HALLELUJAH; TUCKER CARLSON WAS ‘MUTUALLY’ FIRED!!!!! P.0.S. ;D
It's called the Faux Propaganda Channel NOT "Fox News". Also, "Fox and Friends" should be Faux and Fiends. The word "faux" means false in the French language.
The funniest thing was Fox said Tucker’s last show was Friday. On that episode Tucker talked about coming back on Monday. I wonder when and how they told him.
@@Jrv661 Tucker Carlson ended his last show on Friday saying that he'd be back on Monday.
Probably he was fired in exchange for not having to apologize on air.
As an IT specialist, the "overwhelm the servers" bit makes me laugh so hard. Voting is not exactly a large amount of data by modern standard.
Also an it person. I chuckled too at that. XD
Personally I don't like the two party system but it certainly simplifies the counting process to only two real options to be registered on computers 😅
@@TR4R this makes no sense. In Brazil we have dozens of political parties (way more than it is really needed), and a lot of times we have multiple elections happening on the same day, with hundreds of different candidates. You vote for all those positions at the same time, and in the same machine. The counting for all the votes begins at 5pm, and is finished before midnight, with a insignificant amout of counting errors. Trust me, a computer is capable of counting more than 2 different types of votes xD
Bro.
voting machines always have issues.
and Biden's machines had no issues on his year?
What sorcery caused no fraud. There is always fraud every year.
You trump hatters are a freaking cult

I'm sure the tech savvy Fox News audience were skeptical about that part.
They took the loss because anything they would have been forced to say under oath would have made their situation 100 times worse.
I do not believe that. Fox could say in court that they’re dirty liars and their viewers wouldn’t care.
What they were afraid of was their Fox viewers watching the trial without Fox telling them what to think.
That and the fact that they knew the likelihood of their being found guilty was near-guaranteed, and the damage amount may have been twice what the settlement amount.
you see, tucker being fired is a good thing because portland and california and new york and chicagos poverty and crime is much better than decency because my parents told me so!

Dominion's unfortunate legal victory's purpose was to consolidate their position as an unquestioned voting system
Despite all that, BlackRock have ownership of both Fox and Dominion. They literally just sued themselves. The same people who own Fox, also own the other MSM. It's clear Fox was forced to play along
This is conjecture: but I'm certain this whole scenario was intended to defame Fox and fire the one who went after his own news network

I'm still sad that Fox News wasn't forced to air a retraction and apologize.
I think smartmatic wants one.

As crazy as this sounds, it almost feels like the nearly $800 million wasn't enough. The impact the widespread misinformation had on our society has been catastrophic and we will see this for years to come.
Yeah, they have trumpist even in other countries.
True, but the only plaintiffs here were Dominion. The payout to them is huge, easily what they would likely have been awarded at trial and without the need to fight appeals and then fight for collection.
Smartmatic filed a new lawsuit the same day as the settlement. I believe they want $2billion or so(fact check me). Smartmatic has already said they aren't gonna settle but who knows.
This is something like a third of what Murdock personally paid to his three ex-wives. I'm comforted by Alex Jones and InfoWars being on the hook for twice this.

I imagine it was something like this
I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to defend that as a "you can't prove that it didn't come to them in a vision" sort of thing and people would buy that as a legitimate train of thought.
As it turns out, reality often is very Non-Credible
I actually worked an election last year in my county and i can confidently opine that conservatives do not trust their own government. We only had repesentatives from the RNC come to "oversee" how we were working. I had one lady try to tell me how the ballot she got in the mail was different than the one we had at the polls. I said "Yes, it is. This is a provisional ballot which includes all nominees. You get a ballot that corresponds with your chosen political party sent to you, but the ones we have here are for people who are either registering to vote for the first time, they moved, or changed their name...." In general, truth is bad for most companies. That's why they spend so much on public relations and advertisement.
Oh, but Fox has successfully defended itself in court more than once on the principle that no reasonable person could accept what they say as factual news and not fabulist entertainment. @@QuietHusband guys stop trying to start fights about sides. if we can't understand the powers behind work together and want us trying to start arguments over "sides" then they win. we can only beat the system if we have love, compassion and understanding for each other. This goes for everyone on either "side" we need to hold back from trying to bring up the opposite side as a reply. Or at least do it without being condisending. Like instead of "And You think ___ is better?" maybe find something like "Your'e right they are corrupt kids and the other network are right there with them in the kiddo pool lol." try and make each other smile or laugh instead of trying to say something that can possibly make someone get upset. We can only make it through all of this by coming together. Sometimes that means we have to hold back saying something like that and be the bigger person to get the outcome we all want
I'm not surprised the case settled, but I really wish it went to trial for precedence and additional public visibility assuming Fox was found liable.
You do realize, by Fox being held accountable for this, you can be held accountable too? You're basically destroying your own freedom, while praising Fox News for losing theirs.
Hopefully smartmatic won't settle and I believe they want a retraction and a public apology. All hope isn't lost yet. They need to be dragged in court.
Fox wasn't doing anything that news outlets don't regularly do, but Fox picked a racey topic and an organization that has the money to take it to court. CNN has definitely done their share of slanderous activity.
Smartmatic is going to trial, too. But the E Jean Carroll/Trump rape case starts tomorrow!

"The press must remain free to cover both sides..." Yeah, the 'sides' aren't supposed to be the true and the false.
Well said!
The whole "both sides" thing has been used to push right wing rhetoric, no matter how patently false it is (like the "disagreement" over climate change)
A, probably incorrect, quote about journalism I heard a while back goes something like this: "A journalist interviews two people. One person says it's rainy, the other says it's sunny. The reporter's job is not to report both quotes, it's to look out the window and check for himself."
Theyre also supposed to remain unbiased and not take any sides but that didnt last long either
Yes... Freedom of the Press protects Yellow Journalism, too. It's not a victory. It's a defeat. They've stripped you of your rights, when they stripped Fox News of theirs.
I wish they'd gone to trial. I think its very important in circumstances like this to make it more than abundantly clear how much a company screwed up, and if that means humiliation in front of a jury then so be it.
At least they set a precient case to sue and treaten fox news. And as sai, at th end of the say they were in or money and recovering credibility, not justice.
Eh Fox, CNN, MSNBC all the media is the same with a different set of listeners. They all lie and keep their audiences trapped in a vacuum.
Smartmatic is still going after them, and Dominion’s Lawyers did 95% of the work for them.
The problem with jury trial is a bad faith actor, or an arrogant Dunning-Kruger victim, who we know already contaminate the system with biases.
That’s what Dominion had to seriously consider. Someone, who no matter the overwhelming evidence, would never change from their hidden agenda. One conspiracy believer on the juries, and it could have added decades and Tens Of Millions in costs to Dominion.
@@cjwrench07 That's a good point. A jury could easily have a Fox News loyalist on board who would dismiss any and all evidence for the sake of simply supporting their favorite sensational propaganda outlet.
I thought that too, before watching this. As he says, "you never know what juries will do." And Americans seem to have a first-grade level understanding the 1st Amendment (or the 2nd for that matter). They think it means you can literally say anything, which is not true.
In my car a couple of weeks ago I heard a caller to a right wing radio show who was furious that the judge at Trump's arraignment had told him to be quiet, "in violation of his 1st Amendment rights." Like a 5-minute rant on how all Americans have "free speech" even in a courtroom, and that the judge was basically being a dictator. (Of course the host agreed with him!) Just out of curiosity, do you honestly think CNN is better? Fox is just as bad as CNN, MSNBC etc.
What's scary is that now Tucker is gone those idiots are fleeing to even worse news sites for their pathetic fix. It's sad people only look for information that they want
It is not that hard to believe. If you can sit in a class at your local school. See if any students challenge, or question, their teacher. It is unlikely that you will. Our education system destroys children's naturally inquisitive nature and turns them into mind numb zombies who accept the word of authority. There is no desire to make them skeptical since that is not in the best interest of government or corporate leaders. They need followers so that is what they work to create.
They work up to the ridiculous stuff by incrementally saying things that start reasonable sounding but get progressively more out of touch, and use a lot of manipulation techniques such as repeating things so that people that actually watch it are slowly accustomed to their way of thinking and have no time to think about points before being led to the next one.
They use a lot of psychological tricks and they have a lot of different shows which act as feeder channels so that they can move people up the crazy ladder.
...that's how propaganda works, just look at russia now, the third reich, the sovyet union etc etc etc

WHY DID THEY SETTLE.
I would've donated money to Dominion to watch the trial. The show got cancelled before its first season. 😣
Because theyd be stupid not to. If someone offers you 800 million to shut up and go away you take it.
He explains it. There's no guarantee with any jury AND defamation suits can be lost on appeals even if they win the jury. I don't think their strategy was to win anyway, it looks like they wanted to hit hard and let other companies finish them off
It is the easiest way to get fox to admit guilt, and it is also a good way to get some cash out of it.
Their company only worth 100 million dollars, imagine getting CASH of 8x of what your company is worth, it’s guaranteed easy fast money. Furthermore, they get no benefit to see fox getting humiliated. Thankfully though smartmatic has claimed that if it wants to settle with fox, it will only accept it “only if Fox News makes a “full retraction” and “apology” and pays out more than the $787m settlement it has agreed to pay Dominion”
I just wanted some admission from Fox that they lied or just something to keep them from doing this again.
But I like irony of Carlson saying that they needed to fire the Fact Checker and then Carlson gets fired
They have no one to blame but themselves for losing viewers. Decades of cultivating an audience indifferent to facts, who only want to hear what reinforces their existing views, and who think they are at war with everybody outside their political tribe, means they cannot hold on to authority when they contradict those narratives, even when they're telling the truth. The audience only trusts Fox as long as they are stroking their egos and giving them those rage-adrenaline hits they're now addicted to. There are plenty of other people willing to do that these days.
With very little credibility as a news organisation outside the "Conservative" space they will struggle to win new converts to their brand. They and their far-right competition are now locked in a struggle for a limited audience, and I believe, unfortunately, that this will lead to a race to the bottom between those media groups, with each trying to outdo each other to see who can be more extremist. I know Murdoch has no qualms about engaging in such race.

And now Tucker got FIRED!
My only question in all of this is: why the hell was Trump himself not included in this lawsuit? He was demonstrated to have been the biggest purveyor of these false conspiracy theories.
Evidently not. Trump mostly claimed the election was stolen in vague terms, didn’t name names, and let his lawyers take any hits that came from being wrong.
