I was one of those abused men. And I remember distinctly to this day that when I had finally had enough of her physical abuse I told her if she ever hit me again I would call the police. To which she replied “go ahead, who do you think they are going to believe? You, a big strong man or me, a frail scared woman that you know I’ll show them” I left that night and never looked back. Unfortunately there are many men that can’t.

I've been abused more times than I can count. There's a stigma unfortunately that no matter what as a man, you are weaker for the situation. Regardless of how you react, you either fight back and get labeled abusive or you don't and your less of a man for it. Lose/lose scenario.

She’s a pernicious narcissistic sociopath who I doubt could be helped by any amount of mental health treatment but at least he’d of had time to come up with a strategy to get away from her. Those kids needed to be protected from her too! Female family annihilators a rare but I think she was evil enough to do something that heinous to hurt him. Adrian doesn’t talk much about the kids but it seems they had a horrific front row seat to their parents toxic relationship. I hope they are together in a loving home and getting lots of professional counseling. It will compound this tragedy if they bring that cycle of violence into adulthood either as victims or abusers; sadly this happens too often.

Hi and thank you for another excellent video. I am 73 years old and come from a gentler generation where so little importance was placed on ‘beauty of self’.
Family and values of respect were evident in those times. Obviously, there were the few exceptions, but throughout my formative years, this was the status quo.
I watch in absolute horror as one after another entitled ‘influencer’ with so much to offer the youngsters of today, instead revert to showing how entitled and crude they are and how, in most instances, these attributes have brought them not only boundless amounts of money, but millions of followers.
These are now the role models that their millions of followers are emulating and are held to be popular.
Having 4 grandchildren in their late teens, and seeing and listening to them, I know that they are being affected by these TikTok videos etc.
This case in particular as well as the Only Fans model, Courtney Clenney case I watched the other day are perfect examples.
How sad that both these entitled non entities were allowed to behave in this manner for so long. Where were the people who raised them when they were younger? Why were they not taught basic humility… love of others?
I end off here as I feel I have lost the world that I grew up in…
However, thank you for your excellent videos that are always well presented and thought provoking. Off to get my cup of coffee so that I can cool down..❤

I tend to consider myself kindhearted and respectful, and the basis of our modern culture is being self absorbed and cruel to get by. My grandfather was born during the Second World War, and I’ll always remember my dad’s story of how his parents met. Nana was engaged to another man who was probably better off than Grandpa, and he won her over just by how good of a man he was.

I had an abusive girlfriend. You know what people thought? That I was the abusive one. No one believed me, not even some family members. Because I'm a man. No one cares.
During an argument one night, she was hitting me, throwing items at me and I finally snapped and raised my voice at her, for the first time. Neighbours called the police, funny how they never called when her voice was raised.
Anyways, I had a good talk with the police and told them my situation. Showed the scratches on me and and all the items she'd thrown. On her there wasn't even a mark. So the police recommended she leave for the night which she did. And the police told me to control MYSELF. I'm the frikken victim!
Anyways, the early the next morning, I went to the local hardware and bought new locks for every door and window in the house and the local locksmith came to help me change them all. I also disabled the electric garage door. She wasn't getting in.
Later that day she came to the house expecting to get in with her keys. She couldn't. She tried the windows, they were locked. The garage door? Her remote wouldn't work.
Once she calmed down from all the screeching, I told her that she had 24 hours to get all her things or they'll go in the rubbish or on marketplace.
She got her things and left. After a couple of months, I put the house up for sale and moved. She never found out where. I'm a happy man now but I'm still pissed that most people didn't take me seriously when I was abused by her. I got "you're a big guy, how could that little woman be hurting you?". Ever had a knife thrown at you?
DV isn't ever right, but unfortunately women are far more protected than me men are.

Not really. If you look around you, you get a better idea of what people really look like than looking online. The problem is that image editing and filters are the norm, so most people think that's what women should look like. I live in Los Angeles, and there are a lot of gorgeous women, but honestly, most don't look like the ones on the internet. Also, isn't there something bewitching about viewing someone photogenic in a still image? You get an impression of something without experiencing their voice, stature, gait, height, weight, and personality which ALL contribute to attraction. I learned early on that people were not what they seemed online, for better or worse. I'd much rather be more attractive in person.

Thankfully he left her, but he was in denial for so long, it is so sad, he thought he deserved it, and unfortunately, leaving a toxic relationship is easier said than done.

Similar situation here. My friend began dating a woman and we, too, became friends. Turns out she had BPD and by the time he realized how unhinged she was, he was already financially and emotionally trapped. I wanted him to be safe, but he seriously had nowhere to go because I couldn't take him in (I rented a place and my roommates weren't comfortable having a guy sleep on the couch). When she finally hit him so bad he had to call the cops on her, he called me and asked me to pick him up while she was in jail because he might not get another chance. I was genuinely afraid she was going to murder us both once she got out. She did show up at my place looking for him, parking behind my car and trapping me in the house, but the threat of calling the police scared her away. The threat of a restraining order kept her away too, apparently, since I haven't heard from her since they issued her the papers.
She still has most of his belongings because the cops won't show up to mediate their interactions so he can get his stuff. He was trapped in that relationship for something like 12 years because either the cops believed her story over his or if she did suffer any consequences, she'd take it out on him after she'd inevitably be let off the hook.
I keep our doors double locked just in case she decides to track down our new address since my friend and I live together now. I worry about my ex-roommates in case she shows up there again on a rampage wanting to get revenge. I constantly kick myself, wishing I had done something to help sooner, but I was (and am) genuinely afraid she would and will kill us both.

An abusive upbringing and personality disorders like narcissism and border line personality disorder disproportionately go together.
I went out with someone with borderline personality disorder (though obviously I didn't know it and didn't have much of a clue about human psychology - learned that in counselling trying to put the pieces together afterwards!) for 3½ years and it was positively insane but thankfully never physical - though psychological abuse is bad enough. You don't realise how bad it was until after it's over and you start to talk about it to others. At the time your in the relationship you just take each armageddon as it comes and try and avoid the next one happening.
Incidentally she had a cold, judgemental, angry and controlling mother and told me stuff about her childhood that rang true from my own experience of her mother, and how her mother treated her grandchildren.

**GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN**
Don't be ashamed to ask for help, men or women. Please think of your life, safety and happiness before theirs. They want nothing more than to control, gaslight and destroy you.
Their "love" may seem exciting and intense at first but I promise you this will not last or be reality. Usually something called "lovebombing", a tactic that abusive/narcissist people use to lure you in. If this is new to you or you're wondering if you're being abused take some time to research narcissists and abusive patterns. Pay close attention to what they say, how they react and their actions (because we all know actions speak louder than words).

I don't know if this is just me but outside of maybe one or two other things I've watched over the years, I feel like some true crime youtubers don't handle things as respectfully as they should, like it's a dramatic story. Also, happy birthday!

Thank you, Adrian! These cases need to be highlighted and publicised. Historically, this type of abuse has never been addressed correctly. But things appear to be changing.
There was a case in 2018 in the UK of Alex Skeel, who was abused in a very similar manner by his girlfriend Jordan Worth, with whom he had 2 children. She abused, starved and assaulted him (yes, with knives!) to the point where doctors said he was about 10 days away from death. Jordan Worth, who looks the total opposite of Abigail White, became the first female in the UK to be charged for criminal abuse of her partner. She was sentenced to 7.5 years imprisonment but was "released in January 2022 after serving half her sentence, something which occurs automatically in the UK and in 90% of cases of imprisonment." [Wikipedia]. She has a new victim...I mean, boyfriend...now.
Would be great if you could feature this case. There's a YT vid about Alex's story at REALWOMEN/REALSTORIES.

My heart breaks for Bradley Lewis’ loved ones. I’m so very sorry for their loss. I hope they can find some peace and purpose in taking care of those 4 babies. Nothing ‘good’ could inherently come from this, except that, God willing, those children may never be under their Mothers clutches, and they will be raised in a good and nurturing home.

I am married for 22 years and have had BPD for longer than that. The fear of abandonment is a huge thing and it makes me lash out verbally, but I attempt to be conscious of what I say and it usually turns into suicidal idiation on my part... but never have I EVER felt it was right to resort to violence or slander him online, nor have I ever done it. While BPD is hard as heck to deal with, it never makes it an excuse to do anything to another human. Period.

I'm glad you're so self-aware and conscious of your issues. BPD is absolutely not fun, but it can lead to a lot of abusive relationships. One of my ex-friends has BPD and abused her ex-boyfriend the same way Abigail did to Bradley, but luckily her ex got away from her before she could murder him. Comments like yours remind us that BPD doesn't equal murderer and we should hold off passing judgment based on diagnoses. I hope you can find adequate ways to cope. It really isn't fun not being able to control your intense moods.

I think more awareness and understanding of BPD is needed. It’s vastly misunderstood and under diagnosed. There are several types of therapy treatments that have been effective at helping individuals retrain their thinking and behaviors. It’s not easy, at all. But there is help available. The hardest part is getting those who need it, to take it.

This happens a lot. My last true relationship was with an abusive woman and her mom had incidents of abuse towards her dad.
I had to come up with an elaborate lie to get out of that relationship, but I’m very glad that I don’t have to worry about her anymore. I’m even more glad that I never got her pregnant accidentally.
I’ll just say it’s not easy pushing someone away that you truly care about.

@@SqueaksUofA Yet current feminism will defend the behaviour as everything is men's fault. I went to counselling years ago to discuss the abuse my brother and I suffered from my mother, and I found out later the counsellor was an avid feminist who laid all the blame on my brother and me. I'm glad you got out man, I had a similar experience with my first GF, glad I got out without too many negative consequences, although she did save like 20k as I paid for everything and cheated on me with one of my close friends. I feel sorry for him because they got married, divorced him, took all his shit, got him fired, and won 100% custody of their two boys, all while being celebrated by social media while claiming to be a Christian.
