In this simple tutorial, we cover the process of how to use a script on Zoom, with a free online teleprompter. This is a great solution if you struggle to memorise long presentation scripts on camera.

How to use the VEED Teleprompter Software for Zoom Meetings.
Follow the link to Veed's free online teleprompter and select Launch FREE Teleprompter.
Select Webcam Only to launch the Teleprompter window.
Paste your script or notes into the teleprompter, then adjust your speed and size settings at the bottom of the grey window.
Click and drag the teleprompter window to where you want it to be on screen - I recommend placing it in the top, middle area of the screen right underneath your webcam - this will make it look like you are still looking directly into the camera lens.
Now launch your Zoom Meeting and start the call. Before you begin your presentation, then switch back to the Veed Window and press play on the Teleprompter.
You can now read your script from the autocue with ease. If you need to stop the scrolling at any time, just hit pause.

If someone else is initiating the zoom call and I screen share will the teleprompter still be hidden from the audience? Or does that only work when I initiate the zoom call from the same computer that I'm using the Veed Studio teleprompter?
It won't let me just use the teleprompter without recording, and If I do record, I can't add a background as in Zoom, so a bit limited.
will this work if you are sharing slides on your screen?

When I open the Online Teleprompter online application from the link you have shared, I do not have the same view, since the yellow circle with the hand does not appear.
And the teleprompter window doesn't stand alone, like it appears in your video.

How do you switch to teleprompter and zoom does not see words?
My partner is the host of our webcam. I am a speaker as well, but will not be allowed to share. Can I create a script, see it on the teleprompter, see the slides and be seen by the audience as well as the host. So the audience would see both presenters, plus the slides. My screen would show the both of us, but I would only see the script. Help. Thanks

looks like your camera allows opening in both Zoom and Veed at the same time-- mine doesn't seem to allow this. Am I missing something?
This video made is sound s easy. The missing piece is how to actually get it to link to the zoom. It not intuitive, and it takes a bit of time to figure that out. Maybe a video on how to do that? Thanks

How far should your face be from the screen. What is the recommended distance for optimum effect?
Hi Ivan! It depends on in which context you mean it. As long as your face is visible enough and you find a position to read the scripts well!
Veed doesn't allow a live or "web cam only" option anymore. It forces you to record. If I'm wrong, please let me know how to avoid being forced to record a session. Thanks!

Hi! You should be able to share your screen and use the teleprompter at the same time. Otherwise, an extra screen connected to your device could help a lot if you want to have more oversight or you're working on a relatively small screen. Hope this helps! 👍

Will there ever be gif support for videos?
You can upload and export GIFs to Veed, what do you need help with?

why does it ask for audio permission if I'm not recording? Not as easy to do as your demo
Hi Randi, once the browser you're using detects webcam or audio usage, so even before recording something, it asks for permission to use your webcam or audio, for user's security reasons. This is a common phenomenon.
Can I use this on a live zoom call, not prerecorded, to speak into the camera while reading my script right under the camera and have others see only me reading live?

I am trying to understand: so when you are in zoom, the teleprompter window is in another screen, not at the top of your zoom meetng? so you are switching back and froth between screens?

I tried it today. Does not work. I scroll all the way down to clock on 'Launch the Teleprompter' it brings me up to the top page. 3 options available and I select camera option , then it is just waiting and waiting. Pls advise. Do I need to register an account?
