How could her family believe that she was the problem in the relationship? Why would they believe him and not their own daughter? Thanks to her own damn family she was made to feel like she was the one going crazy. How could they do that to her? I almost cried listening to her feel like she was so alone during all of this. The fact that she felt so much comfort coming from a total stranger, (the police officer) and not her own family breaks my heart. She felt, finally someone believes me and hears my cries for help. If I could give this young woman a big hug I would in a heartbeat. There is nothing worse than not having your own family believe you when you need them the most. Thank God for her amazing/supportive best friend. Sometimes real family aren't the one related to you. I pray that she and her children can finally lead a peaceful life without that monster. I pray that she can completely heal from this trauma. You are a beautiful, strong young lady and please don't ever allow anyone to make you doubt yourself ever again including your family.
Sounds like he was a bit narcissistic from the start. Gift bombing, controlling and confusing her from the beginning. After 40 years of marriage I finally realized that I was in the same situation. It’s not a good feeling.
Had me when he told the cops someone knocked at my apartment window and I heard him say my wife's name? Dang that was the stupidest thing I can imagine.
And her tone when she said that Morgan was treated like a princess, as if she shouldn't complain, or that he gave her too much. It almost makes me wonder if Mom thought that this wouldn't have happened if Morgan had stayed and put up with the abuse. Well, he didn't come up with his ways out of thin air.
The most significant things we found in your apartment was a collection of zip ties. - Zip ties? I don't have zip ties I know you don't. WE have them now. 💀
Wow he would have probably killed her the moment he realized she wasn’t going to come back to him. That’s terrifying. I’m so glad he’s locked up and so proud of this young lady.
I suspect what he means is that it is very clear that it is the ex-husband. Abusive...knows about the alarm...shows up oddly uust as it is over. While it is awful, it is also obvious. There is no "who done it" here. It is so dumb of him to think he could get away with it. @@jgator6694
As my father would say, “he looks like a cat trying to cover sh*t on a glass roof.” The zip ties fake cancer diagnosis and browser history? Yeah. Keep denying, keep digging.
Thanks for bringing the $$$ questions up, lol. I always want to know the who, what, when, where and why right up front without all the boo-hoo BS - how big is the house, how lavish is the lifestyle, who's paying for most of it, what both do for a living, how many years they've been married, etc. I like the older shows like Forensic Files and American Justice better; I just want the facts, Mam.
I knew it was her husband when "the attacker" mentioned her husband, disguised his voice. Can't believe he thought he'd get away with this. I knew she had to suspect him. She' been with him for years and should be completely familiar with his traits, movements, etc. Poor dear. So glad she got away from this monster!
Like most narcissists, he will never take the blame and therefore is of danger to society when he gets out, no matter how old he is. He won't learn anything in prison to change his attitude. He will continue to lie and manipulate.

Sherlock Holmes would struggle with this one, a 3 pipe problem. Dr Moriarity could take lessons from this criminal mastermind.
Detective: (when dude said he had no zip ties) says, “I know you don’t have them! We have them now!” 32:54 😂😂😂
😅😅😅🤪
Yeah, I laughed out loud at that too 😂
Yeah the other detective had to cover his face so he wouldn't show his laugh lol
@@jacquelynbujtas3632 😂
Lolol 😂
This dude is the most pathetic being. This is such a low thing to do.
He handed the police all the evidence they'd need on a silver platter 😂
This guy is an utter fool to think he was going to get away with this due to all the evidence obtained
addicted to watching 48Hours!
i knew the moment her ex-husband showed up right after the intruder left, he did it!
Zip ties? I don’t have any zip ties. I know ya don’t we have them now. Bahahahahaha
😂😂😂
He gaslit his ex-wife. He tried to gaslight the cops. I half wonder if he's convinced himself of his own lies.
You are a beautiful, strong young lady and please don't ever allow anyone to make you doubt yourself ever again including your family.
why are some men so nasty and jealous when a women's career is taking off?? how petty and small
Sounds like he was a bit narcissistic from the start.
Gift bombing, controlling and confusing her from the beginning.
After 40 years of marriage I finally realized that I was in the same situation. It’s not a good feeling.
He was always petty and small
Wouldn’t wear a mask and it gets him caught….lol
When "Anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-woke" goes wrong LMAO
Right? As a retail worker in a store that enforced wearing a mask and dealing with the insanity that ensued, this is extra sweet justice for me lol.
This guy was completely delusional
It’s not just your voice, Rod, that isn’t manly enough. It’s all of you.
Clearly a criminal genius. I'm surprised he didn't get away with it.
He's now qualified to go into politics.....
Had me when he told the cops someone knocked at my apartment window and I heard him say my wife's name? Dang that was the stupidest thing I can imagine.
After 5 minutes i can already tell its her ex husband 😂😂
Mother worried about him dying yet he tried to take someone else's life
And her tone when she said that Morgan was treated like a princess, as if she shouldn't complain, or that he gave her too much. It almost makes me wonder if Mom thought that this wouldn't have happened if Morgan had stayed and put up with the abuse. Well, he didn't come up with his ways out of thin air.
The entitlement of criminals is ridiculous. So, you want something, and decide to just take it? Sickening.
And then arrogantly command the police to do their job.
What a piece of crap. Lock em up and let him play his batman games on someone in there.
The most significant things we found in your apartment was a collection of zip ties.
- Zip ties? I don't have zip ties
I know you don't. WE have them now. 💀
Wow he would have probably killed her the moment he realized she wasn’t going to come back to him. That’s terrifying. I’m so glad he’s locked up and so proud of this young lady.
Strong woman, brave woman ❤
The problem with a plan that involves outsmarting your wife and detectives, is that you have to actually be smart.
"Rod" isn't a clown, he's the entire circus.
I'm blown away with what this guy did. I can't believe how stupid that was. Did he really think they wouldn't know?
Husband coming to the recuse so soon! There is no suspension here.
Her son beat and tortured the mother of her grandchildren, and she's crying about his conditions in prison?? Get over it.
She’s a super hero to me! I was a victim and I had help from family but I truly believed my end was coming.
Not the sharpest tool in the shed, in fact he wasnt even a tool, he was a Rod.
How can he play with a serious illness like cancer? When his brother passed due to leukemia 😖
He's a monster, pure evil. His ego to the max got him. In that police interview showed us everything. He's a narcissistic bum.
This is so stupid. It was obviously the ex-husband
It’s not stupid…it’s real life and it’s awful
I suspect what he means is that it is very clear that it is the ex-husband. Abusive...knows about the alarm...shows up oddly uust as it is over. While it is awful, it is also obvious. There is no "who done it" here. It is so dumb of him to think he could get away with it. @@jgator6694
I mean HE was stupid
🦇🦇🦇SHIVER🦇🦇ME🦇TIMBERS BATMAN !!!!!
WHERE'S SUPERMAN ????
Citizens don't want to think that monsters live amongst them.
I am not one of the people. I know there are monsters everywhere, in small towns and big cities.
There are millions of em in every part of the world. Men and women. Thats y i carry 24/7/365. Stay ready!
most citizens be either monsters or "nice" citizens dealing with inner monsters....be careful out there 🫂
That's why we watch 48hours.. to learn to distinguish between them
“How to change the sound of your voice”!! Wow, I’m speechless
What a absolute psychopath, that is not a man or a father , he deserves to be locked up for life , his mother is delusional
As my father would say, “he looks like a cat trying to cover sh*t on a glass roof.”
The zip ties fake cancer diagnosis and browser history? Yeah. Keep denying, keep digging.
What do these young people do for a living to get a nice house like that? That house is nowhere near an average house.
They said she had a very successful Interior Design business.
she worked really damn hard to provide for her family!
It's called a "job". Try logging off once in awhile...
Probably living beyond their means and credited up to the max. People are very good at portraying a champagne lifestyle on a cheap liquor budget
I knew the ex was the bad guy before he even showed up at her house but that confirmed it!
The Ex husband wanted to play a hero in his foolishness 😒
I knew it was her husband when "the attacker" mentioned her husband, disguised his voice. Can't believe he thought he'd get away with this. I knew she had to suspect him. She' been with him for years and should be completely familiar with his traits, movements, etc. Poor dear. So glad she got away from this monster!
Narcissism and gaslighting go hand in hand. It’s all about control
Scooby Doo villains are smarter than this man 😭
25 years? Stop giving monsters plea deals to make things easy for everyone, everyone but his next victim.
I thought 25 years was fair and 45 years of probation.😮
I actually thought 25 years was steep
Like most narcissists, he will never take the blame and therefore is of danger to society when he gets out, no matter how old he is. He won't learn anything in prison to change his attitude. He will continue to lie and manipulate.
Who knows 🤷🏽♀️ he may find God in prison, as everyone does.
She's too good for him. A mismatch from the very beginning.
How pathetic can you be to stoop so low.
"just recently divorced..." Bet, it's the ex-husband.
One of those rare episodes where no lives were lost. Refreshing.
Rod is not very smart😂😂
