Thank you! This is the routine I've been looking for! All these other girls talking about "don't use a hair brush" EXCUSE ME am I the only one who has hella fairy knots if I don't run a brush through my hair?!
That's because your hair is most fragile when it's wet: it's better to use a wide-toothed comb.
I love to use a mixed boar bristle and plastic bristle brush on wet hair, I don’t like the plastic only ones (especially the ones with a ball on the end). I think I got mine at whole foods but can’t remember, it has a bamboo handle.
Hailey Elianna boar bristles make my hair so poofy. Literally looks like that crazy pic of music producer Phil Spector in court many years ago. How does it not make your hair frizzy?
Lily_of_the_Forest I only brush when wet and I have no issues! My hair always has some frizz but i dont mind cause I’m a 2a/2b on a good day haha so the frizz adds volume

Mine too. I've got collar length wavy/curly hair. I diffuse it with leave-in conditioner, Tresemme Mousse', and curl cream. But it ends up looking like a mess.😔

@@jessiestephens3943 Try gel. I did what you did and my hair turned out like a mess too. I tried to put a little leave on conditioner and a lot of gel then diffused, wait for the cast to fully dry then break the cast. You will love the result. My hair type is 2b-2c.
I noticed that curl creams are usually better for type 3-4 curls.
That dryer is everything. Perfect diffuser. Best curls of my life.

Anna mine Looks also the same when it’s wet but it doesn’t matter what I am doing it never looks like this when it’s dry! When I was junger I had this hair without doing anything but I flatirond it to death 😅 than I cuttend it completely off and when it came back my curls were nearly gone and I do have now really flat kind of wavy something.... I dont even know how to call it 😓I’m now trying everything and I hope that I’ll get my curls back one day ( excuse my bad English 🤪)
Pauline Ebeling Ahh, that’s so annoying! Yeah, when I was younger my hair was naturally a lot curlier but blowdrying on high heat and high speed for years probably hasn’t helped 😬 Me too, I’m starting to use the right products and dry it properly 😊 Your english is good!

Your curls are so pretty, mine are like this in the front but then in the back top layers it’s always super straight. I have very short layered hair so I’m wondering if it just needs to grow more so it’s easier to scrunch up and see what I’m doing
my hair is long and only the top, front and sides are super curly but back is mostly straight, my hair is still transitioning, i learned that finger coiling when damp, helps train the hair to curl a certain way.

Love the result, will definitely buy the products and hope for the best. I've recently discovered that my hair has started to get a little wavy so I'm still learning how to handle it, but so far so good. I've always wanted wavy hair and I guess it has come true.😊😂
man I'm so frustrated. been committing to cgm for 3-4ish months now, my hair looks EXACTLY like yours when wet and am able to get those defined waves, but as soon as I dry it or it air dries it just flattens out. I used to have much wavier hair and now it's just ugly, flat, and stringy. I'm gonna try these products and see if they work for me.

Hi! I used to have the same problem, except when I dried the back would look like a rat's nest. It took me a long time to figure out that most of my results were due to poor application, not so much on the products. Following @curlicue_lu, @curlywhirlyred and @powerdomi helped me to figure out my curly hair, hope it helps!
alizorah same, literally like two weeks ago it was really wavy, and very nice and voluminous, but after that it just feels rough, gets knotted, and idk how to make it soft and wavy it feels like i can only have one or the other :(
oh and it also has been falling flat since then
Try plopping your hair in a cotton tshirt once you have your product in! By letting it dry at the top of your head it will create volume.

I’m so pleased to find a curl like mine at last, too many tutorials are for girls with thick, super full heads of hair, but nothing for us who need more volume and products that don’t weight down but help to keep it lifted! ☺️
Can I ask if your hair flattens over the day? Mine does, so I’ve recently removed coconut from my routine and it’s already helped immensely, I don’t want to add silicones either.

so, you blow dry your hair while it’s not completely dry? and you don’t scrunch out the gelcast? and do you use your dryer on heat? loved the video!💗

Pls tell me how you deal with your hair being bleached? I feel like most curly/wavy UA-camrs hair looks so healthy but it’s virgin hair whereas mine just looks dead from bleaching
My hair is not bleached 🤷🏼♀️
I did try protein but it made it much worse (think i overdid it) so I only use it once every two weeks or so now. 🙈
I think I was just missing so much moisture that my balance was off

I have the same texture when wet, but WAY thicker and longer. When my hair dries the ringlets are more like waves, and mostly just in the back. Should I cut it to try and have less weight?

Here in California where it’s usually 107F in summer ...might as well use a flat iron if I’m gonna use a hair dryer.

Omg I found someone with a hair type just like me finally! What do you classify your hair type?
I'd say 2c
The hair typing chart does not work, I've seen so many different girls who say they have 2c hair and they all have different curl patterns - even when excluding hair density/thickness. I would just say she has fine, low density, loose spirals. If you do ensist on curl typing, then I'd say she is a 3a, since she has spirals and not large waves type 2.
@@fia8159 wow love your insight on this. I have to agree. I'm constantly confused my hair typing. Sometimes I think I'm a 2c, other times a 3a, and I have tighter coils in random places so that's more like 3b. But yea. I guess I'm wavy/curly. I'm sure my hair type will evolve more too because I've been straightening for years and am just now only a month no heat to it

I recently realized I have curly hair. How many curly hair products should I use? Right now I am using Hairitage by Mindy McKnight. Should I use another hair creme/product in addition to this one? Should I switch to a different one? I have noticed that my curls look "confused" sometimes (because my hair is going everywhere). I have also noticed that the lower layers (the ones closer to the back of my neck) of my hair fall flat. Is there a reason for that?
Also, right now I have short hair. By short I mean my hair goes just below my earlobe . But I have noticed it goes into a mixture between tight and loose ringlets. I think it falls somewhere in between 2b/2c and 3a

I have curly/wavy 2c hair naturally. This will not work on straight hair, but of course you can try to see if you can get some texture in your hair🫶

Beautiful hair! I did want to point out that the Schwarzkopf gel is not curly girl method friendly- it contains dimethicone. But hell I'm considering it after seeing your results!
Courtney Carson it is! There are two versions. The one sold in The Netherlands is without “bad” ingredients, the American version does contains isopropyl alcohol. It does containt “PEG-12” dimethicone which is soluble with water because of the PEG-12 🤗

November depends on your hairtype but I would say the Osis gel, it’s a oil and gel in one. If your curls are more tight I think a leave in or curl cream is enough!

How can her hair be that curly after she used a brush?😮 when they were wet they looked streight, I really wondered how curly they got only through „crunching“ them
Curly hair always looks less curly while wet. Water weighs down curls and waves.
Without diffusing my hair would look exactly the same but with less volume at the roots. A diffuser isn’t a magical curling wand or anything, it’s just a tool to distribute the airflow better for less frizz and more volume👌
