Lol texas is liberal I live in San Antonio, I'm trying to move back to Virginia only seen 1 cowboy in almost a year, seen more in my suburban home town.
The US Constitution says "The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." If local governments have the right to impose gun laws, that means local governments can ignore higher authorities. By government, I mean ANY entity responsible for an area of ground or facility. By this logic, then I, as a home owner, have the authority to override anything about the government I want on my private land... Think about the precedent this sets...

Just like a gun owner. Since y'all carry guns, y'all think, y'all should be able to carry anywhere. 2nd amendment don't give you the right, to carry a gun on someone property, if they don't want you to.
That is something out of New York city. I listened to that woman talk who was with the state fair, she is another one from that part of the country. Never listen to anyone who tries to recreate what they run away from. Because, it does not work and they know it.
Just being Ex Police does not mean you can carry a gun. It’s retired Law Enforcement, however, you have several requirements to be allowed to carry a gun. Basically you have to still be a cop but now you don’t work full time. Almost like being a reservist, and I say almost. Also retired law enforcement know, or should know, the laws, where military personnel generally just know how to use a firearm.

Here is a question for all gun-grab advocates: how many disarmed Americans (in cities where 'gun free zones' make armed self-defense a felony) have their blood on your hands; thanks to your support for criminals, at the expense of law-abiding citizens....?
Any place that says - guns not permitted - I stay away from, patronize only those places that permit guns, probably get more business than the others and the people are more polite
Someone who wasn't supposed to have a gun, snuck a gun into a place where unarmed people were. So, banning lawful gun owners leaves fair goers in the same position as last year to any person who wants to sneak a gun in. Makes sense.
I dont go places I can't carry. I'm not going to wait for someone else to protect me and my family. Too many people have ZERO respect for life, their own or the lives of others and it seems they do nor fear the consequences of their actions.
Last year two teen gang members got into a fight and one shot at the other, not because he brought a gun inside, but because he had a buddy toss it over a fence. This was even reported, so not sure how banning them fixes the problem.
@@Matthew_Loutner Gangs will always exist. But I agree they should have swept the entire neighborhood after that incident and forcefully apply the law. However, the fair grounds are massive. Yet I don’t think they patrol the likely blind spots. I’m sure the locals know where to sneak in, or smuggle things in.
@EndofCamelot When I was in high school the word gang was basically non-existent. It was used for a criminal gang, such as Al Capone and his gang or a gang of outlaws. There were no gangs of teenagers or young men.
@@Matthew_Loutner That’s really wonderful. Perhaps not in the area you grew up in or the news reports you saw. Maybe in those days they were called something else. However, even in New York in the 60s and 70s you had Irish gangs. A lot of “gangs” were organized by crime syndicates. Lucky Luciano and Myer Lansky were both in a gang in their youth. In Los Angels, gangs go as far back as the 1920s, which were more like “clubs” from certain neighborhoods. In New York, gangs were organized around labor and union scrapping. Perhaps those gangs were more disciplined and honored certain behavior. When drugs came into the equation everything and everyone changed. Perhaps the theory of the gang is lasting, but the people have changed its practice.
That's a big punishment asking a citizen to be responsible and act like a part of modern society. When they teach school children about their rights they never mention the responsibilities do they?

The US Constitution says "The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." If local governments have the right to impose gun laws, that means local governments can ignore higher authorities. By government, I mean ANY entity responsible for an area of ground or facility.

It's called Constitutional Carry. 2A shall NOT be infringed. What they're doing is absolutely unconstitutional.
Which is why Paxton threatened the lawsuit, bc it's against the law. It's a 2nd amendment sanctuary state by law.

They might want to focus more on not having gangs. Why do we need gangs?
