I was a porn addict since I was 10 years old. Decades of addiction later and I’m free of that bondage. Pardon the pun! I went through hell as I was using drugs alongside viewing porn so could binge for 24 hours straight. I lost 2 wives and several jobs due to my addiction. I got clean with the use of psychedelics, intense psychosexual therapy and going to SAA meetings. Trying to quit watching porn has been the hardest battle I’ve ever had to fight. I still relapse every now and then. But I learn so much from each one. I am still in awe that the most potent drug I’ve ever been hooked on is free to literally anyone with an internet connection.
This presentation is so thorough and so relevant right now. I can relate to all of it. Thank you for bringing your light into this world. And good luck to anyone out there struggling in secret with this.
Welcome. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you, peace, health, and, happiness.
I've been addicted to sex and porn since that age too. It's a shame our legal system, psychological industry and American society in general just want to use shame, humiliation and the threat of legal action as treatment.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Jesus will help you
Thanks for beginning with a compassionate overview of why people watch porn. Many of us go there because we fantasise about love, affection, touch and acceptance and are too inhibited by our fears to negotiate for those things in real life. Porn became an almost 30yr addiction for me because of this.
You’re welcome. I am sorry you are struggling with porn addiction and I appreciate you watching the video.

That 36% of men using porn in the past week seems VERY low. PsychologyToday is saying it's closer to 80%.

Welcome back! I appreciate you watching videos on the channel
Thanks for this. As I begin dating again after leaving a porn addict 4 years ago, I ask upfront about drug and alcohol use. This talk is a wake-up call to include porn in the conversation.

Yes, 👍 anything can become a addiction if done compulsively
IF PORN. HELPS YOU WITH YOUR MASTERBATION I GUESS IT CAN BE A TOOL 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 TO USE IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP
I recently quit for about a month and it felt amazing and honestly like the whole addiction "never happened" I was just living life and I started getting temptations and I remember willingly choosing to do it because I thought I could just kick the habit again. It's funny because I've quit so many things, cigarettes, THC, alcohol, caffeine so if there's anything I have experience in, it's knowing what it feels like to quit an addiction. Especially the common addict trap of "rewarding" myself with the thing I just quit (ie having a cigarette for not smoking for 2 weeks)
Then another trick I use to justify impulsive behavior is saying "relapse is part of recovery" and while that is true overall, it's a tool to lie to myself
One thing I'm realizing is I get caught up on separate addictions , and always quitting this or that but there has to be something deeper. Why am I not satisfied with just how I feel? Why do I always need something compulsive to fulfill me? Coffee? Cigarettes? P*rn? Alcohol?
I think there is a direct link to the "inner child" concept. Because despite my adult age I often realize I am a scared child who is scared of being alone, inside, that is...
Somewhere along the line I got stuck in an adolescent mind and I have to approach adulthood like it's a field of education to study and examine
Thank you for watching the video and for sharing. Yes, the concept of addiction is indeed linked to the concept of the inner child.
I was objectified by a porn addicted man I was involved with for years, and I had no idea why he couldn't see me as a person. Honestly, it took so long to recover from the distortion and shame I experienced during that relationship. I allowed him to take so much of what should have been sacred to me; my sexual energy and my spirit along with it. I kind of hate him for that. Peace.
Sorry to hear about what you went through. Thanks for watching! Wishing you peace, health, and, happiness.
I feel trapped… I’m in the same boat
Sorry to read about your harmful experience. I hope you can deal with your experience to overcome any harmful collateral damage that may have an impact on future relationship(s). I hope you are doing ok.
what was her payback for engaging in the relationship for YEARS?
Her lack of honest trap her and will be repeated in future relationship.
THIS IS WHY hundreds and thousand of women engage actively in abusive relationship.
@@maximme I did not realize he was looking at me that way. I was under the impression that he loved me as a whole entity. It was only in hindsight that I came to this conclusion, years after I left him for knowing something was making me feel like trash. If that makes any sense.

I think this is a very good video containing invaluable information to learn and or empower to address habits or understand behaviours or both. Humbly and respectfully, I offer that Dr. Snipes’ very low cut, cleavage revealing attire, could be a trigger to people struggling with a porn addiction. I’m not trying to be a prude or oppressive, just my two bits. The video didn’t make a judgement but I will, porn is probably the most destructive thing to one’s health, relationships, in addition to destroying the foundations of families, and society.

Quick question, do you know if Naltrexone or Naloxone have been shown to be beneficial in people with hypersexuality or OCD regarding sex?
Naltrexone, a medication typically used to reverse opioid overdoses, has been found to have some interesting effects on the brain's reward system that could potentially be beneficial for individuals struggling with hypersexuality or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) related to sex.
How Naltrexone Works:
1. Blocks Endogenous Opioids: Naltrexone has been found to block the endogenous opioids in our brain. These are the chemicals that give us a sense of reward or pleasure when we engage in certain activities, such as eating, exercising, or sexual behavior.
2. Reduces Reward Sensation: By blocking these endogenous opioids, naltrexone can reduce the sense of reward or pleasure that an individual gets from engaging in certain behaviors. This could potentially help individuals who are struggling with hypersexuality or OCD related to sex by making these behaviors less rewarding and therefore less compelling.
Potential Benefits of Naltrexone:
1. Reduced Compulsion: If the sexual behaviors are less rewarding, the individual may feel less compelled to engage in them. This could potentially help to reduce the frequency of these behaviors and the distress that they cause.
2. Increased Control: By reducing the sense of reward, naltrexone could potentially help individuals to gain more control over their behaviors. This could be particularly beneficial for individuals with OCD, who often struggle with feelings of being out of control.
However, it's important to note that while these potential benefits are promising, more research is needed to fully understand the effects of naltrexone on hypersexuality and OCD related to sex. As always, individuals should consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new medication.

There were many important things you said in this video that changed my perspective on things. It's good to know I'm not a compulsive sex fiend or addicted to anything, and pornography use is fairly normal. Especially the information on how the brain translates erotic stimuli.
However, I disagree with the "self-confidence or body-image issues or issues with prowess" aspect of why some people do not "engage" in sexual encounters, and use pornography.
This implies that simply "engaging" in social contact will automatically result in sex-- which, given the videos you've made on the difficulties of finding relationships & dealing with rejection & failure, sounds very naive.
The only place people randomly happenstance into sex with ease-- is porn. There are countless people who actively try to find sexual partners & fail, for years. Think about it: most people don't want to have sex with strangers, much less become "hang out at each other's houses & go to dinner" friends with strangers, and not all hobbies or interests gravitate towards sexual relationships-- war history for example.
This implies the emotions behind this "fantasy relationship" type of pornography use is just a simple life choice at the click of a button, with no history of abject failure at attempted romance.
It implies this pornography use is not an ultimatum between porn; masturbation without porn; pursuing sex with a morbidly obese/ugly person (who requires an intimate relationship or a trusting friendship with many shared interests); spending $300-800/hour on a prostitute; or a life of celibacy without masturbating. Some people are so broken up by this, they spend hundreds of dollars a month on webcam girls who talk to them-- these webcam girls have boyfriends off camera they don't talk about, because they get more money by not bringing it up.
There was a major theme of underplaying the emotional factors at play through this "replacing real relationships with fantasy porn relationships" type of use throughout the entire video.
One thing I would like this to have covered, is if pornography causes you anger.
Case in point: I get very angry more than 90% of the time whenever I see "regular" straight pornography (say one man, one woman, regular sex, story doesn't matter). This is the thought that goes through my head: "Oh look, another girl who would never have sex with me, having sex with a guy whom I have nothing in common with-- and getting paid for it. Why the fuck would I want to watch this?? She's NEVER going to have sex with me. Why the fuck would I even want to touch these women?"
Then I think about how gross a girl who's had sex with her boyfriend 100X is, and think about my negative experiences with women going back to 12-- am 30 now, never had a girlfriend, and I've had far more negative experiences with attractive women than positive due to my high-functioning autism-- and start spiraling into enmity, and my enjoyment of what I was watching goes away and I am in a bad mood. I can't watch pornography or masturbate much anymore because of this, sex has been ruined for me.
I've been in therapy for over a year and have improved a lot, but I still find that almost every woman-- the exceptions prove the rule-- requires an inflated sum of money, goods or services in exchange for sex no matter what the situation is. Even in the "kink" community, where sex is supposed to be handed out like candy, this is true. The women who are into "kink", going off my two years on fetlife, still require the man have access to expensive tools & a private dungeon & a hotel room & the ability to take days off to plan around her schedule, unless she's very fat or ugly-- the exceptions prove the rule. This doesn't have anything to do with "money" like a prostitute, but if you don't already have all the things money can buy, she's not interested in "fulfilling her fantasies" with you, because she has a "special kink", and doesn't feel "safe" with you, but feels safe with this other guy who Does have a private dungeon.
Thanks for watching and commenting. If you search the channel, I have some kink videos that you might find interesting. Wishing you peace, health, and happiness.
im 33 year old also I have a higher functioning autism as well. i been battling pornography and masturbation for 22 years now
man, you are WAY too self centered. That's your main problem, not sex nor women.
Thinking we know what women want (and then being angry with them for it) is a mistake. Autism spectrum disorders impart a tendency to over systemise which is inimical to navigating the nuances of actual reality.

So what is difference of psychology on being addict and occational
Thanks for watching the video. Addiction is the continued use of a substance, person or activity to eliminate or escape from discomfort despite experiencing negative consequences from use.
In the past, the person struggling with the addiction:
-spent more time or money than intended obsessing about, getting, using and recovering from the substance or behavior
-tried unsuccessfully to quit
-experienced repeated health, mental health, relationship, financial, employment or legal issues as a result of use
Addiction are a creative way to a problem when all else has failed
Note: It’s important to address all addictive behaviors & prevent substitute addiction.
