I didn't notice until reading your comment, thank you. I hate channels who do that. At the very worst they could use the same video and edit the new models and such. It's so misleading
Nice review, though shallow on engeneering details. The soda streams we have had in the past seem to break in the same place. The plastic lever that opens the canister valve fails at the fulcrum. This is an engeeneering flaw IMO. It would be nice to know details on materials used for construction of moving parts.
I have a Sodastream and I love it! It's not any cheaper than buying pop at the store, but it's just fun to use, and I can make my drink as strong or as weak as I want, and I can even mix flavours. One thing I was told before I got it... put the syrup in your glass, then add the carbon and mix, Don't put the syrup in the Sodastream carafe. They are messy to clean. Thankfully I learned this before I bought it! Sadly, Sodastream just discontinued some of the flavours I like. :( And now they're getting more expensive.
I have just been delivered the Aarke III, so I will see how it goes. I think my Copper one looks amazing. Question, are you to put the flavorings in the bottle, after you fizz up, or do the flavorings go directly into your glass?
I use sparkel its like 2039 qarbo but it breaks often and requires serious maintenence. It uses Sachets of baking soda and citric acid and takes a segnificant amout of time to make the beverage. Beverages come out very delicious after you gain experience making recipes. Breaks though. If you use it often enough it will break before warranty but you end up polluting the earth with junk appliance. Wonder if Twenty39 is more hardy
We had to replace our Sodastream after almost ten years. We loved it. This new model is shit. We go through canisters like crazy, it takes longer to fully carbonate, and it’s weak no matter how many times I hit the button. Yet again a company has a good product, wants more money they don’t deserve and lets the product quality suffer.
I purchased the Aarke carbonator machine with high hopes, but it has been a frustrating experience. The machine's O-rings keep getting damaged; I replaced them once, but it still leaks gas everywhere. Trying to find a solution online proved futile as there's little to no information available on how to fix these issues. When I contacted the company, they simply advised me to order spare O-rings and replace them again. This time, the O-ring is intact, but the machine leaks from another place. Without adequate support or resources, I'm at a loss on how to resolve this problem. I'm really fed up with the lack of durability and insufficient customer service. I cannot recommend the Aarke carbonator machine based on my experience.
Aark is clearly not easy to use like u stated.. 😅😂 cos need to twist n turn bottle to screw in. Plus need to tilt bellyup the whole thing to replace CO2 canister?? How is tat easy?
Extremely easy to replace the CO2 cannister, it's light in weight, no flapping parts when turned over and would only be an issue with someone without arms. I was amazed how easy it was once I got it. Not an issue.
I used to have a SodaStream. It's overpriced. As are all of the others. Just buy a 5lb CO2 cylinder, a pressure regulator, and a carbonation cap. You can swap 5lb CO2 cylinders at any welding supply shop at 1/3 the price of SodaStream cylinders.
Pretty bad review to be honest. You labeled the color options as a pro when there were more important things you could have talked about. I am not entirely sure that you understand what people *want* and *need* to hear when it comes to deciding on which soda maker(s) to buy. And I would definitely say no to the AARKE. You never explained why it was truly better than any of the others. Only possibility I can think of is the aesthetic appeal. Even then, still not sure how that means it’s better than a soda maker that’s half the price and works well enough
Stainless steel exterior, SS handle and interior with exception of internal regulator and short internal tubing, SodaStream models are breaking at pivot (pressure) points and the newer models are worse than older models, according to internet complaints. Don't see anybody complaining about the Aarke. Aarke 3 yeary warranty vs. 2 year limited warranty from plastic Soda Stream. Like a PreCor elliptical vs. the others, smooth as butter operation, with all the features but $3,000. Took the plunge over 15 years ago and it's a workhorse that needs no parts, maintenance and minor cleaning, so like any fine piece of equipment, buy it once and you've bought it for life.
After reading the 5 models, I stopped watching. If this review has the SodaStream, it left out the Drinkmate, then it’s a selective review, and not of all the popular models. The Aarke is nice and bougie. But functionally, it’s the same as the others. I can’t speak for the Aarke’s long term quality, which I’m sure is nice. But my comment is more toward the SodaStream, which is about the same price range as the Drinkmate. The Drinkmate is so much more-ummm, BETTER (delete “more) than the SodaStream. I own both. But after getting the Drinkmate, I felt it meets all the functions I want in a carbonator. Unless the other models, the “infuser” of the DM is detached from the unit, which makes it a lot easier to watch and keep clean. AND on top of that, it has a much better seal than the SodaStream. I lose more gas out of SS bottles than the DM, over a few hours. And plus, the DM single press infuses to much more carbonation into a liquid than the SS could. I could go on about this. But just the simple fact that the taste of the DM is so much more fizzy than the SS, it can just knock the SS off just based on that alone. But there is so much more to it.

Looks like they renamed it again from 2022 to 2023 lol
Crazy how in 2020 you were able to predict the best soda makers of 2022!
They change the title every year, so many channels do it, so stupid
2023 too!!
Crazy how you didn’t know you can change a title 😂

Thats what was turnoff for me for sodastream, I hate plastic junk that breaks
Now the hipster in me wants the isi sodamaker classic that looks like a traditional seltzer bottle
I have AARKE and I love it!
I appreciate the valuable time you took to share this information, useful as always.

Excellent! I already know what to buy for Christmas thanks to you
Do any of the other ones besides the Qarbo carbonate other liquids such as juice or tea?
