Yumz, Love these ideas, & that they'll work with Rice, Noodles, as well as my favourite, Cous Cous. TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤️🙂🐶🎄
You can add some golden raisins, chopped dried apricots, or dried cranberries to the curry rice if you want. Then top off with some toasted or fried nuts like almonds, pinenuts, or pecans.
I used string pasta, which is just cut spaghetti and parboiled rice. I have a tried them and it worked great. I had snack bags and I used those for the seasonings. Thank you so much!
Love these combos! I have made some in the past using foil packets of seasoning or snack bags for the seasonings. Also, toasting the rice not only adds flavor, bit keeps the rice kernals seperate once cooked, not gummy.
I love making your rice a roni ones. Will add these to my supply. Would you ever consider showing us some of your pantry? Not your long term. But how you organize your short term working pantry?
I love rice a roni and near east rice mixes but had to stop eating them because of a low salt diet . I really miss them. I can’t wait to try these mixes. Thank you!
Thinking as a gift for an adventurer. I would like to add 1/4-1/2 cup freeze dried chicken. How much extra water is needed and do I need to extend cooking time?
I love their coffee!!! This time of year they usually have free T-shirts on their website when you buy a few bags of coffee.. I love free t-shirts too!! 😉
Okay. I've asked other so-called preppers. Nobody ever responds to my post. Could you please explain how ,when to use the oxygen abjorbers if you vacuum Seal, you don't need them right? How do you know when they're still working? How do you store them etc?
Hi!! I do not use oxygen absorbers when vacuum sealing, I use one or the other. Oxygen absorbers just remove the oxygen, not the rest of the air, so when they are in a mylar bags, it may suck in, and it may not. As long as it's sealed (jar or bag) it's good to go. When you vacuum seal, the same rule applies, as long as it's sealed its fine. I have only had jars come unsealed within the first 2 weeks, after that, I've never had an issue. I just reseal and they are fine. I have jars that are still sealed from a vacuum sealer since 2015. We store all our food in a pantry, cool, dark & dry. If using mylar bags, you want to store them in buckets or totes, so rodents don't have access to them.
Made a dozen of these rice mixes from your earlier video. They are so good! Question, please: hubs love Rice-a-Roni broccoli rice. Any idea how I can make my own? You rock!
Looks delicious. I was wondering about if you did use the minute rice, would it be the same measurements, 1 and a half cups? Also, I know you have an onion soup mix that you make yourself with beef! I would like to know if I could use chicken instead of the beef! And would I use the same ingredients and measurements of the other spices? I really wish I knew more about oxygen absorbers. Thanks for all you do
A legitimate question. Whenever you cook your rice you don't wash it to remove the arsenic first? Thank you for the idea to store seasonings separately.
Please don’t ever give up your channel. I love your videos
Snack size bags will be great for the seasonings
I was thinking the same thing.
Love having rice mixes on the shelf. Thank you.
You can buy the real small bags for the seasoning. I love rice. Thanks you showing us these great recipes 😊
You can up the game and make instant rice. When you make rice, make extra. Dehydrate the leftovers at 150°F for 5-8 hours.

Been doing this for over 30 years. Good for youngsters to learn.
These are all great! I have a suggestion. I believe the little snack bags will fit all the herbs and fit easily in the jar!
“Fideo” noodles are another substitute for orzo or you can break up angel hair pasta into 1 inch pieces so it’ll be like Rice-a-roni.

Thank you so much, Jinne! I love the Butter & Herb noodles from Knorr to make a fast tuna noodle casserole, but this will be better!
Love these combos! I have made some in the past using foil packets of seasoning or snack bags for the seasonings. Also, toasting the rice not only adds flavor, bit keeps the rice kernals seperate once cooked, not gummy.

Thinking as a gift for an adventurer. I would like to add 1/4-1/2 cup freeze dried chicken. How much extra water is needed and do I need to extend cooking time?
I would add the same amount of extra water as meat, and it will cook up in the same time. 💕🇺🇸

that looks so good all of them
Great sides! Thank you! Btw- what about using the snack bags for the seasonings? Is it instant rice?
Good video, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
Do you have to use baggies. Can we just mix this all together. I love all your recipes
you can skip the bag, but you can burn the seasonings if you are toasting the rice.
Made a dozen of these rice mixes from your earlier video. They are so good! Question, please: hubs love Rice-a-Roni broccoli rice. Any idea how I can make my own? You rock!
Use snack bags if not much spices amount
Awesome video

Where did you get that salt and pepper container?
I was thinking that too. So cute!

Thank you for the idea to store seasonings separately.
Id add the seasoning right to the rice, why use a bag???
She said she prefers to saute her rice before adding spices. That's the way I do it also.
Turn your volume up please
