Sometimes i want to switch between both.
i got this since december last year . it sometimes gives problems with the 100 hz option . sometimes it wont do 100 hz and you get no image from yr pc after startup . having this problem twice now , fidling for a bit and reboot it a couple of times and it works again but its shit for the money. i got it on 90 hz for now as it will do that .

Can I reach 100Hz (OC) with a single GTX 1080 on Asus ROG PG348Q with ''very high'' or maximum details/resolution ?
For example, how many FPS can I reach playing with GTA V REDUX with high ''details'' ?
PS How much distant I have to stay from the monitor to watch it well?

I game on my PC and work on my mac so being able to have both plugged in without having to switch cables around would be a huge plus.
The input is capable of 60Hz so it would depend on the Macbook's output, which will vary depending on the exact model.

Or hack Firmware to 120hz. cause you know with actual Firmware it is only possible to overclock to 100hz. but what is if you can Change Firmware so that you can switch to 120hz. I am seriously considering this monitor. Recently, I sold my PG278Q and got a fairly good price, so my question, what about the rumoured QC issues on this monitor? Is the backlight bleed that bad? Lastly, is it possible to OC the monitor to 100 Hz from the GPU driver instead of the display options, as I hear the latter is much more unreliable than the former? Cheers for feedback.
Based on my experience of both the PG278Q and PG348Q, the latter will be a clear upgrade, regardless of potential backlight bleed. As you can see in my IPS vs TN video, the PG278Q (and most TN panels) have far worse IQ overall, and particularly when it comes to dark images. ua-cam.com/video/gf2r717BfvY/v-deo.html

Depends on your GPU too , you require beefy gpu to get 100 fps .

Keep in mind that this has 5 million pixels, 2½ times the ratio of a normal 1080 monitor, so it will be that much harder to drive. Consider upgrading your GPU too.

Yuno Gasai 1 ms literally makes no difference. If it does make a difference to you, you can still overclock it in the settings. I would recommend this over the acer though.

There is no difference between them, its a SAME LG panel, same specs, everything. 4ms is a marketing hoax, same as 5ms.
With its constant flickering in certain games, I can’t recommend it, unless you find it in a bargain bin.
