Prepping is a smart thing to do. There is something that Nobody talks about when it comes to survival when things get tough, real tough. That is your present health. If a person is basically not healthy, does not keep them selves in decent physical condition, they will have a very hard time surviving regardless of how much food and water they have. Things will be hard, physical work will be required. Unhealthy, weak, out of shape people will not survive.

There's also the opposite end of the spectrum where the lack of intelligence or general knowledge will be their death. It doesn't matter how healthy you are or how much weight you can lift if you're too much of a dumbass to think critically and be proactive instead of a reactionary clown who gets baited into ambushes. You've at least got to know when to let someone else do the thinking for you if you're going to be full send stupid and that's not to say that someone who is out of shape and has never seen combat will be an effective leader militarily because that simply cannot happen. It takes first hand experience to know when you can win and when to retreat and buy time.

      Isolated homesteads are death traps.
When the "smart" Romans saw what was happening in 4th-5th C they bugged out in extended family friendship groups to the famous "hill towns" of Tuscany & Umbria. Houses jammed atop hills ... arable land & pasture down below.
A big lot (1/2ac?) in a small town is modern day equivalent, imo.

i remember someone saying that the amount of food that you have stored, whether 2 months, 5, etc. Is that amount of months you have to figure out how to get more. People who have the land to grow food ought to have enough to get to the next harvest, which is usually around June. I am so happy on my 5.66 acres. It's the best life in the world, hanging out with animals and watching the miracle of growing food from a tiny seed to a huge plant that provides fruit or vegetables, PLUS enough seeds to plant for the next year and sometimes beyond. It's like that movie Far and Away, "You're nothin' without your land". Yes, hatching baby chicks and other poultry is sooo fun!

I’m four hours from new Orleans I own land I have ducks and chickens and a garden and fig trees and blueberries lots of blueberries and muscadine vines and a mulberry tree too.
I have two fireplaces in my house it gets cold but not for long maybe three months tops.
Wood is not my concern. I actually love the winter.
    It’s the heat that’s unbearable.
And if things become the way you are saying, I have no idea how I will survive.
The heat is so bad, here it actually kills people, if they are not kept cool.
Some guy said I need 25,000 to go solar, guess I won’t be doing that. I’ll probably not last to long.
My next door neighbor has a well, he’s a pedicure, but he’s nice to me and gives me all the water I want, anytime, so there’s that.
My back yard is hemps creek, it comes really close to flooding this time of the year, last year it came to back door step, we lost a lot of things, they floated away and quickly, the creek rise so fast writhing like an hour, it was incredible.
There’s a spring three miles down the road, I love that water, and next to my neighbors well, it all I drink.
But to be honest, without electricity, I really don’t think I would even like living at all really, I like lights red ones in particular, and music and movies and air conditioning, and all my gadgets..
I can’t afford solar Ken, 25 grand, not happening.
I don’t wanna die, as I’m enjoying being this character, and who knows what character I’ll be next, maybe a terrible villain, I wanna stay here, but I’m a realist, and I know out here in the forest where I live, if it does get bad, those without will surely show up here, and murder me and take everything, and there will nothing to do about it.
And sure lead, however they, the hungry ones can wait me out, and I can only shoot so many times and then I also have to sleep and they will know this. And probably those, that are without, if I had to guess will band up and forms clans and rape and pillage those that are most vulnerable.
And there’s a lot of creatures out here predators and coyotes and any number of animals who come here late at night to drink from the creek. Also directly across from me is about 509 cattle, if I go out in
Y porch I can hear the creatures howling and trying to kill and eat the cows. Sometimes they get one. Once all the wildlife and squirrels and raccoons are eaten by the humans, then it will get really bad.
I’ll admit I’m pretty worried Ken, but such is life I suppose, and btw, I love ur ducks, and ur shirt, and ur wisdom, and that way how u give it to us so freely..
    Be well, Ken..
    And thanks for everything….

Here are my thoughts, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on mine: simply put- why prepare? I’m 60. The world is turning to 💩
    Also female and living alone.
Let’s say I can last a couple of months feeding and protecting myself.
    What then?
If I had family, it might be different. But, honestly, I don’t see the point in my situation.
I’m not depressed. I’m just looking at my situation.
    Thoughts?

Those who'd sell us out, persecute us and lie, lie, lie ... Well, they understand that It's easier to defeat us and take down our country by instilling in us all how fruitless it is to plan for tomorrow.
I can be had, but I'm not easy.
Prepping gives you choices, even if only for a while.
They hope to destroy us without lifting a finger.

More like, why not prepare? Or, why give up until you have to , if ever ?
Prepare best you can just so, you don't have to depend on others.
Don't give up on finding others to plan with....and for.
So you can relax and enjoy the show (all the world's a stage etc.
So you can help others and still find joy , and a child's smile.
      So....Why Not ?😊
There's more reasons but it's 1st important to correct our perspective and attitude. (Btw,I felt more like you b4 and I'm talking to myself too.)
It ain't over till it's over ! Gotta play my Life's acting part ,to the end, I don't quit.... easy. Then we get to play a different character next game of life.
      Much Aloha from Maui.

I just will not go without a fight.
If I die because of my choices that’s one thing but having the government or someone else deciding it is not an option.
I have had a great life with many adventures so I regret very little.
If for no other reason you survive to make it difficult for them to harm others.

Always nice to come back to one of your videos. You apply sanity to "prepping", where most go overboard. You can't prepare for all scenarios, and you can't maintain a high level of attention and preparation all the time. Otherwise, you leave no space for joy and life. There needs to be a balance, and I think you've found it

Love the shirt. Thank you so much, Ken, for always bringing up practical preparedness. I find watching people wake up and start considering our current situation rather disturbing. I liked it better when they thought I was just nuts when I talked about the fragility of our food systems and everything else. Now that other people are opening their eyes, and freaking out, instead of being happy about it, I just don't even want to discuss it with them. Too much to say I guess.
Your gentle and thoughtful reminders to be prepared are commendable.
In 2020 when everyone was hearing "pestilence," I heard "famine." Even though I've thought about these dark times for four and a half decades, I didn't get serious about food until then. My adult sons just don't get it, even now. They give me crap about it. I just say, "You'll see."
I've learned alot from you. Some of your content is too complex for me to wrap my head around. I'm sure I'm not the only one! But I love you dearly. You have been a gift. I look forward to what you are talking and thinking about and want to share with us.

Ken! I am unable to get water rights AND the county refuses to rezone from Ag 20 to R5 essentially tying my hands as a farmer. The same county approved 2 high density developments of over 400 luxury homes less than a mile a way. I am slowly realizing that they have plans to get everyone on city water… they just took away grandfathered water rights of a local farmer (BiZi farms in Vancouver, WA). The farm was a local grower connecting urban communities to their food source 😢 ..the city is forcing them to purchase water and now they’re out of business and selling to another luxury developer catering to all the Cali transplants fleeing California politics. My feiqnce and I just recently had a cabin shed, with nothing but foam insulation, 4 Belgian malinois, a bag full of guns and 25 chicks(inside due to winter) and another 30 chickens outdoors. In NW Florida. We sold everything and bought 5 acres of pine forest..cleared a path and a small opening to temporarily place a bell tent my small wolf pup RV and the cabin shed(I just got rid of it) but while I waited to have my well, culvert, aortic and home dropped I had to live in the wolf like that for 9 months. The latter half I slept in the cabin but during the summer and fall we were in the tent/RV used the cabin for winter. Eventually got 25 more chicks in November so I moved them indoors..life was tough, from showering, getting water to shitting but was it great. I documented some of it even my living conditions.
Now I live in the middle of the woods, my driveway to my home is over 600ft alone! My nearest neighbor is over a mile away atm and town is about 20 miles(23 min) from my location..best moved I ever done. I placed home in the cut making it difficult to see me from the road. I have a proper bed again, running water, electricity and I’m slowing building my farm whilst I watch this.
I moved from the city to buying a homestead. I was born in Miami, Florida and I was there my entire life up to the age of 34. I’m now 35 expanding my preps from 1 years supply of stable foods and water to 2 years supply. Generator, solar power, battery banks. I’m prepared for I don’t know what I just remember growing up in the ghetto during Katrina knowing I don’t want to ever be like my mom..unprepared. I went from a bug out bag in 2018 to a homestead I own. I’m now more prepared mentally and strategically then ever before..and yes owning land is literally the best thing ever! From a city boy to a country boy in about a year 👌🏾👍🏾👌🏾

Denmark has already met the 2030 climate goals because new studies show the forests absorb much more CO2 than they thought and we emit less CO2 than they thought. Denmark has plans to build wind power for 20 million, the tech get much cheaper and better all the time, so we have to emit extra CO2 soon so the plants and forests can thrive.
the only doom I see is the low birthrate. The birthrate is much worse than they say, and the immigration is only short time solution because those countries will be the same in a generation
They have said we are overpopulated since the 60s or earlier, so they have fed people with misinformation about the climate and promoted the opposite of a healthy family. Everyone could have a homestead with a few chickens and grow their own food if people spread out on this plane, there is lots of room if people spread out.

I have a very abundant workshop, in fact I have two that I built! Tools galore, some battery, most mains electric powered. Two welding sets (MIG and stick) and various scraps of steel/alloy in case I need to make something - everything in the UK has skyrocketed in price, steel being one of the worst! I also have woodworking tools (Routers, saws etc) and paint spraying guns (Iwata 400) with a 250l compressor, various attachments for blowing up tyres and so on. A cement mixer and concreting stuff, loads of additives for mortars. It has taken a lifetime to collect them and now at 62 I am feeling that energy dropout in the afternoon, but we've just bought a second-hand caravan that needs some work - the shower tray is split, the toilet flush was absolutely disgusting and the day we got it home the power/charger decided to pack up. With a new one fitted and upgrades to LED lighting, sockets with USB slots in them and a new leisure battery for the motor mover I am going to fit (110Ah) it should make parking that little easier. In case the balloon does go up, we can tow our little home to a safer place and hunker down. The next thing is to purchase a 2kW sine wave inverter generator in case we have to live off grid for a while. I was thinking solar/ power pack but it just doesn't cut the mustard for living off grid over one week, they are gimmicks that fill a hole when needed but for real power, a generator is the way to go. You are correct about prepping and believe me I have been working to that end for a while now, seeing the way wars are progressing, I don't think we'll have long to wait before the balloon finally goes up, and then it will be every man for himself.

Most tools, btw, are Not ergonomically made for women, while squared housings of anything are the pits to clean...ugh, not getting started on kitchen & appliance designs being utterly ridiculous for Real Life.
    Any whos-its...rock your world, Sweetness...Love your brain-shares & creativities...Thanks & much Love. :)

The idiom precursors, warnings, risks and signs used to be: canaries in the coal mines, elephant in the room, acid test. Then there are the smoke and mirrors, clear as mud… Where are the whistle blowers, oracles, and sentinels?

Waste disposal, especially human waste, will be difficult & very unpleasant for most folks during SHTF.

Especially those electric flushers when the grid goes down.
Imagine the brilliant person who thought that requiring two systems are needed to do the job that the one (water) was doing just fine, for flush toilets.

Urban areas are a nightmare, rural areas no probs as you can construct a pit system.

best thing to do is to make a biogas digester system. makes and captures tons of free gas for cooking, generators, heat etc. there's truly no such thing as waste if you see it correctly.

Compost, decomposes pretty quick, you want to eat good and not be full of a bunch of meds and then grow your next batch of turds

If/when the pumps shut off, most urban and suburban people on "city sewer" will have a whole different problem when the shit stops flowing into the waste treatment plant and the entire system backs up. Being able to block your main sewer line may be imperative.

One suggestion on metals, if you have coins, you will be a target. Because where there's one a criminal assumes there is more. Buy scrap jewelry. Silver rings, bracelets, and necklaces. No one will think you are prepared if you take a ring off your fingers to trade.

Blessings be on you from the Most High
A Peace be with you from the UK
    You da Man
My Mentor who past away in 2020 said about you that you his go to Man for tec information,
I'm not that smart to know much about tec,
But I recognise wisdom, Truth and goodness, thus channel is the best one on UA-cam
    I've had more Peace
And I've got though the darkest time of my inner soul with your help, with listening to your kids
    Thank you so much
When I become rich I will donate some good money Bro, but for today all I have is this,
You have become like a Mentor to me, a friend a light in the darkness of the lack of good speech
    I'm rambling now so.

I'm in the 2% club. I am eating a zucchini I picked, grown in my garden. I even gave one away,, a cuc too. I share all I grow. BUT I CAN'T FEED YOU. I will give you seed, advice on growing and how to save seed. I love to sing. I love to read. I love to set people straight. Don't care about being popular. My paternal ancestry is Dutch. 500 yrs ago the Dutch conquered the Zuider Zee. Here again in Houston it's flooding again. Whoa the space city is drowning again. Taxation wo representation. How did the Dutch do it? Canals and windmills. Shovels and wind. Listening to the ball game while they promote "carbon" management, coke zero and mammograms. Yesh, I'll really miss this world. Not gonna fight. And I'm not gonna shut up. Hope I'm in the garden when they come for me. ✝️
