgers they will conquer most of the territories.
My biggest problem with this game is that "PvE" players are forced to go to full-loot PvP zones to farm late game resources. Nobody is going to be buying your T3 wood on the marketplace because *everybody* is farming T3 wood and nobody needs it because they all have better gear. It's guaranteed that you're going to be ganked in those zones. The reality is that this game is not for PvE players at all; it's for PvP players who like to relax with PvE content every once in a while. I loved the game, but this was the biggest turnoff for me.
@@neftneft7411I've crushed PvP in MMOs longer than you've been alive. What I'm criticizing is that the game tricks PvE players into thinking that it has PvE elements in order to artificially inflate it's player count (until said players eventually just leave the game). It's a dishonest way to run a game. There are far better PvP focused MMOs out there that I play instead. But again, y'all have terrible reading comprehension.
Thank you for this video! I saw an ad for Albion and wasn't sure what it was like, since I have a huge chunk of social anxiety and always wanted to play online games like these it definitely helped me see what to expect.
Great vid as always Peon! Albion feels so populated it's such a refreshing experience and overall a great break from other MMOs - would highly recommend.
you played in the duo mists by yourself. You can fight other solo players in the smaller mists called "The Mists" instead of the greater mists. Also corrupted dungeons are worth it because of the money, that's why pvp players do them(in lethal zones of course). also demonic probably didn't seem very impactful because you weren't playing it right, and because it got a massive nerf recently where the e uses all of your vile curse charges, which greatly decreases your damage output overall, and on your w, that only does good damage when you actually have stacks on the player. The range weapon hit you offscreen because it's whispering bow, some stupid shit that buffs you for a bit so your autos do more damage and have much longer range. It was also the weapon you died to in the mists. Also those expeditions that you did were the really shit ones, in order to get actually good rewards, you have to do hardcore expeditions, which require endgame gear like full 8.3 and high spec. They're also much more entertaining because they are far harder to do with your group, and there are big repair bills on the line. also for the paying to remove the progression thing, a youtuber named swolebenji did the calculations, and just to max out your equipment(weapons, armor, offhands, no crafting or gathering nodes), you need $85,500 USD, and to max the whole destiny board, it'll come up to $133,500 USD. Also the completionist content is everywhere, getting premium for every month, maxing out destiny board, getting a mammoth, hideouts, castles, and territories in the black zone, and then keeping them, and on top of that, getting high on corrupted dungeon and hellgate leaderboards. The game is meta driven, but there are so many weapons in the meta that it is more like these specific weapons aren't the meta, and everything else is.
I also certainly think he missed out on albion by only playing non-lethal which of course feels not impactful because the reward there is minuscule in comparison to red or black zone. I have definitely felt the impact of a death in lethal-zones which even got my heart to beat fast because of the fear of losing my silver.
i played 1000 hours of albion, the one really shit fucking thing is that premium is literally the most baseline flat out pay2win thing ever. Pay 10 bucks a month, get more loot/money lmfao.
@@theGn0rp I've actually been forced to play without it for a long time now because I'm an f2p player, so i use silver to buy prem, but the prices have basically tripled since I started playing. It's not too bad if you are later game and don't need the spec as much, but to be fair, the loot difference with premium is definitely noticeable, and being able to make millions per month with focus from premium is op as hell for the people who can afford it.
I am really enjoying this game, I have already put in 300 hours in the last 6 weeks since East server started. After a day of work, I kick back put on some music and just gather resources as I keep improving my gathering specialization and unlocking higher tiers of gathering that will help me gather more valuable resources. Eventually I will use these gathered materials to craft all kinds of armor and weapons and improve my crafting specialization. I have this dream of becoming the "Master Crafter" for my guild, to be able to craft all kinds of high-tier gear that my guild can use in large-scale battles. It's funny to see that my kind of gameplay has zero representation in this video. I don't think the video is doing much justice to the title "Albion Online in 2023".
It is. All things he said is true. If you just love gathering then thats a different story. I got fed up with it so i quit. This game for mainly guild players.

There is another pve content in Albion called "ava raids" / Avalonian Dungeon / Large Group Dungeon which is basically 20 players clearing a massive randomized group dungeon which takes 40-60 mins on average :D dope content !
I really wanted Albion to be my mmo home. Especially because I was an OG ultima online player and this seemed sorta close to that. I just couldn't get over the things most people probably don't care about like not having buildings you can go into like a Tavern to hang out in with people. I didn't like that almost all the bioms in each of its respective areas were all identical. Including dungeons. And last the housing is bland. You can't really decorate it which seems like a lost cause! In ultima you could pimp out your house with cool decor including rare artifacts you could steal in dungeons which was great bragging rights and added to the economy tremendously! All and all, I want a game that has the role play elements and this game doesn't have them! Which is cool, most people I guess just care about pvp with a fantasy looking world. I always do keep checking on this game hoping they start heading that direction but they probably will never so I might as well accept that! Almost my dream mmo! Lol
I feel the same way dude. This game is like a few changes away from being my ideal mmo. It just lacks soul of the mmorpgs i used to play, the rpg, adventure and discovery gameplay also no hangout spots for players to interact
Couple of things to point out on your comment. You can absolutely decorate your island. Look for videos of how people have done theirs, some are over the top amazing. There are hundreds of assets you can use that are only vanity based for decorations and the range across all the different factions of pve mobs as well as trees and flowers and dozens of different items you can put on the ground that can be walked on to create different path and floor looks. There are buildings you can go in, Hideouts are a main one and all castles (outdoor structures with a heavy focus on pvp with timers spawning chests inside multiple times a day that will attract large groups constantly). If you haven't played in the blackzones with groups you may never have been inside one. They are a safe space in the blackzones for your guild/group. You can decorate inside them, there is a central chest to store items and you can build buildings inside them for crafting and refining. And if you havent experienced being inside of one when it gets destroyed...it is a very unique experience. When they are being attacked and you are inside the building rattles and shakes and dust falls and it actually feels fairly brutal to see you home getting wrecked. The everything feels similar things I get. I would add that not all dungeons feel the same. There are definitely differences in statics, group, solo, Ava, corrupted and hellgates all based on the tier. Group expeditions are still fairly active but get pretty challenging as your progress. Don;t get me wrong, they all follow a principle functionality unlike games such as WoW where every dungeon is unique more or less, but the way they are played, the pvp that can happen inside them, and the spawn timers of all sorts of chests and bosses make them feel interesting. Not trying to talk you into playing this over anything else, but just wanted you to see things that maybe you haven't seen yet. watch vids on castle sieges and ava dungeons and hellgates and island decorating just to see if there might be more there than you previously thought. Season 21 is about to start and the game will be hopping again with tons of guilds shifting cities to realign and get the best content they can for their players.
There is an game called Arcane Legends that has some of the things you listed there . The only problem might be the lack of players nowadays but am not sure about that. You can play it on mobile or pc , give it a try!
thanks for the very frank and honest review. my main criteria of an MMO is that population must be huge, risk vs reward (full loot pvp) and less bots. albion meets these criteria. Not many MMOs have these characteristics. The economy is also self-driven which is unique
In my opinion, Albion Online is a lot of fun when you're part of a big guild. Taking part in big zvz battles, capturing territories or castles, and getting involved in the game's politics are some of the best parts. It feels great to beat another guild or alliance that you don't get along with. By joining a large guild and learning about the politics, you'll enjoy knowing who your enemies are and what your guild is fighting for. Additionally, when your guild accomplishes the goals that all members have worked hard for, you can truly experience the greatness of both your own and your guild's achievements. This sense of accomplishment makes the game even more enjoyable and rewarding.
when youre part of a big guild its fun. but solo you still need to deal with being ganked in areas that you need to explore to get better for pve content. thats my gripe with the game - cant progress naturally in the world unless you travel into pvp zones
Being in a guild is not fun. You get treated like a cog in a machine. A piece of meat. You get screamed at over voice comms if you do anything they don't want you to. You aren't allowed any piece of the pie from a fight. You don't get paid. You get heavily taxed, and you're surrounded by insufferable people in every single one. Every action you do in a guild just makes someone else more rich. It's suffering in its purest form.
@@akyo19 the issue is the dev focus is on guild/group content with no care for solo players. cost to do things is hella high too. teleporting is a fortune, god forbid you want a player island lol and having to transport stuff from a full loot zone is ridiculous
@@SwoleBenji sounds like great fun lol they need to separate pve and pvp content altogether and not force those who want to play solo, to join groups and guilds just to barely progress
@@SwoleBenji Aren't you the guy who jailed people on purpose in Lost Ark because "it's fun" and then brag about it when shit hit the fan? Yeah, seems like you deserve what happens to you.
Arena is very entry level pvp content. As someone who’s been pvping for 3 years on albion with 30,000 player kills, the best pvp content is small scale roaming BZ. Walk around outside a portal town with 4-5 people and you get fights for hours.
You get to zerg down newbies that don't know about the invis bubble. Roaming the bz in 4-6 is fun once or twice but it gets stale fast. Having to gank poor solo players and split the sales of their T4 set.
@@Peppeblackmetal that's why I laugh when Albion players boast about the amount of kills they have. There is a very small portion who are actually good and show that by killing zergs that are less than 3 players by utilizing poke and map properly. Albion imo is best game for anyone who wants to zerg because the communities and guilds are filled with politics and mainly group killing solo players.
@@BlingBoyOto The thing with Albion is that politics there are super boring too. There is this "unwritten rule" of no drama between top clans, and most top & veteran players from "rival" guilds are in most cases all good friends with each other. Even some 2nd tier Classic WoW servers had more interesting politics than Albion. Here its like 69 home alabama, endless "frendly scuffle". You may not notice it as a new player but once you get it you will be bored fast and no incentive to fight for your guild even.
@@Peppeblackmetal zerg down noobies with 4 people? We’re not a zerg. And we don’t gank. We look to fight bigger groups at contested chests or we go to hideout zones to dive dungeons. It’s not worth killing the noobs in t4 lol
I love Peon and I also love Albion. Albion is not a perfect game in any sense and as someone who has played most MMORPGs to end game I can honestly say that Albion is the one game that does social systems the best. I think approaching Albion as if it was a standard MMORPG is the wrong way to go about it. Albion Online is 1 part MMO and 1 part roguelike survival game. Its best enjoyed with a couple friends as you would in a game like Rust or Ark, or Valheim. Sure all these games are enjoyable for solo players but as soon as you bring pvp into any of these its not going to be fun unless you have some pals to throw down with and laugh about the losses and the victories. In regards to spending money to advance, sure you can do that but then you deprive yourself of one of the main goals in albion, skilling up and creating a self sufficient economy. One where you dont have to drop 100-200 dollars every month just to keep up with the gear losses or leveling boosts. If you ever casually try albion again, I hope you get to do so without the pressure of creating something for viewers and get to enjoy with a couple friends who also enjoy pvp content in a massive open world.
I've played mmos on and off a bit and I always have had the tendency to go and do the more obscure "jobs" or "occupations" because they just seek more interesting and that is what I live about Albion. They have so much support for the more chill play styles for supporting the player economy that I love doing.
the game is hands down the most epic, engaging game out there with complex systems, simple systems that blend to form a complex mega system. Most of the critique is accurate but from the lens of the standard MMORPGs out there. Albion is in a class of its own, its sandbox nature is what makes it unique and attractive.
As a completionist myself I have a very different view on Albion than Peon. This is by far the most difficult game "to complete" Ive ever done. Its actually so hard that no-one in this game have complete Destiny board. Thats the challenge I want. It sounds like Peon needs something more easy in my ears.
@@blastoise44 agreed, even tho i have played from beta and fresh wipe when game launched i havent completed it but i know people that have played less than a year and have majority completion already if not fully completed but yes it does take a long time and it is definetly a worthwhile grind
He ring in on the silver to gold trade but he did not seem realize that also means you can get gold for free and the silver you buy is from players and not generated on the spot. He then try to make a extreme case of gold selling to say its pointless.
@@blastoise44 Rough estimate: u need atleast 6 bil crafting fame for full craft spec. Then amongst those players they need like min 60 mil gathering fame (Numbers might be a bit off, but we opperate in these kind of numbers), and to my knowledge none of this handfull of people have full destiny board.
An actual "quit moment" is when you do endgame GVG and half guild leaves and joined the enemy guild mid fight. Thank God they listened to player feedback and put a three day cooldown on joining guilds, it's a serious deal that messes with a lot of seige, and outpost content in the game along with guild seasonal reward content.
I just want to take a moment to appreciate that you, an MMO RPG channel, are sponsored by Warframe. Even if it wasn't all that great of a game, which it is, just the fact alone that it's an actual MMO RPG and not raid shadow legends and they go around sponsoring people who genuinely care is amazing.
Albion grew up nicely. Now you have contents for everyone including solo players... that's what made me cone back to the game after 2 years of break, and even started makimg videos around Albion 😊
i started playing albion again after the singapore server released, and i was just watching your 2022 review of this game wishing you'd do an updated version of it and here we are. 😍😍🥰
I enjoyed being a humble miner/blacksmith I loved making gear for my guild I love the freedom of the game, the mounts are sick I haven’t played in a year but this might make me get back into it
well most of his complaints really stem from not wanting to get out there in the open world to do something. When he was talking about how he'd jsut play arena all day, it sounds like league of legends would be a better fit for you. than albion, which is about finding ways to make money, killing people, and grinding a fuck ton. xD
There is a massive difference in doing things completely solo and doing things with groups and friends. If you have a large guild the content feels limitless. Also, because of the full loot aspect even guilds are at the mercy of larger guilds in alliances. Hideouts can be destroyed, territories can be taken away. Because of this there are tons of ways to play and fit in, make friends, and grow. You didn't get to experience any of the things that were shown in the traileresque highlights. The castle sieges, the outposts, ZvZ fights between hundreds of people. Wars are declared and everyone will know a massive fight is going to happen in a specific zone at a specific time so things go nuts for like an hour or two in one zone with hundreds of players full loot killing each other. In these there are tons of builds needed, there is no meta. Some builds excel in various forms of content. What looks OP in a 1v1 is utter shit in any large scale battle, etc. Just hard to watch someone review this essentially looking through a window at it. If you want to know what the game is about as an MMO, you have to include the MMORPG part of it.
@@exiledone69 eh, graphics are by design to look that way. They don't look bad when you play. Not shooting for a realistic feel as it would most likely ruin optimization when there are hundreds of players around all using abilities. have to try it to understand. much like wow went with a cartoony look so that it ages well, this is a specific art style. If you like the style, the art looks pretty decent is many places. As far as eve goes, no. No one is losing $100,000 in a single battle on a ship or something like that. The most you really could lose at once is up to you and with damage escalation even high gear people can get rocked and taken out by low tier players playing well. usually not 1v1, but in group content someone wearing tier 4 can kill someone wearing t8 no problem if they play well.
@@tesladrew2608 His recommendations carry weight. people do or do not try these games based on the things he says. So to play 10% or less of the games activities and declare there is nothing to do in it because you didn't play with a group is worth pointing out as a reason to take another look. If you are new, there are tons of guilds that are willing to take you on. My guild recruited 10 people in the last two weeks that were new and are working with them to get fame/spec in gear they can use for all kinds of things. These new players have been in massive bombs, 100+ group pvp, territory defenses and assaults (admittedly we put them in battle mounts because they would be wrecked in the scrum with low ip and low gear, faction battles, dungeons and dungeon dives, running cores and vortexes, syphon mage runs, gank groups, clap groups, bomb groups, etc. We run something every night and we have people on constantly. We sometimes put on the flat 4 gear and ride donkeys out to take group fights and win pretty damn often making millions while risking like 30k silver each. We do gather groups so they can build their economy. And we are 1 of literally thousands of guilds someone can join. If he didn't join a guild, it was because he didn't try. Which is fine because you can play this game solo, but you miss out. That was my whole point.
The progression is 100% linear. You go from tier 2 to tier 8 in gathering, combat, and crafting. Yeah you can grind t2 to get to end game where as in WoW you have to eventually go to contested zones (as it should be) but there isn't a way to really skip around other than paying 2 win.
expeditions are not dead, they are played at a higher level with 1600 ip, they are called HCE, you have to buy maps and if u have a great comp and party u can make nice silver from them.
I was interested in this years back when it was still a PoC. But the PvP mechanics always push me away from such games. This is why i never bought Sea of Thieves despite being in their early pre-alpha pioneer program, there were only like 150 of us, we had TONS of fun but we didn't play it like most people do lol. We just clowned around mostly. As i've gotten older, PvP just isn't my thing anymore. Socom 1,2, and 3 were my hayday lol, good times, but long gone. I just want to chill and kill stuff with friends.
Been playing for 4 years, and I gotta agree with most of the cons, especially with the completionist one. I'd already be a lot happier with an extended stat/achievement tab for a start
I was trying to find a helpful and inspiring video. I will also try to create a review for this game in Greek! You really are inspiration for a small YT channel such as ours! Thank you!
Hi Peon, sadly you only did low lvl content apart from the greater mist(wich is a 2man mist). You could have done hardcore expedition, open world dungeons, open group dungeons, onpen world fame farm and ressources gathering and many more. but i still liked the video :)
this was an interesting one, I also thought it would be way more positive given your prior reviews of this game, but I get it, I got into albion for a bit because of your previous video and I really want to like the game, but at some point it just felt meaningless, theres a lot of games where I like just doing crafting while watching stuff on the other screen, but other mmo's just do that whole loop better.
Love watching your content, though I think you were shortsighted on this review. The situation seems like you are more tuned towards a theme park mmorpg rather than a sandbox mmorpg. People don't play Albion for the lore or to go sightseeing, people play Albion to interact in various ways with other people and take advantage of the world. Since it is a sandbox mmorpg, there are many many different ways to interact. Given that, the best way to describe Albion is that it has the reflexes and keyboard layout of League of Legends while injecting sandbox mmorpg content that rewards working smarter rather than working harder. PvP in Albion seems simplistic at first, but if you are any veteran of Dark Souls and rolling s, you will quickly find out you can damage/cc with ability mechanics, which determines if you win a fight or not. I highly suggest new players taking advantage of the market as it is an easy source of silver, where players learning how to corner the market are awarded immensely. Hopefully, you can give Albion another shot later, and if you're going for Big Damage...... go dagger pair ^___^.
Definitely agree on the shortsighted part. In this review i feel like he mostly played non-lethal pvp which of course is less impactful than lethal-pvp.
I play MMOs for the RPG. I like to immerse into story and progression. i definitely play it solo. but love things like group events, World bosses, etc. something like this seems to focus more on the MMO than the RPG (or at least the elements of such that i enjoy). I've tried it a few times on my phone, but it never clicked. (no pun intended)
I agree with your pros and cons, and honestly idk what it is about Albion that a like particularly but it's one of the few games that can keep my interest long term, so until i find something better it's my main mmo.
I feel like saying that albion doesn't have completionist content is just plain wrong. The destiny board is all about that, getting 100 on any crafting node is a huge deal, and even more so if you specialize on a niche node, since people are always looking for maxed crafters to make the high end stuff for them.
Albion is super when you are playing with your friends or a larger guild, there really an infinite type of content and the thrill of losing your gear makes everything spicier, playing in safe zones is just for beginners, after you get confidence and some money in your bank you can more happily die in the Black zone (High risks High rewards) or killing an 8.3 guy in the black zone that drops 10m worth of loot and you can buy Premium that helps a lot in game with silver, which is something that not very games do
Lol u can't kill a 8.3 guy with low tier like 4.3 you'll just get killed easily. Unless if you have guildmates or friends with you, ofc it's easy, but if you are solo, mehh. You just quit cuz lack of content and slow progress.
I hope the devs address his points cuz they good points especially about progression and completionist goals, imagine if u had to farm different bosses to get 1/5000 chance of pets like osrs for example
I disagree the progression is fine he literally just pay his way to lv 100 not really satisfying reaching lv 100 if u use real money also one of the most stupid way to use gold dont do that.
TheLazypeon id love to take you for a day to show you whats albion all about, just running it solo wont even be close to what you can expirience. Let me know if your intrested.
14:04 if you dont understand that preventing guild hopping in a full loot pvp game like this with scheduled guild wars is important then maybe you are not qualified to opine on this game.
To be fair Peon, you are not trying the actual good content of the game, big ZvZ battles, the raids etc. Albion is a game where you need a guild, and possibly even an alliance. That is where the game shines. That being said, alot of what you say is absolutely true, my biggest problem with Albion is that there really isnt any fun and good content PvE-wise unless you got a guild to do the raids. That, and the fact that there is no EU server for some reason.
@@SwoleBenji it is a 1 server game for SEA, everyone in SEA would definitely be able to play with anyone in the same region. the only reason it has 2 servers is because of latency but im pretty sure you knew that already.

Your take on the combat in this is how I felt when I played. Also, not having a group to play with makes the game daunting as an introvert. I also have similar issues with combat in ESO. The difference is a love the world in ESO and the character building. But the combat turns me off and I can't stick with it, sadly.
The combat system in this game is meant for groups of people. The game is boring if you dont have a group of people to play with. Im also an introvert and i recommend u to join a guild and just be part of the comm u dont really have to speak. U can start slow by using the chat instead of talking.
this game was the reason i build up enough courage to join a guild and that was how i met some best peoplei have ever met so i think u should join in this and like really communicate with people since the game becomes alot more fun
Full-loot in top content areas paired with nonexistent lore and no progression really strips Albion of most of its potential. It feels more like MOBA than a MMO. Jump-in Jump-out kind of activity. Even full loot guild wars & solo ganks won't bring you much satisfaction, since most people wear expandable gear and chance to hit something big is like 1 in 1000000 even if all you do is prowl rival guild BZ turfs searching for farmers or carriers.
needs pve content to be separate from pvp (some can still be mixed) but so many pve players dont want to play because its an unfortunate ultimatum you need to accept
@@lovathon6365 I think they can just add YZ high end content. The thing is not with PvP in general, but with full-loot PvP. And if you want to have good stuff you NEED to go RZ or BZ. Albion is by default PvP game, there are little to none PvE players (not counting bots & RMT farmers) because there is almost nothing in terms of PvE. But there is a difference between normal PvP and full loot. Normal free PvP is something most people will enjoy. But full loot PvP is just a very niche thing only a certain type of people enjoy.
Perfect as always! I totally agree with you about this game. I have got at least three attempts to love this game, without success. But I didn't really understand why and your video helped me with that. And as always you show us the unique advantages of the product, it's very cool. You dive deep into games, do it with soul and pretty funny, your reviews are my favorite. And of course I use your videos for listening to improve my English (oh God, it's perfect british accent). You have my thanks for all of that! I'll be waiting for your next video!
The West servers are in a massive decline, and the game is harder than ever to start as a new player economically. This means it takes a grueling amount of time for new players to become financially secure.
how does pvp work in a game like this where you sorta design your own class? In games like this, pvp revoles around knowing your class and knowing the enemy class. But how does that work here? Is it possible to know the enemy class?
Your comment about lack of completionist content seems to ignore the existence of the Conqueror's Challenge, Adventurer's Challenge, and Faction Challenge - all offering weekly, monthly, and seasonal rewards for progressing in all facets of the game.
"If you are paying for fame in albino than you are not truly playing albino". For me it's one of the best MMORPG. The feeling of finally reaching 100 specs is oddly satisfying. The zvz fight, bandit assault, faction warfare etc large scale battle are always fun. And the felling of getting a gold static dungeon chest 😂😂 with millions of loot , felling of finally gathering 8.4 resources etc. has always been fun for me ❤.

What drew me to it, though admittedly I didn't stay, was the 'MOBA Combat in an MMO'.
that how games should be reviewed at all times ...

Absolutely Accurate to the Point review of what Albion currently is.
I am not having as much fun as I did in the past.
I just got back into this game yesterday, good timing sir!
thanks for the very frank and honest review. my main criteria of an MMO is that population must be huge, risk vs reward (full loot pvp) and less bots. albion meets these criteria. Not many MMOs have these characteristics. The economy is also self-driven which is unique
Thanks for making the videos. This is another MMO that I had actually forgotten about.

Bruh what a great timing just about yesterday i started playing this game to see if it's was worth it well im hooked
Sounds like eve, with worse graphics?
100% agree. A pretty poor representation of the game in general imo.
Not exactly his fault he wasn't able to join a guild
This is the best pros and cons I have ever seen in an albion online video and I am saying this as a veteran player who has 5k+ hour in game.
This game is very good! Play it on and off. The Mists are GREAT. And there's no lineair progression like WOW or something
The progression is 100% linear. You go from tier 2 to tier 8 in gathering, combat, and crafting. Yeah you can grind t2 to get to end game where as in WoW you have to eventually go to contested zones (as it should be) but there isn't a way to really skip around other than paying 2 win.
@@SwoleBenji all the dungeons in the game are linear as well
expeditions are not dead, they are played at a higher level with 1600 ip, they are called HCE, you have to buy maps and if u have a great comp and party u can make nice silver from them.
Hardcore expeditions get SIGNIFICANTLY harder the higher tier you run and it’s some of the best money in the game from Silver drops.
yeah, but they're not particularly "fun". i see your point, though.

I swear to god I'm sure I saw this exact video a little while back. Either it's a reupload, or I'm traveling to the future in my sleep.
Amazing how this video comes out as I install the game for the first time.
Jaffycake approves of Albion Online
Props to your editor for the meme audio he added at @6:18, that was golden!
I agree with your pros and cons, and honestly idk what it is about Albion that a like particularly but it's one of the few games that can keep my interest long term, so until i find something better it's my main mmo.
Is Craig still making his personal vlogs in Thailand? Miss those.
I feel like saying that albion doesn't have completionist content is just plain wrong.
The destiny board is all about that, getting 100 on any crafting node is a huge deal, and even more so if you specialize on a niche node, since people are always looking for maxed crafters to make the high end stuff for them.
Congrats Peon for getting sponsored by warframe!!
@@anemopixie5220 of course I am talking about groups ganking lol, it's not a solo game
@@anemopixie5220 nah bro see on UA-cam😅😅
think im back with WASD when its live, good video as always
I hope the devs address his points cuz they good points especially about progression and completionist goals, imagine if u had to farm different bosses to get 1/5000 chance of pets like osrs for example
I disagree the progression is fine he literally just pay his way to lv 100 not really satisfying reaching lv 100 if u use real money also one of the most stupid way to use gold dont do that.
TheLazypeon id love to take you for a day to show you whats albion all about, just running it solo wont even be close to what you can expirience. Let me know if your intrested.
I tested this game just to try it out.......... Its AMAZING !
Hey man, awesome vid, very insightful, wanted to ask you what is your Main MMO
The thing I like most about the game is definitely the 1 server aspect.
Sorry but it's two servers now. East and West. West is dying because everyone defaults to East.
@@SwoleBenji it is a 1 server game for SEA, everyone in SEA would definitely be able to play with anyone in the same region. the only reason it has 2 servers is because of latency but im pretty sure you knew that already.
@@SwoleBenjiwhy are you replying to so many comments in the vid being gloomy ?
@@SwoleBenji hi dude, i knew i remember that name , love your vids, my go to guide whenever i play albion lol
@@SwoleBenji doubt it's dying considering how over populated the west server was. The population l, Which was fine, doubled during the pandemic. As a result, there was/is people everywhere and you can't really do much in 1-2 people.
Just started on Albion Mobile yesterday seems like it's gonna be good, used to play guildwars 2 but gave up pc and console gaming a few yrs ago now
Your take on the combat in this is how I felt when I played.
U can start slow by using the chat instead of talking.
hey man, just starting, lmk if you want to group! i also have no friends lol
this game was the reason i build up enough courage to join a guild and that was how i met some best peoplei have ever met so i think u should join in this and like really communicate with people since the game becomes alot more fun
Hey, review Blightbound, it's no an MMop but it's a great game and needs a bit of a push in population
WASD and more Duo content will 100% bring the wife and I back to Albion for at LEAST another 100 hours!
w00t
generally a great video, i'm going back to check albion out
Perfect as always!
Its not even dive deep its more like the tip of the ice berg.
Early, liked, know it will be good.
Saw your tweet for what games to revisit. Nice choice 👌
The West servers are in a massive decline, and the game is harder than ever to start as a new player economically. This means it takes a grueling amount of time for new players to become financially secure.
The day after I download Albion this video drops. Going to jump in after exam week. Excited to play a new mmo :))
how does pvp work in a game like this where you sorta design your own class? In games like this, pvp revoles around knowing your class and knowing the enemy class. But how does that work here? Is it possible to know the enemy class?
Your comment about lack of completionist content seems to ignore the existence of the Conqueror's Challenge, Adventurer's Challenge, and Faction Challenge - all offering weekly, monthly, and seasonal rewards for progressing in all facets of the game.
Now that's a sponsored segment i can get behind, Warframe is better now than it ever was.
"it feels like you're sword fighting with a balloon" Oh boy, where do I sign up?!?
I'm new here, I think I want to be a trap guy? is it viable here? or are spell traps &/or items somewhat garbage here?
Peon being salty about not getting sponsored by Albion. There's a huge difference in Albion content from the past (where he was sponsored) and this video. We all get it mate, so no biggie.
Felt like a very short sighted review of the game
Very solid video.
Bro i was watching this knowing what im clicking but still thought the intro was a sponsor segment
Jeez man your looking good. Great job
I started two days ago and I absolutely love it
Gotta appreciate the honesty of this review!
Man Peons old Albion videos sounded like a Raid Legengs commercial.
Looks like someone got paid for the other videos but not this one
