    Today was an accidental recipe day; accidental in that I didn't realize I was giving a recipe until I started editing this footage. But it's in there, as well as the new containers I'm using for my deodorant tubes. I'll post a link for some smaller amounts of tubes from amazon below.

    This is amazing, thank you so much. I love this recipe, and I am grateful for the Amazon link. I have seen these on WSP's site for significantly more than Amazon's price. I never looked into it further because their price was so high I just thought it was not going to be cost effective. This is a game changer, for sure.

    I think the inside liner is more like a coating of a wax paper. I use these all of the time & love them! Here's a few more tips: first off, make sure the disc in the bottom is ALL of the way down and "seated," otherwise your product will leak out the bottom. Use a funnel iid you have an issue with pouring! Fill these ~ 2/3 - 3-4 full, let them partially set up, just to "tacky," then go back and top off. If you don't do this, like lip balm, you will get sink holes. As for sealing the caps, they will come off if not held on. Washi tape works well & you can color code different fragrances. Hope this helps!

    Love natural deodorant! Snappy new recipe to try! I use the cardboard tubes already and adoe them. However, you can't get any oil on them or they look yucky. My labels will stick if it's not near the oily spot isn't near the labels edge. So be aware that you need to use a very good pouring container and I pick mine up individually and cover them with a towel then pour. I try to do all my deodorants in one day! I have 4 scents, so yeah, it's an all day deal. Maybe not all day, but your tired after pouring the last ones and want a glass of wine/beer and relax, lol!
    Hope your having an awesome time skiing and roasting marshmellows, snowmobiling, and enjoying the fresh air and maybe the spa!
    Jill

    Try putting some cornstarch on the oil stains, overnight even. It absorbs oil great. Could also use clay which is similarly coloured, such as rhassoul. That way you wouldn't see any white powder residue. Then mist lightly with alcohol to help any reside to sink into the packaging.
    I found the same tubes just this year & ordered several hundred in different sizes. Just waiting for them to show up. Glad to know I made a good choice.

    I’d love to see a recipe that’s a underarm detox mask to go along with the deodorant that you could use like once a week or so while the body adjusts to natural deodorant, or it could just be used whenever. I’m totally going to make some of this and send it to my siblings to try out. Thanks for sharing! 💜💜

      Spray your pits with alcohol free witch hazel during the day, add some essential oils to it like sage & lavender. Use some activated charcoal on your pits after bathing, leave on for 5 or 10 minutes, wash off. That stuff will absorb damn near anything. Simple. If you stink that badly, it is time to start considering what you are putting in your mouth & on your skin that is so toxic that you are reeking to such a degree. This is a huge issue. Internal before external. Milk thistle, dandelion, burdock etc will help clean toxins out of your body.
      I cannot, and do not, want to imagine a world in which we collectively decide that an underarm mask is a necessity of life....just WTH....we have so many other, far more important things to be concerned with, globally, seriously.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE this deodorant! I made it right before Christmas and also gave out to a few of my friends, who love it as well , almost time to make another batch.
    Question 🙋🏻‍♀️ I live in South Louisiana, in the summer it’s a little over 100°. 🥵🥵
    They are starting to get a little soft. Do you think if I change the butter to Cocoa or Kokum, should that help? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love it and will never go back to store bought deodorant, thanks again for sharing your knowledge and recipes.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  2 роки тому +5

      Hey! Changing the butter to a firmer one will help, or you could also increase the solids by 10% and reduce the liquid oils by the same amount to get a firmer bar for summer months. Have fun!

    So funny - I just asked a question on your other most recent deodorant recipe video yesterday, then you greet me with this today and it answers half of my question. I'll restate it here - is the karanja/Neem oil an absolute necessity for deodorant? I don't currently have products that require these oils but I do want to bring deodorant into the line, could I use other light oils or can you not see this recipe being successful without them? They're pretty spendy oils and the tubes will also be spendy, I'd like to keep them in the affordable range. I couldn't find anything that had close enough properties to directly sub it with. Halp?!

    Could you use a round silicon embed mould or pvc pipe of a slightly smaller diameter to make the deodorant cylinder. Cut them to size. Squirt a little of the melted deodorant into the bottom of each tube and stick the solid cylinder of deodorant into the cardboard tube that way? You could even market the deodorant cylinders as refills? Customers could heat one end with a hair drier and press it into the tube?
