I don’t think I have ever actually exclaimed “YES!” when seeing a thumbnail for a video, other than when I saw this one posted up. Think it is beyond cool how you take on the challenges that almost everyone would give up on, and prove to be successful.
So did you get the backup camera working Trevor? I love the interior…totally worth it if you ask me, the amount of time you all spend in the truck traveling…you will get the value out of it. Now get your wife the couches she wanted lol!!!
Dude you literally did sooooooooooooo so so so much work paving the way for this and unlike most channels you showed shit when it didnt work instead of pretending like you just knew how to make it work and ended on it working and not the trial process.. Most of your friends on youtube just cut to the chase and do a cliff notes version.. Its why I watch your channel, you dont skimp or pretend you simply go.. I wana fucking have this shit on my truck.. lets do it.. you show the failures and the wins... Real car guy shit! Taylor ray too you 2 most underrated in this friend group.
I love that Jamie isn’t even phased by your truck shenanigans. My wife is the same way. Lol. Put your winch on a 2” receiver plate. Then you can remove it. You can also use it in your truck receiver, or on other trailers.
While the seats are out of the truck take a look at the Colourlock leather refinishing kits. I took some really worn seats and with a couple hours work made them look much better. I do suggest getting the neutral binder that doesn’t come with their kits to do a pass or two on anything that has that crackle area. It gives the rest of the fillers and dyes something to build on rather than just soaking in. They’re steering wheel kits also work well. Then you could sell them as almost new, put them in or keep them as spares. You can air brush or use a paint gun to do it with better results. It just body work for leather.
Being steady an have great hope for self tht something will work an that you succeed an it all fell together an finally ur mission iss completed anything possible when you keep your mind on it I'm sooo stoked that it all came together best great props on the project keep theses videos coming like this it's amazing 😊
Holy fdgeeeee 😵💫 I have a 2023 f450 single cab xlt and am hell bent on making it an all black platinum or was before I seen how much work you’ve had to do…. Hats off brother sheesh
this was the video that let me know we would have a kit for this very soon, as of a week ago the company FORDSYNC4 made a way to install this 12 inch screen in 2015-2020 F150s and F250s without dash swapping, its literally plug and play , there kit is $1700 rn but I give it another year and we will start seeing cheaper kits.
Perimeter is the outside measurement of something , parameter is the word you're looking for . Like the parameter for allowing your transmission to shift is based on the vehicle speed , the outside measurement of your shop is the perimeter , so the perimeter of a 60 by 40 shop is 200 feet .
ON THE TRAILER...... just move the winch to outside the deck frame there and make a pass through hole for winch cable, still get full use of winch but now have the whole deck to use
i bought a new XL in 2020 thinking id do something like this... im really glad to see you do this so i never do haha. im about the tesla style radio and some power steps and thats it... i like my rubber floors and vinyl seats. fuel costs now im not even putting bigger wheels on it geez
Looking at buying a XLT work truck with the engine I want and 4x4. This gives me confidence that I can retrofit higher trim levels to it! I'll probably wait a couple years for parts to come down in price though lol
For the winch just use a hitch adapter. You can install hitch receivers where ever and makes the winch versatile, use it on just your truck, back of trailer etc. Install some heavy duty connectors (I call them forklift battery disconnects) front and back of your truck (they make nice thick jumper cables that plug into them nowadays too) I use them to charge the trailer batteries too (instead of through the 7pin thin ass wire and directly to the truck batteries (real truck has 2)/ alternator (or alternators, 2 isn't necessary to be a real truck but many do because 2 130A alts are cheaper than making 1 special 250A Alt I guess 😂) I digress
You know bout the Hokey-cokey in the US?, I love this channel because you always take pride in the builds and do whatever it takes to get it done right ;).
Kudos to the efforts and determination! I'm really curious if you ended up doing any of the camera and IPMB work. I am contemplating adding the missing cameras to my 2022 F350. The hardest ones (cost wise) are the darn LH & RH Mirror cameras it doesnt seem like a lot of details available if I can just add to existing or I have to find the entire mirror setup which is super expensive. And then trying to ensure I have the right IPMB and all that jazz thus far I've physically installed the Center High Mount Camera and Front Emblem camera to go with the tailgate camera I had, but I haven't gone in to tools/software to try and activate. I only have FORScan and guessing I need to acquire the VCM II tool to continue this journey.
Is it worth it to install a 22 - into 2018 interior? Nooo!!! Was it sick too have it done regardless of the struggle, YES!!! You have to have balls in order to risk something like that and kill so much work hours, good job guys that’s insane!!!
Nice Information. Just watched this video. At the end of the video you mentioned looking forward to taking some long trips with this. Was wondering if you have already installed, or have thought about changing the 34 gallon tank out for a 60 gallon fuel tank. I have a 2021 F250 XLT that I changed out to 60 gallon, My wife and I just completed a 3 month cross country trip with pulling a 36 ft. 5th wheel trailer. The larger fuel tank helped out so much(more expensive to fill, but do it fewer times, so it's a wash). Anyway great video
Hi, I will purchase 2022 dashboard and will need guidance on the wires to wire to power up everything like you did. Is there a chance you can give me details on how many wires and which ones do I have to wire and where.
@motionautotv Its your time to shine again … just do the stuff ppl says is impossible like this one and ur channel will grow ..other youtubers are get repetitive and boring with their content
Can you please get me the information on what wires I have to put wher I already got 2022 platinum dash and ready to do upgrade. My truck is 2017 f250 platinum by default but I want to put me big screen I already upgraded the headlights and taillights all I need is new dash. Help me please
Fucking incredible man. Already impressive just with the screen and seats but adding push to start is one of those mods that everyone thinks is impossible.
Then you would just need the 2022 dash shell, with the 12in screen and climate control stuff. You would just use your harness, and hook up a few wires to power the volume knob, almost everything plugs in.
Dude that was an absolutely ton of work looks good. I do have a question that I believe you could answer for me how does that bezel with both air vents around the 12 inch screen come off on the 22 dash?
This was crazy. U said he did a how write up on it. Too bad u couldnt link it Or add it on this video. To make it more clear bc this was a crazy journey but the outcome os pretty sweet.
Yooo Travis ,, content idea .. What about a copart build series? Buy a car on copart and rebuild it ? Hellcat? Ctsv? Lamborghini? I’m not sure what your taste is but I feel like that build series would be badass
Hi there, good work! I was doing my Ford Edge, 8" to 12". Got my radio. The problem I have is the climate control. Flickers on off, even the temperature indicator flickers. Can you share anything.
I'm looking upgrading my xlt to platinum seats and steering wheels, and I'd like to have power steps and mirrors, would I just need the platinum harness and swap out my xlt?
Now see this is the motion auto stuff that brought me here. Swapping things and being unique with knowledge base instead of money
Your channel doesn’t get the credit it deserves! You do all your own work and make so badass stuff happen! Congratulations from a fellow Colorado man.
Trevor’s customs did it again ! 100% worth it . Its badass that your dad shows up to help in this missions 👍🏾
Looks great and your dedication is admirable
I love the quote 'no issues with it except nothing works'

Holy crap! You did it buddy! Such an insane amount of work and research, but such a great automotive lesson.
Great work man. Wish we had trucks like this in the UK!

Turned out really nice. Persistence payed off on this project for sure.
props to pops... my dad would take one look and try and do it to his own vehicle and then come back and try to get me to help him.
I love that Jamie isn’t even phased by your truck shenanigans. My wife is the same way. Lol. Put your winch on a 2” receiver plate. Then you can remove it. You can also use it in your truck receiver, or on other trailers.
This is the cool stuff that the subscribers love to see and continue to see the growth!

I love the budget friendly builds but I need a 50-100k Godzilla build or a S14 built 2jz refresh.
Push the merch is 👌 *Chef's kiss*
I'm not much of a Ford guy but it looks really good. Your abilities to do damn near anything is amazing.
Don’t forget those couches Trevor 😅 And superb work!

This is my favorite content. It reminds me of when you used to build the Saabs oem+

I'm glad your didn't give up either! Way Kool transformation
Best video in months Trevor, wish I got to see you at lz world tour Toronto!
Glad you've managed to build your ideal truck!

Tenacious Trevor.gets their in the end well done.
A lesson in ford interiors. Wow. I know more than i ever thought i would about ford interior components on this day 😂
Well done Trev, knew you could do it.
This was a great watch. Awesome project.

It looks really good I know it's been alot of work but it's worth it
This is what you excel in bro.
Top work and respect to the geezer that helped with the info.👍👍👍

You probably could have just swapped the lariat seat covers over to the platinum seat frames and still retained all the platinum features
You know bout the Hokey-cokey in the US?, I love this channel because you always take pride in the builds and do whatever it takes to get it done right ;).
Good work Trevor… please upgrade the Wheels on the Supra to the new konigs
I work in parts for a Ford dealer in Maine and I am so glad you aren't in and out of my dealer looking for parts
@motionautotv were you able to ever get the backup camera to work?

Been waiting for that video ❤ amazing content
Can you just swap the screen bezel and vent trim into a 2015-2020 f150/f250 dash? Assuming i'll just use a cheap andoid screen instead of sync.
well.....?
@motionautotv
Its your time to shine again … just do the stuff ppl says is impossible like this one and ur channel will grow ..other youtubers are get repetitive and boring with their content
I love these videos man keep at it
Soooo very worth the wait 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have a 2017 Lariat which has 8” screen. Does the 2022 12” screen just plugs up? Or I need the whole dash?
I was wondering the same thing
Knew that you wasn't going to give up on it Trevor does it again
Could this be done with the 15-20 f150 since it’s a similar dash
Can you please get me the information on what wires I have to put wher I already got 2022 platinum dash and ready to do upgrade. My truck is 2017 f250 platinum by default but I want to put me big screen I already upgraded the headlights and taillights all I need is new dash. Help me please

Trevor in the first 5 mins is the meme of crazy guy with board
Shoutout to that guy helping ya with it all
Was it all worth it though?
What about doing a screen swap on a lariat where it already has that harness, any ideas or help?
Then you would just need the 2022 dash shell, with the 12in screen and climate control stuff. You would just use your harness, and hook up a few wires to power the volume knob, almost everything plugs in.

Dude that was an absolutely ton of work looks good. I do have a question that I believe you could answer for me how does that bezel with both air vents around the 12 inch screen come off on the 22 dash?
This was crazy.
U said he did a how write up on it.
Too bad u couldnt link it
Or add it on this video.
To make it more clear bc this was a crazy journey but the outcome os pretty sweet.
I was also hoping to see the link or a write up tutorial or something but didn’t see it. Hoping he’ll update us on this.
Can I do this upgrade to my 2018 f 150? and where can I buy it
Can you please the bare bones list of what is needed hard parts wise.
Yooo Travis ,, content idea ..
What about a copart build series?
Buy a car on copart and rebuild it ?
Hellcat? Ctsv? Lamborghini? I’m not sure what your taste is but I feel like that build series would be badass
hell yeh! good work trev. did you get the cameras working?
I would have left the Platinum seats and purchased the Clyde’s leather restorer and it would have looked like new.
Trevor is one skilled mofo. Looks much better.
Can you swap the Upholstery from the nicer 22 seats and keep the lights in the footwells from the 18 seats?
Hi there, good work!
I was doing my Ford Edge, 8" to 12". Got my radio. The problem I have is the climate control. Flickers on off, even the temperature indicator flickers.
Can you share anything.
Do you need to switch a/c box ??? Also do you have to refill Freon after
Note to self after watching Trevor, just be happy with your xlt lol
this is way above average diy guy
I have a 2019 with the 360 cameras. Do you think it will be easier to switch it to that switch for me? I really like that bigger screen
Go trevy🔥🔥🔥 nice job… question what ever happened to lil green carin back corner?
How many new squeaks and rattles do you have? Great job! 🌴🌴🌴🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
awesome swap!
Turned out awesome
I have 2017 Lariat. What all I need besides new dash and big screen? Need Help anybody
How hard would it be to just do a push to start conversion?
Trevy's customs strikes again!
What about the cp4 injection pump?
Would it be hard to get platinum heated and massage seats to work with the new dash?
How did you remove the wiring harness also
I'm looking upgrading my xlt to platinum seats and steering wheels, and I'd like to have power steps and mirrors, would I just need the platinum harness and swap out my xlt?
Does the new oem sound system with the sub end up working for you?
That Ford IDS software is an absolute nightmare if it needs to be updated.
Can you share what did U do in programing apim?
Glad it was super easy.. JK you worked your tail off..hope you got rhe backup camera working.
This is exactly what I told you to do in the last video of the truck. 😊 And I didn’t even get a like. 😂😂😂
How did you get the seats to function 100%?
Does it stream UA-camTV okay? Mine started giving an error about a month ago.
