Just got my Sodastream Terra. Same problems as shown in this video. I had increase the water level (over the limit line marked on the Sodastream bottle) so the CO2 nozzle is submerge in the water. The book says to push the top button for one second... but it's more like two. Also, you'll have to push 2 to 5 times (for 2 seconds each time) to get the desired fizz effect.
Just add water, make sure the nozzle was dip in water so that Co2 mix in water, if co2 not mixed in water it will malfunction the button and stuck the bottle
i lost a whole new tank this way. was like huh, kinda ran through this one fast let me put a new one on. now i just unscrew the canister when im not using, until the ninja thirsti gets here.
It’s not the water level nor the co2 canister. The soda maker itself is faulty. Mine did that several times, so I tried it with a different Sodastream Fizzi I own. Same bottle of water, same co2 canister. Second one worked fine. Throwing away the first one as it’s no longer working. Also, they don’t sell the co2 canister twist models anymore. All Sodastream models now have “quick connect” cylinders, so you’ll have to buy a new machine and all new cylinders.
Not much use producing this video if you can’t provide any solutions yourself. And the replies are all varied and disagree with each other. It’s time that Sodastream produced a decent information site which addressed all the problems about their product. They show very little interest in their customers, and I for one, would never recommend buying a Sodastream to anyone, if they cannot provide more sound advice to their customers.
One thing is the nozzle isint touching the water second the reason why the button may be sticking is because it needs to be fixed also check your 02 tank maybe that’s why
Other than trying to find them now, because bed Bath and beyond is shut down. Never really had a problem with soda stream always had good luck, the new ninja carbonated device seems to many more steps, and where can you get the carbonated bottles now the bed bath, and beyond is shut down.
If anyone knows how to fix this, other than just replacing the co2.. let me know. I’ve had 2 of them do this now.. but I know it’s not my device because other canisters work just fine.
The water needs to be cold! Just leave it in the fridge for a few hours or in the freezer for 1. Cold water holds more carbonation Also let it sit in the machine for a like 10-30 sec before takin the bottle out of it then add flavor and cap it.
I had one before but lost it in our move, finally rebought one recently & really enjoy the sodastream energy syrup, it tastes similar to redbull. I definitely think it's worth it. You can get the syrups from their website or in store but you can also find knockoff/generic brand ones too for cheaper options

The only health risk for drinking carbonated *WATER* is that it can be a bladder irritant. It makes me have to pee so much, but that could be because i drink so much water now! No sweeteners or even artificial sweeteners are involved.
Yeah the device it’s self is very cheap plastic and the mechanism, aka 3d printed button/chassy is getting stuck. You get what you pay for, mine cost 50$ on sale. I just deal with it, not much of an issue just make sure you tap the top like you did to release the button. They have very nice ones on amazon for 200-300$ made of metal. my friend has one and it’s insane. He also has an 800$ espresso machine. I’ll take my 50$ sticky button. Whoever made this is genius, the plastic chassy is probably 5$ to make or less. The bottles are recycled and very cheap. And they sell it for 50-150, amazing profits.
Happened to me, I just screwed the gas bottle tighter. Gas bottles becoming unscrewed happens quite a lot with this model.
You don't twist with this model. You just insert at a tilt then put in bottle

This product was invented in the UK. As was carbonated (fizzy drinks)
The valve is in the top of the CO2 bottle itself. Maybe the valve in that particular CO2 bottle is bad or dirty or the bottle is not seated properly.

Screw the bottle in when you place it in for a few turns then lock it
There are zero threads where the bottle is grabbed… this will make zero difference

Gasket or sticky button. Buy a new one and stick the old one in the box and return it
