Zoom - View Speaker Notes When Presenting PowerPoint | Presenter View
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 лип 2024
- Have you been in a Zoom meeting and need to share PowerPoint but you see your Speaker Notes? If you need to let your audience see PowerPoint full screen or "Slide Show" View, you can even view your speaker notes with just one monitor, but only you see your Speaker Notes - the participants see PowerPoint full screen or Slide Show view. To view your Speaker Notes, the trick is to use Share in Zoom and select PowerPoint. In PowerPoint, use "Presenter View". Presenter View works when sharing your screen or just PowerPoint, but the big difference is everyone will see your notes when sharing your screen; this is one of the few times when you only want to share PowerPoint and not a Screen or Window. This works regardless of your role in a Zoom meeting. You can be the host, co-host, or participant.

Thanks for this! This is exactly what I needed to understand to prepare for my presentation at the end of the month. I really appreciate this.
So so good! Very clear. Thanks so much Chris!
Thank you! This was most helpful. Some days my Fn F5 works and sometimes the Alt F5 does, to use presenter view. But this helped me especially when these combinations don't seem to work. I'm curious though why it's not consistent. Anyhow, this was a lifesaver! Thank you again.
Fantastic tip! I tried figuring out less effective ways for about an hour. You're a life and time saver! Thank You!
You're welcome!

Welcome
NICE. WELL DONE SIR.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. Unfortunately, this did not work with me. My presenter view was still shared with other participants. I couldn't seem to find what was going wrong.
Hi Chris: Thanks for showing how to hide speaker notes on Zoom. However, when I did this recently for a lecture, it worked fine but the audience then could not see my mouse pointer arrow when I wanted to highlight a finding on an x-ray image. Any thoughts on getting around this issue?
One thousand likes! Thanks!
Glad to help.
Thank you
You're welcome
Brilliant😎
Thank you!
Great video on how to hide speaker notes from zoom viewers. Can you
still see the chat log and visitor camera windows on the side in this mode?
Can you please do a video on how to do this with Google Slides, instead of PowerPoint? Also, is there a way that we can show a small video thumbnail of ourselves giving the presentation on the side of the screen? Basically, I need to record my Google Slides presentation on Zoom, while showing a small video thumbnail of myself giving the presentation on the side of the screen, and also being able to view my speaker notes without anyone else seeing them.
I need this for class, but haven’t been able to find a suitable tutorial on it yet.
Can one do the same steps for a PP presentation Zoom recording?
Just tried this but it's still showing presenter view. Has their been an update in Zoom? Any updated trick? Thanks!
I managed to do this one time on accident and couldn't find it again. Thank you
Hi Chris , may i contact you, or ask you for help determining an equation in excel but i am 2 dumm 2 figure it out ! willing to pay u for that though. many thanks sir
Great tip! Is this option available in Teams?
Yes. This is the default in MS Teams when sharing a PowerPoint.
Hi chris i have questions
Hi Chris. Thanks for the video! I've been using the method you showed in the video for years (with my "Setup slideshow" settings set to "presented by a speaker (full screen"). Today, I was doing a zoom presentation in slideshow (verified by my co-host that they could only see the slideshow) while I was looking at the presenter's notes. We had an embedded video that worked when we tested it in zoom, but when we used it during the live zoom session, only sound came through. However, the worst part was that when the video was over, I could no longer view my speaker's notes without the audience seeing them! Have you heard of this? It was a technological mess! If I use your alternative method (using the advanced function) should I have ppt set up as "presented by a speaker" or "browsed by an individual?" Thanks again for your videos!
I have also had problems with embedded videos when I tried to do this!
I WISH I KNEW THIS 4 MONTHS AGO!!!
Great tip. Thank you much. How do I see notes when using a projector and laptop? Should be the same as dual monitors?
For me, that is how it works. Same as having two monitors, but if it doesn't appear to work, do Windows key and P and select Extend. Four options appear with Win + P, but extend should work.
@@ChrisMenardTraining Thank you for the reply. I had wondered about Extend option. Will apply it. Thanks again
If I have my camera turned on simultaneously with this setting am I still visible to everyone while the presentation is going on?
I can’t do it on Mac PPT… Do you know how it works on OS devices please?
can you give the steps. I am messing up. thanks much
Not working. does 2010 version work? it keeps saying I need an additional monitor
Hi Chris - I am using Mac and it does not work unfortunately. Am I missing something or it does not work for Mac
I don’t see the option for use presenter view
LIFE SAVER!!!! I was about to leave the house to buy an HDMI cord and get a second monitor! thank you so much!!!
how do you stay on camera and still prsent a a powerpoint presentation
How do i make the audience not to see when i select the presenter view? Since they can already see my screen
I see red screen when i go presenter view ?? How can I fix this in pp
Does this work with Canva?
I'm not sure. I don't use Canva.
Hi i have a problem, maybe you can help, I try to follow your step but still it's not working like, if I'm going to use the presenter view it's like the zoom mirroring my monitor
Instead of opening PP to share, go to Advanced - "Share a portion of your screen" - Share - Open PP, go to presenter view - Adjust the window to show just your presentation. It's a little clunky but foolproof (-
Hello Chris! Just tried this but it's still showing my notes in Presenter View. Has there been an update in Zoom? Any updated trick? Thank you!
I'm using a Mac, I don't know if that makes a difference?
I'm not using zoom, all I would like to do is show my slides and be able to see my notes without the class seeing them. Is that possible? Thank you
In PowerPoint you want to use Presenter View. It is on the Slide Show tab
But the problem is, the presenter view only shows the notes for the next slide, not the current slide. Anybody has the same issue?
I have been looking for this tip forever! Unfortunately, it's not working for me. I do EXACTLY what you do in your video and when I switch to showing presenter view...it also changes that view for everyone else....would you happen to know why?
When I come to share Powerpoint...it shows me ONE PPT square with a number 3 (instead of showing me the 3 PPT windows that should be available to share)...hmmmm...I wonder why it does not show me the 3 PPT windows separately for me to chose the right one...
I figured it out! It was a Zoom Setting that I had to tweak. Yay!
Does this still work? I followed the same steps but the presenter notes are still visible
Instead of opening PP to share, go to Advanced - "Share a portion of your screen" - Share - Open PP, go to presenter view - Adjust the window to show just your presentation. It's a little clunky but foolproof (-:
Doesn't work on macOS :( ... Any workaround?
Same question here.
It does work for me. Just make sure to start the presentation in full screen mode before, as on macOS a second window opens for the presentation view. Now go to Zoom and select the window with the running presentation as the window to present, not the standard PowerPoint window. Hope this helps.
@@Wolfi555555555555 i am trying that but its not working. i put the presentation into full screen mode but in order to go to zoom now i need to exit the full screen mode of the ppt.
@@tinasi776 Have you enabled gestures in the trackpad settings? There is a gesture with three thingers, which shows you all the open windows. Just use this gesture while in full screen mode, click on the zoom window and then it should work.
Agree does not work for Mac…tried everything!!!!
Doesn't work for me...
