Congress and anyone else is expressly forbidden from infringing on the right to keep and bear arms. 2. No record vote was taken in either House or Senate, just that a voice vote was held with Ayes in favor. 3. Rifles were never even mentioned in the original draft proposed by Attorney General Cummings, while pistols were the main target. 4. The only reason why wording on rifles was added was Minnesota Congressman Knutson was worried rifles would be affected, even though there was no mention of them in the draft. 5. The original draft had the arbitrary shotgun barrel length of 16" listed as the limit. After Knutson's tweaks, shotguns and rifles were arbitrarily regulated at 18", to prevent people from having pistol-length or concealable firearms. 6. The removal of pistols from the final draft fundamentally negated the unconstitutional concealable firearms regulatory intent, and made the short barrel shotgun and short barrel rifle provisions meaningless, in addition to being arbitrary and unconstitutional. 7. The NFA was magically amended in the 1960s, changing the arbitrary minimum barrel length for rifles from 18" back to the original draft shotgun length of 16", while leaving the shotgun barrel length at 18". Why? A combination of incompetence, tyranny, and just molesting us for fun can only explain it.
