To me Maggie Reilly is the singer of this and no one can take her place. However I have to say the lady singing this is bloody good and has done one hell of a job in her performance, so credit where credit is due. I applaud it.
To me, Maggie and Pepsi do such a fabulous job with this song that I find it difficult to choose between the two; however, I love the way Pepsi sculpts the lyrics with her hands. I've never seen better.
Moonlight Shadow is absolutely haunting and stunning. Up til last week, my only exposure to Mike Oldfield was the Exorcist soundtrack. I don't know where Maggie and Pepsi have been all my life; but WTF. Better late than never.
It was always going to be difficult to follow Maggie Reilly. But this singer has a depth in her voice which is damn excellent and her intensity is fantastic. A beautiful version.

This young lady does a great job with the vocals alongside the incomparable Mike Oldfield. Not easy following Maggie Reilly great vocal but this version is really good.

My full respect to you, Sir. I admire you for the experience accumulated during all these decades. Sorry if I sounded too much. Sorry, but Maggie is an another thing...less movements, less exaggerated facial mimic, she didn't need to dance to be expressive, her voice, her eyes and her shy smile were enough. I prefer the original version of this song
Maggie is excellent but I think she is shaded by Miriam Stockley in the Proms version also on You Tube. Brilliant song and the guitar is just pure genius by Mike.
It's magical - I miss that kind of soultouching in present music. Goosebumps will go on and on....
I watched this about 1,000 times just to watch Pepsi! I'm totally in love with her ❤️
Excellent, probably the best version to date.
Fantastic lead singer! Great woman!
Pepsi belissima.

The last that ever she saw him
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
He passed on worried and warning
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Lost in a riddle that Saturday night
Far away on the other side
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
And she couldn't find how to push through
The trees that whisper in the evening
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Sing a song of sorrow and grieving
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
All she saw was a silhouette of a gun
Far away on the other side
He was shot six times by a man on the run
And she couldn't find how to push through
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven far away
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven one day
Four a.m. in the morning
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
I watched your vision forming
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Stars move slowly in a silvery night
Far away on the other side
Will you come to talk with me this night?
But she couldn't find how to push through
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven far away
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven one day
Far away on the other side
Caught in the middle of a hundred and five
The night was heavy and the air was alive
But she couldn't find how to push through
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Far away on the other side
But she couldn't find how to push through
