I bought a pair of the Tempos after seeing your review on the Alphaflys and reading the comments saying that the Alphaflys have no outsole and not for everyday use. Thinking that the Tempos would be the more durable everyday version of the alphaflys. soft and comfortable and innovative . quite possibly the best shoes in the world. Instead, the Tempos turned out to be a complete torture. Extremely uncomfortable and ended up with multiple blisters with just few minutes of walk. It does have the springy trampoline sensation at the forefoot, but the flyknit upper feels like a plastic window screen, really stiff. and the oddly small hard plastic heel cup digs into the heels. very uncomfortable to wear. I run about 60-80 miles monthly (all different speeds, slow jogging to gas sprints on field) these shoes make me feel like i’m flying when i’m hitting sprinting or tempo run speeds. hit my mile pr in these last week. the energy return is INSANE. i will say there are wayyyy more comfortable options for jogging and marathon paced running. i COULD bring these out for a 5+ mile jog and be fine, but i know id be more comfortable in some other options.
Snug fit but perfect shoes for casual wear in medium thin socks - for commuting to work or weekend walks. I haven’t run in them. However, it has a product quality issue as they tend to come apart at the sides near the air-bubble very early in. Yet, I’d buy them again because NIKE stands by them 100%.
Greetings hes! Love your content! Which would you pick for every day use, ultraboost 21, air zoom tempo next% , alpha fly next % or air zoom tempo flyease?
I started running this summer because I was slowly getting chubby. I used to run before but I stopped because my knees were hurting, so I bought some Adidas Ultraboost, problem solved ( maybe any shoe could have fixed it). I love them. I bought these because I like to switch shoes. For real, no placebo effect, but I ran a 5k a whole minute faster with these bad boys. I never wore something like that but the Tempos just seem to push me forward.
if you have feet problems, it is not a good shoes as much shoes outside... i have a nice arc, no problems on my feet at all and i can WALK on this up to 10 miles with no problem. I used them for walking at work and i have no problems even since day one also I use them for working out! the only thing we have to say is that you have to use sock a little bit high on the back because the mesh can mess with you! I got 2 pairs of this ones.
Hes you said ur chasing the dream of finding that new ultraboost, but haven’t you already found that in the NB 1080v10 and other shoes, or is something missing from those
Yes those are amazing and I’m still looking and have tried dozens of excellent pairs and a few more on the way. I just like that feeling of finding a comfy sneaker
I just purchased and went for a run with the Nike Air Zoom Tempo NEXT% FlyEase and absolutely love them and looking forward to my next run. For a more narrow foot go true to size.
Zoom Tempo for faster paced run: Amazing, for Everyday wear? No: the 2 zoom pods at the forefoot make it unstable(towards sideways at the front of the foot) for slow paced walk or standing.
Jack Rabbit huh? Used to work for them 🙄🍾So yeah....anyway, just piggybacking on the comment below, the Zoom tempo next % is a collaboration of the Pegasus turbo and the Zoom fly FK. And as you accurately put it, the little daily training brother to the Alphafly next%. Although the Zoom tempo next is sort of durable for everyday use, I would still recommend these more to an avid runner who may have alternate training shoes to switch up to. The Pegasus 37 is a great everyday workhorse to run in but because the Zoom tempo would be still lighter and breakdown quicker than the Pegasus 37, in order to prolong the lifespan and mileage of the Zoom tempo I only used them for faster day runs. Good review.
Thanks for the insight! Would you be able to tell me anything about the next vomeros? From leaked images I saw a while back, the heal will feature zoomx like the tempo next% and the forefoot will be more like the Pegasus 37 forefoot. I’m very curious as to what the rest of the midsole is made of. If it’s react then I’ll probably purchase more than one pair of the vomero 15s.
Running shoes are for running. The only running shoe that Nike makes that can be worn in every situation is a Pegasus. As a long distance runner, I highly recommend not wearing a performance shoe for casual use as you will probably hurt yourself.
Really like that you review these from a casual perspective, would you still go with turbo 2 for daily use/8 hours on your feet for a job? I thought this would be the one but you sound like you prefer the turbo 1/turbo 2 more still.
Hes Kicks thanks for the response! My work rotation right now is definitely in part influenced by you! When not breaking out heat I’m rotating between Pegasus 37, zoom type, pair of 350v2’s, and recently picked up that triple black Ultraboost 1.0’s. Think I’m going to add a pair of Turbo’s! Maybe the v1 since it has more cushioning on the ankle, I love that about the Ultraboost. Keep being the class act that you are! :) Also always chasing that next comfort on feet experience!
I dig my pair, but in my review, I talked about the sock liner as a major fail. The sock liner is STUPID! It’s paper thin and they made it out of “regrind” ZoomX foam chunks (yes, chunks) and it’s glued down. I only found this out because my insole was improperly positioned and I needed to shift it... even being careful, it shredded with the slightest move.

How do these feel under feet compared to the zoom type? Aren't they very similar? I have those, the tech made me curious... i only wish the upper was better on the zoom type
I have popped both pockets on shoes that have that air zoom unit on it. if your a heavier athlete I don't recommend shoes with this type of cushioning at all because once it pops the entire shoe is useless. I used my shoes for barely 2 months when it popped and i was super pissed.

These are the bounciest shoes I have ever put on. Upper is super tight on my fat ankles, but I feel like going up half a size would give me too much toe box space. I put them on and felt like I should be running. The heel is soooo squishy and I could really feel zoom pod response. I haven't gotten the chance to take them for a run yet but, I'm scared my heel is going to get wrecked because of the structure of the upper.

Overkill for Everyday wear. You can get pretty much the same tech in cheaper shoes. Even the Pegasus 38 would be overkill for an "everday/lifestyle wear". Even if price was not a concern.
