  • Finally able to make a new batch of deodorant and as I don't sell anymore...so here you go. I'm showing you how I make my No Soda Play Natural deodorant and providing you with the recipe. It's great for cutting the odor because of the ingredients I use to kill the bacteria that causes the odor. I hope you enjoy this, so go and make yourself a batch for yourself. It's a great natural deodorant alternative to store bought for the whole family, the recipe is below.
    30 g Cocoa butter
    20 g Coconut oil (76 degree)
    6 g Sweet Almond oil
    4 g Castor oil
    10 g Shea butter
10-15 g Beeswax (add the full 15 g for harder stick)
    15 g Arrowroot powder
    5 g Zinc oxide
    5 - 7 g Kaolin clay
    5 drops Tea tree oil
10 drops of your favorite essential or fragrance oil

Well I just tried this recipe, I did substitute activated charcoal in place of the zinc and I didn't have any Castro oil so I omitted it. I also put in a bit of vitamin e oil. I ended up using lavender and lemon grass as a scent but I don't love it. Next time I will use something that goes better with the cocoa butter as it has quite the scent on it's own. I haven't tried to turn up the tube yet to try this out but I did take some I spilled and give that a try. In other than not loving the scent it is wonderful. Thank you for the video.
Also I times the batch by 5 and got 6 1/2 tubes.
Revised, I have now been using this deodorant for 4 months and I love it! Everyone want some so I'm going to make it for sale. This is the best deodorant recipe I have found so far.

Hey! So I wanted to let you know that I made this, a little bit modified but it works awesome!! I was scared it wouldn't work as a lot of them don't but I will never go back to regular deodorant! I didn't use the cocoa butter, zinc oxide, or castor oil. I upped the shae butter since I didn't have cocoa butter, I didn't have zinc oxide so I added a little baking soda and upped the arrowrroot powder (the baking soda doesn't irritate my skin and I have very sensitive skin) I have never used castor oil so I thought vegetable glycerin may work for slip but it didn't that's the only thing that needed improvement in mine though it was still good. I also added extra bees wax -20 grams and it's good but could be harder I think but that may be because I didn't use cocoa butter. I ordered castor oil so I'm going to make more. But awesome recipe thanks for sharing!! I love that I can now make my own and it works... and I think it works better than my normal deodorant!!

Sorry for not responding sooner, I've been recovering from a serious slip and fall accident that left me hospitalized for a month in late October. I've been recovering ever since. To answer your question, no this is not an antiperspirant but a deodorant. Antiperspirants clog the pores of the sweat glands which are meant to help remove toxins from your body. This deodorant helps eliminate the odor caused from sweating.

It should last the day, but I’ve never tested it in extreme physical activities. The only thing you can do is test it by seeing how much activity it can handle. Most crafters make bigger batches bc they like their recipes, and many sell their creations. I am just creating for myself and close family members. I am having a hard time finding info on subbing bentonite for the kaolin AND arrowroot, as I don't have either and have already spent a lot to get good ingredients.
Do I need to add more or less oil or wax when using bentonite in place of it? Also, do I just the same weight exactly of clay, or are it's absorption properties so much stronger that I should use less?
Also, I am using zinc ricinoleate and magnesium hydroxide as my active ingredients instead of zinc oxide (though I also have zinc oxide). After researching, it seems that it is the ricinoleate form of zinc that actually plays the better role in deodorizing more than the oxide, as that is more of a protector (sunscreen, rash cream, etc). But all of the recipes I am finding aren't listing an actual amount to use as they are from popular brands and sales.
