For the people that come across this comment I tell you if you are a lover of matcha products you must give this a try because I just did! It is so amazing just like the Starbucks one but better! Thank you so much for the recipe and + the tips on how to dissolve the matcha powder!!😀
That tip about stirring the matcha powder into the sugar to make it smooth is GOLD! I can now make the SMOOTHEST matcha lattes I've ever had. I just had to come back to t his video and thank you. I make these at home now and no longer go to the coffee shop to buy them.
After a long time I was finally able to get the vanilla bean pod, matcha powder and a good quality oat milk. Your recipe is really amazing, my latte came out even better than the one from Starbucks, thanks you very much for sharing this and the vanilla syrup recipe ☺️
i didnt have vanilla syrup so i used a smaller amount of vanilla extract and a little more water. this was my first matcha latte ever. it kinda tasted like chocolate nesquik i used to drink as a kid. it was great.
I tried this recipe, but unfortunately it was extremely sweet for me! However, since the comments really have positive reviews, I’ll make this recipe again in case I just did something wrong and maybe adjust the recipe 😁 No one asked, but I’ll share my recipe for this who don’t like super sweet matcha latte: Your choice of amount of matcha + 1/4 hot (not boiling) water 2 tsps vanilla syrup (Hanbit Cho’s recipe) 1 cup milk I don’t use ice because I don’t want it watered down. I found this ^ matcha latte recipe just right!
If you find mixing matcha powder with sugar too sweet, you can skip the sugar using a hand-held battery operated frother to mix the matcha powder with hot water. And voila - a smooth matcha mixture without sugar.
Matcha lattes are my favourite 😍 honestly Starbuck ones are a hit or miss.. I've even had ones with clumps of powder in them. I'll save this video for when I can get my hands on some good matcha powder and make my own at home yay!
A high quality grade matcha you don't need to add any type of sugar, I sometimes use it with oatly or make my own oat milk and it's so delicious and healthier. Thank you Mr. Hanbit Cho, you're the Best 🤗😍
I just made this, super good! I made the vanilla syrup to go with it, didn’t let it she for 3 days just used straight away and was still great! I used an electric frother with oat milk and it was great, 10/10!
Thank you so much! I bought matcha powder to make a matcha latte at home and first time it didn’t come out well but after following these instructions it came out perfect
I bought my vanilla beans and matcha powder a year ago because my daughter likes to make desserts. Now she moved out to college and I don’t know how to use these ingredients. I searched how to use vanilla beans and happened to see your channel. Wow, this matcha latte is Sooooo good, way better then coffee shop! Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE matcha lattes, and this looks so good! But, I’m trying to cut back on sugar, plus I wanna get the benefits of the matcha without supplementing it with sugar and dairy. Most days I substitute regular milk with oat milk and that’s usually enough for me to make it sweet without adding more sugar. This looks unbelievably yummy though, so I’ll probably make this one weekend. I’m sure it’ll be way better than what I get from Starbucks 😄
Nice and refreshing! Love the casual outfit you are wearing…very ‘barista-istic’ 😄 I normally do with almond milk or coconut milk, but using normal sugar. Will try this using vanilla syrup. I guess matcha goes well with mangoes too. We made mango matcha smoothie. It was delicious. Thanks Hanbit for another amazing recipe.
Subscribed! 👌 Thanks for the clear explanations and tips. I always wondered why my matcha frappes in the USA tasted really nice and had a smooth consistency, but the ones I've had in EU countries did not. This is SO much better!
I just discovered matcha 3 weeks ago and I cannot afford starbucks everyday so I need to make at home. Thank u for the effort explaining and teaching not just making matcha latte but sharing more facts.
Maybe I was a pastry chef in another life because somehow I intuitively always add fresh vanilla syrup to my matcha lattes! Cant wait to try your techniques.
I did it today and it was sooooooo good. Thank you so much for the recipe. Thay way vanilla makes everything comes together Ohhh! 👍👍👍 Thank you thank you thank you.
I JUST ran out of matcha powder and this conveniently shows up on my feed! 😩 PS - Costco is a great place to buy it from if you can’t find it locally like me. It comes in bulk too so it’s about 36oz for $50. I never knew about that trick with the sugar though, I always use a frother because it’s quick and easy.
ive been making this shit since ive seen this and it gets better. you really gotta mix that liquid and the better you mix it the better it tastes with the milk. his way is the only way to really enjoy matcha. i mixed mine with some strawberry milk, with less sugar, oh muh gahhhhh. if anyone watches this you gotta try his recipe before venturing out to other things. its so good as is. i have mine over ice and sip it slowly for a few hours.
If you want matcha that isnt clumpy the easiest thing to do is sift it and make sure whatever your mixing it in is completely dry so the powder doesnt stick to it. also use hot water, maybe not boiling but hot enough that you wouldn't wanna keep your finger in it. i also recommend using a bit more water than this to make it more liquidy. thats whats worked well for me.
This is amazing. I use this recipe EACH & EVERYTIME i wanted to make matcha latte. just a question Chef Cho, can i use the same recipe for Houjicha? It doesn't turn out as good as your matcha latte..hope you can teach us Houjicha latte next time!
Would u have a recipe on a warm matcha latte by any chance? (Barista style)? Just curious bc I sometimes crave a warm matcha latte but it's just never smooth and just unsatisfying to drink. Love this video btw! Will definitely try it out! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this recipe ! It really looks good, I will try this for sure. I just wanted to know how many days we can keep the matcha base in the fridge ?
I love Jeju Island, I wish I had known about the matcha when I was there. I also love matcha lattes and thanks to your excellent instructions I will be enjoying lots of lattes. I am wondering what the addition of a little zest from a Jeju tangerine would taste like.
