In the event you're thinking about this... stop thinking... DO IT. The recipe is incredible and well thought out. The end product is something you'll be proud to serve your guests.
Thank you for all the matcha recipes! My mother is a huge matcha fan and she recently bought me a pack from Japan, in hopes that I would add matcha items to my repertoire. Thanks for all the help :)
I tried it this morning :) I'm also a big fan of matcha^^ I put around 11/3 Tbsp of matcha powder. I don't know if it's because my matcha powder is old one. It was hard to incorporate in the custard and I find it's still light. I want darker matcha flavor so I'm thinking to try 2 Tbsp next time. hehe Thank you for this recipe!
Love all your recipes, and the videos are edited very nicely. Just wish we could see you eat the food you make, that IS the best part, right? :) I have to say I'm surprised there isn't a recipe for classic Japanese strawberry shortcake!
urs is still very pretty. mine deflated below the edge of the ramekin. also, 4 tbsp of sugar is the way too much.. ended up super sweet, but it would be okay if it comes with a cup of tea. however, it is better just 3 tbsp of sugars. thanks for the reply
Thank you for sharing this wonderful receipt, I've always wanted to do something with matcha but don't know how to, thanks to you I got a few ideas, again thanks a lot! ^-^ just subscribed as well, BTW do you use sweet Matcha Powder?
hello, i know one important thing about making soufflé but i want to make sure, do i have to light the oven only from the top?? please correct me if this information is wrong. Thank you for this gorgeous recipe.
I really like you video. Just wondering where i can get some green tea powder for baking? I look up on Amazon, but there are too many selections and too many different comments, some people say it's good and some people say it's bad. Can you give me some directions?
Actually when u cook your milk, don’t add it in right away, like it chill for a few minutes, otherwise you will have cooked eggs, so u can also just skip that if you want. Just a tip
The outakes make me laugh. I will try this receipe, love anything with matcha. I dont have ramekin so can I bake that on a white ceramic quiche pan 22cm (diameter) x 3.5cm (h), I bought from Muji. Will it overflow ? How long do I need to bake or how to know the souffle is cooked.
Can I turn this into a chocolate souffle by using cocoa powder instead of matcha powder? (Just trying to learn how to make them before using matcha powder)
hi,,,, i followed ur recipe carefully,,, but after15mins baking,, it looks pretty good from the outside,, but its wet inside,,,,then i baked for another 12 mins,,it becomes over baked and still wet... can u help me?
Tks namiko i tried doing then in medium size paper mold, but i m nt sure is it really cooked? It s wobbly throughout like eating a bowl of egg custard..? (Not sure how do i post a pic here to show u)
hi Namiko san, i have recently made a matcha cake with organic matcha powder i got from grocery stores. however the color of the cake was not green, instead, it was BROWN, and i did not taste any green tea from the cake. The taste of the cake is delicious, its moist, so it wasnt because of the temp or measurement, cuz i baked twice and the result were the same. did i use the wrong matcha powder? if for baking, what kinda matcha powder i should buy? Thank you.
OMG YES I DID USE BAKING SODA IN THE RECIPE! Thank you very much Namiko san, i think that could be one of the reason too! also I have looked into it after leaving my comment, and the websites say using ceremonial matcha powder can cause the cake turn brown as well. Im gonna look for the cooking grade matcha (i live in canada, the matcha u recommend does not ship to canada :\ ) and make two different cakes, one without baking powder but with same matcha powder i used last time, and the other with the cooking grade matcha powder, and see how they turn out! Thanks again, namiko san!, for your kindly information! i will update you once i get the result :D
We used to film differently. Our priority back then was mostly on blog posts. So we had to take pictures of this after the video, and didn't think about going back to filming. Now we do filming, shooting (for blog), and filming (eating scene). We have changed as we have more UA-cam viewers. :)
Well, just because she's japanese doesn't mean she has to input japan song as bgm right? Maybe she's into that kind of music, why did you even have to judge the music? If you don't like it you can just mute it right? :)
These souffles turned perfect Nami, wish I was there, you know I love sweets
In the event you're thinking about this... stop thinking... DO IT. The recipe is incredible and well thought out. The end product is something you'll be proud to serve your guests.

If I don't have whipping cream, would it be okay to replace it with milk?
Can I prepare the ingredients and then wait for half a day before putting them into the heat? Will there be any difference?
Actually when u cook your milk, don’t add it in right away, like it chill for a few minutes, otherwise you will have cooked eggs, so u can also just skip that if you want. Just a tip
What brand of Matcha powder do you suggest?
The outakes make me laugh. I will try this receipe, love anything with matcha. I dont have ramekin so can I bake that on a white ceramic quiche pan 22cm (diameter) x 3.5cm (h), I bought from Muji. Will it overflow ? How long do I need to bake or how to know the souffle is cooked.

It s wobbly throughout like eating a bowl of egg custard..? (Not sure how do i post a pic here to show u)

Noted and tks for your guidance...

I'm in diet program, but It such a waste if I don't try this. So, my diet should be restart again tomorrow, yeah tomorrow 😅
What would you do it you want a serving of 5?
for souffle's one serving= one egg and all of the other shit scaled down... so do the math
lol at the end, you're cute & funny!
I make this souffle but it half baked
😍😍
Looks like an interesting recipe but anytime I see a mixer involved, that's when I back out. They're too annoying to clean, lol.
Bopping while watching

We used to film differently. Our priority back then was mostly on blog posts. So we had to take pictures of this after the video, and didn't think about going back to filming. Now we do filming, shooting (for blog), and filming (eating scene). We have changed as we have more UA-cam viewers. :)

John Smith ... please explain your comment. But this time try to be civilised if you can.
Well, just because she's japanese doesn't mean she has to input japan song as bgm right? Maybe she's into that kind of music, why did you even have to judge the music? If you don't like it you can just mute it right? :)
