Maggie Reilley's Original and Cascada version are - in a way - different songs. Same lyrics and melody, both iconic, but play to different sensibilities. The two truly can't compare.
Good old Maggie and good old Mike. Brings back memories. 80's was just a wonderful time because there was music from melodic pop to something that sounded that it was made by a machine.
Such a beautiful relaxing voice. Maggie Reilly is an 'all- time- great' singer who you recognise in the instant that you hear her. Letting us know that there is only one Maggie Reilly.
Her voice rings like a gentle bell. Never knew the singer, but have heard this song many time, as well as Moonlight Shadow. Always wondered who the singer was. Thanks to the Internet - now I know!
This great guitarist is Tim Renwick. He was a member of Pink Floyd back in the 80s. He also performed with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Elton John and Michael Jackson.
Techinically not a member of Pink Floyd, but he did tour with them and appear on 'The Division Bell' (1994). But I didn't know he did guitar on this until I read this comment.

Maggie Reilly (born 15 September 1956 in Glasgow[1]) is a Scottish singer of Irish descent best known for her collaborations with the composer and instrumentalist Mike Oldfield. Most notably, she performed lead vocals on the Oldfield songs "Family Man", "Moonlight Shadow", "To France" and "Foreign Affair", all of which were international hits in the early 1980s.
Tim Renwick. Played for Pink Floyd, Procul Harum, Mike Oldfield among others. The song was musically composed by the german Peter Risavy who sadly died way too early in 2011.
It's not only Maggie's stunning voice, the soft, weeping guitar riffs make this song complete.

It's an amazing song! It was such a great decade. My teenager time. I listened this song up and down. This wonderfull time will never come back.
Maggie, it's been 30 years but your hits never get old
Самая красивая композиция за последние 100 лет! Невероятная, волшебная...
у них с Майком Oldfield'ом цепляющие мелодии 👍 такого наверное нет ни у кого больше. Тут ещё и текст офигенный.

Maggie Reilly has such a captivating voice. I heard this song after a long time this morning on my alarm radio. It's such a magical song. Perfect treat for the ears ❤
I finally found one of my favorite songs from my childhood. Maggie Reilly's voice sounds real. 💕💕 Her voice is simply so beautiful, soft, high and sweet, that you can't get tired of this song.❤👍 Music to my ears. This lady is amazing, an angel. It reminds me of my childhood.❤💓👌

Maggie's voice and Mike Oldfield's guitar are the perfect match ❤
I´m sorry, but guitars on this song are played by Peter Weihe, a famous german session musician

Bueno ponganse de acuerdo quien es el guitarrista no saben nada ustedes😂
Many artists covered this song. But only Maggie and Tim Renwick can transport this kind of depth and feeling about this masterpiece.
Maggie Reilley's Original and Cascada version are - in a way - different songs. Same lyrics and melody, both iconic, but play to different sensibilities. The two truly can't compare.
Different lyrics, Cascada’s version has different verses
Masterpiece. Beautiful voice, chorus, keyboard and riff guitars ❤. Still on my mind in 2023
This is what it means to have the voice of an angel 💖❤️❤️❤️

She is the heaven on earth. Obviously!
Yes, It is true!
Good old Maggie and good old Mike. Brings back memories. 80's was just a wonderful time because there was music from melodic pop to something that sounded that it was made by a machine.
Magic voice!
I love it
Electronic Frisson , magic voice, magic song, magic video, magic guitar, magical, all of if. Love it! Go crazy for it!

Absolutely love this song. So emotional. Her voice is irresistible.
Such a beautiful relaxing voice. Maggie Reilly is an 'all- time- great' singer who you recognise in the instant that you hear her. Letting us know that there is only one Maggie Reilly.

Wunderschöner Text und wunderschöne Melodie einfach schön 🙌❤
Lovely. Beautiful. Fabulous.Magical. This single was # 1 in Norway.
The album was also numero uno in Norway.
Perfect song, excellent musical arrangement and a voice of an angel!
Волшебный голос! Влюбился много лет назад, как только впервые услышал Moonlight Shadow.
Да, красивый и женственный.
Her voice rings like a gentle bell. Never knew the singer, but have heard this song many time, as well as Moonlight Shadow. Always wondered who the singer was. Thanks to the Internet - now I know!
Angelic voice!
This great guitarist is Tim Renwick. He was a member of Pink Floyd back in the 80s. He also performed with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Elton John and Michael Jackson.
Thanks for the info I was wondering who he was.No wonder I loved his guitar playing!
and Al Stewart, if I'm not mistaken.
PeterSpaeter96 Thats right!
Έτσι. Ωραίος.
Techinically not a member of Pink Floyd, but he did tour with them and appear on 'The Division Bell' (1994). But I didn't know he did guitar on this until I read this comment.
This production is nice the spotlight is shared with the little boy who wills the beneficent visitor to prolong the visit. Maggie's lovely voice sends me.
Such a wonderful song!!!Brings me back beautiful memories of pure and romantic times.Even men have feelings sometimes.
Maggie got this beautiful and characteristic voice, great talent.
You can really feel how sweet she is from her voice. I love this song
Hitler was a vegetarian and loved animals.

Someone listening to this song for the first time in 2020? Yes! Perfect arrangement, an incredibly beautiful and irresistible voice... It's like flying in a sky of beautiful emotions.
I'm from Argentina. Music has no boundaries.
Angelic voice of Maggie accompanied by the chords of the excellent Peter Weihe when he breaks down crying with his guitar, a magical combination.
Her voice is like honey🥰🥰such beautiful vibes! Some songs and artists are forever in top of the best no matter the time that passes by..
Such a pure feminine voice sensation and you can feel the power in her voice. Just brilliant.

How could I have not been missed all that as child of 80's... This still gives me good vibes...
Tim Renwick. Played for Pink Floyd, Procul Harum, Mike Oldfield among others. The song was musically composed by the german Peter Risavy who sadly died way too early in 2011.
