    This just happened to me the other day. We have a neighbor in our neighborhood who is straight crazy and his wife is a Karen. Too long to go in the details but he has beef with everybody in the neighborhood has already tried to start a fight with one neighbor, keeps threatening to sue everyone else, etc. I went to go check the mail (the mailboxes are on the street just to the side of his house, and there is an easement for everyone to access to those mailboxes). However, he started screaming at me telling me to get off his property. He came walking right up to me and got in my face. Very aggressive like. I’m 45, work out five days a week, ex college athlete, still very strong, and in very good shape, and have trained Jiu Jitsu for several years. He is about 53 and not in shape at all. I also have an extremely high net worth, and I did not want to have any liability. I simply deescalated the situation and walked away. Everybody wins, think twice before striking first. I already knew this guys was a total pussy and is always just flexing. It was not worth me getting sued just to keep my pride. I walked away and laughed about the whole thing. He’s a clown and not worth my hard earned millions.

      You make an excellent point. Our US court system is such that if he sues, even if you "win" in court, it could cost you a minimum tens of thousands in legal fees. With that in mind, there has to be a lot more at stake than just ego and hurt feelings. I would only lay hands on someone if I knew I was in imminent danger of significant physical harm.

    • @sincityguns3460
      @sincityguns3460 19 днів тому

      @@gordonlewis7570 Yep exactly! When he came walking up to me I noticed that he was wearing loose fitting basketball shorts and sandals. He had just come from his backyard doing yard work so I was comfortable assuming that he did not have a gun on him as it’s hard to carry in basketball shorts. It’s also tough to fight in sandals on the asphalt street. Both of those factors brought the threat level down in my opinion, aside from him being a fat clown on top of it. Best part is he tried to say I threatened to shoot him, etc but I was recording the whole thing with my phone in my pocket. He went around telling a ton of people in the neighborhood that I started screaming and cursing at his wife, threatening her etc. I let him tell his lies for weeks and then I simply sent the video to various people in the community. Can’t trust these type of people at all.

    He is preaching Real talk and stay humble people, but be ready. I'm 5'5" and dropped a 6' 8" person with ease, only because he thought it was going to be a cake eating contest. He went home with icing on his face. Know your surroundings, trust your gut, don't underestimate anyone, and never back down. You will regret not standing your ground. Then go back to being humble. Violence isn't the answer but is needed in some situations. Be blessed y'all.

    I have only seen one other martial arts video address the subject. And that person brought up the point that some who have acquired martial arts skills Never put those skills to use because they haven’t acquired the psychological mindset for going into self-defense mode proactively.

    First, I never let people get in my face.
    I can always tell by the way they are standing and that look in their eyes that they have bad intentions towards me.
    So, I will back up if they come forward, and tell them not to be coming at me.
    You never know if they have a knife or brass knuckles or a gun, so I pay attention to if they are reaching as well as other things.
    But, the person gets one warning after I instruct them not to be coming at me.
    Then I will let the person know that if they come at me, then I will feed it to them.
    I let them know that I am getting a little nervous because you are making me think that you want to sucker punch me, so stay where you are and talk if that is what you want to do.
    If you have other intentions it will turn out really bad for you.

    Thank you so much! I hope UA-cam or anybody don't get on you. We need you. Question - I was setting in my car in my little safe home town in safe niehbor hood waiting to give my son a ride. Here came a punk asking if I knew who he was. I said no .He proceded to tell me his name and how tuff he was and that he had a gun .I said oooh your really something.Which pissed him off. He swung at me through car window. I moved back he just grazed me. Then he hit my arm that was on the door. I drove off after trying to run him over but they had scattered (yes there had been at least two others in the dark) . Yes as you can see, I lost my temper. Anyway remember I was setting in my car. What should I of done? I wanted to hurt him so bad for swinging on me. I'm 72years old but in darn good shape.what should I do for a situation like that? Have a small gun below the door at all times? Remember I was setting down and he was against the door. Thank you very much.( Drove around the block but they were gone.

    They speak truth, that's how it is on the streets. I recommend that if you are interested in real world self defence, when it comes to handling a situation, or gaining a better understanding of when to act and when you shouldn't, this guy actually appears to know what he's talking about. Guys like him in m y life is how I lived through the streets. I didn't hear any BS, he cut straight to the chase, gave a very good example to go by, and he even brings some of the intensity of how those interactions feel like when they happen. These types of situations are completely different from what you'd expect to encounter from an MMA/other type of formal hand to hand combat instructor, I will definitely reiterate that as far as how these situation happen and how you should be thinking if it were to happen to you, This guy gives off authentic vibes, I could definitely feel some of those old sensations creeping back from when I was a teen and having to handle situations like this.

      I want to ask you, how where you able to turn your fearless aggression on when somebody unexpectedly acts aggressive towards you or attacks you?...I've been in many fights and I got badly hurt a few times because I'm naturally laid back and I couldn't match the aggression in a short period of time...I would only get into the killer mindset when I had time to hype myself up and increase rage...this has been a problem with my self defense my whole life. if I'm suprised I can't 100% get the job done because even though I'm highly trained my mind isn't in it so to speak.

    • @YouCantBringThemBack
      @YouCantBringThemBack 3 місяці тому

      @@dn8443 in my youth it was naturally there due to an abusive step father, now that i'm older i also don't have it, but also can tell that i haven't needed it in those situations (let them attack first) it sounds stupid, and scary, but keeping calm usually scares people off. if you ever need it though, just think off all the things that were taken from you (in your free time) when you feel that energy, remember the feeling, and if you ever NEED it, let it rip. That thought of losing everything you currently have, is what holds people back, so the take away from this is that, only use it when you're prepared to put everything on the line. Shouldn't be used, if you have something to lose.

But if the guy is already beefin to begin with you should never let him that close.

    Thank you, very great illustration of reality here. Anyone can teach technique, but there are many instructors who do not prepare their students well enough on how to use their technique, how to deal with real life situations. I trained under an Hawaiian instructor, and he was ruthless when dealing with me as he says Hawaii has some of the most street fight problems anywhere, but he's so nice any other time. He always says the meaner guy usually wins, learn how to get mean on the fly and keep control at the same time, think of long brawls not short 1 to 2 techniques to end anything.
