- In the leafy suburbs of Wimbledon, Sabrina Kouider's terrible delusions claimed the life of an innocent young woman, named Sophie Lionnet. Sabrina had long tried to place herself in the celebrity-sphere, and even achieved it, too. But after ruining her one golden opportunity, her delusions would amplify.

“You see Sabrina thought very highly of herself despite not being good at anything at all” I nearly spat out my iced coffee! 😂
So the Kardashians were her role models! 😂
He has been extra savage this episode. And I love that, because they held someone for months, and then 12 days against her will. 5 broken ribs is no joke, when I bruised my ribs I couldn't get up to go to the toilet without the help of my boyfriend for a week. He did everything for me, because all I could do is lay there in pain. He took me to the hospital when it happened, and didn't believe they were 'just bruised' and when the hospital staff asked if I had been drinking He completely lost his shit. Of course I hadn't otherwise he wouldn't have been driving me there.
We only drink together, and were playing pool when I slipped and fell. He insisted that I get help, I took 5 weeks off of work without a doctors note. He took 3 weeks off so that he can help me out of bed when I needed to go to the toilet. Broken ribs are agony, I cried and watched my boyfriend cry every single day.
Sophie should not have gone through it, I can't imagine her pain.
Thought highly of herself and had no talent. Reminds me of Megain Markles description! 🦘🤣

Sabrina’s kids might have lost their mom but I feel that is a blessing. They dodged a bullet with a mother like that.
Yeah those if they hadn’t done what they did they probably would have ended up killing their children at some point down the road. I pray that Sabrina never sees her children again
The kids wouldve ended up dead for sure.

This word is overused, its literally mental health. She would have been schizophrenic. Ffs.
How could "people" that knew about the abuse not speak up?! Just sickening. Poor beauty. RIP😢
What confuses me, Sabrina forced Sophie to a police station, accused her of plotting murder, being a spy and being in cahoots with someone in another country, but the police didn’t think to separate the 20 year old young lady from another country from the accusers and make sure of what’s happening??? SMH
especially if she was looking anything close to how she did towards the end... complete negligence...
It's also strange the cops wouldn't recognise delusional behaviour as a reason to have her mentally assessed. Isn't it a crime to make a false police report. I know Sabrina was shy, but should they not have at the very least questioned her separately about what the hell was going on.
That would have happened if this was in America

This made me tear up... Sophie should have been living her best life in London. Instead, she was tortured and killed by two soulless monsters. Poor girl, rest in peace.
She actually got what she was looking for in a billionaire and was such an awful person she lost it....
For people like Sabrina, even when they get what they allegedly want...nothing is ever good enough. It absolutely strains credulity.
Exactly. All she had to do was not be a psychopathic bitch, but she couldn't even manage that. Pretty pathetic
Nothing like self-centeredness to ensure self-sabotage
"Despite Sabrina being a serial freeloader" that was a great line 😂
Savagery at its finest
As one of serial freeloaders who is still living at my parent's home on my 30s, I politely reject her from our community. Maybe other community will accept her, but not us.
I was like what this had me dying
This case reminds me of a friend who worked as an au pair for a rich family of bankers in England. The mother was supposed to pay her salary from the money her husand was giving her for maintaining the house. She was spending them all on lunches and bags. As it was getting worse and worse, my friend wanted to leave as soon as she was paid, but she got too attached to the baby, who started calling her mommy, since his real mom did not pay much attention to him. One time the family went for a long skiing weekend abroad with a private jet and left her in the house. She very soon realised they turned the heating off and locked the room with the regulator. The got mild pneumonia that weeked and that was the last drop. She went on au pairing of another family - Brittish-Indian couple, - and it was also not the nicest experience, but nothing like the first family. Unfortunately, there is little control on the au pair employers.
The sad fact of the matter is this type of thing is still happening, especially with wealthy families. These Au pair agencies need to be checked and monitored. This is modern day slavery

I'm very pleased that I listened to this. I am a house manager/cook/PA, for private families who live on private country estates in the UK. When you apply for these types of live in positions, you are required to supply a DBS report so that the employer may see any crime records that you may have. What is actually needed are DBS reports also from the employer or at the very least, be sure to speak with the previous employee. I held two posts briefly where I was lied to and manipulated during interviews and once I moved in I was attacked by certain members of the household, whilst sleeping, when they were drunk or on drugs, I can never be sure which! So, as a warning, be sure to investigate whomever you may go to work for, as the UK has some very bizarre creepy, wealthy people who will do very crazy and strange things to you. Be warned!!

I remember this case . I’ve seen a couple of documentaries about it . Sabrina told mark that she’d had a termination . However when Mark spoke to Sabrina’s brother he said that Sabrina had given birth to a baby boy in Paris. Her brother said that the boy lived with their mother in Paris . Mark has tried to get paternity tests . He said that if it’s his son, he wants to raise him .
Sophie went through unspeakable torture . She used to chat to her neighbours . They saw Sophie was extremely thin and looked unhappy but they didn’t try to enquire why . They did nothing ! However that’s how it is in London , especially in Wimbledon .
It’s how it is everywhere ‘as long as I’m alright jack’ then nothing else matters mentality total selfish useless people
Mark seems like such an amazing person. I’m glad he got out of that relationship but the consequences afterwards…heartbreaking.
I wonder if he ever got that DNA test now that she's in prison?
Im sure they checked him after the kids became a ward of the state. Theyre probaly not his.

Being a nanny is the most underpaid yet very risky job, Rip Sophie. When things get extreme people need to secretly run away and seek help when they are out in a safer place.
I've worked as an au pair several times and was shocked by how dysfunctional families can be and how many people want a cheap housemaid/nanny/slave they can control. There needs to be more protection for "au pairs" in all countries. Many people take advantage of young women who have invested time and money to join a family and feel trapped once they are so far from family and home. Sophie sounded like a lovely person, I know her spirit lives on in the people she touched.
Yes, absolutely! So often "helpers" are hired and are expected to do ridiculous amounts of labor, all of which the homeowners are much too lazy to do themselves (when they're even simple tasks), and it all adds up the bigger the place of work is. And despite it all, are expected to work for just about minimum pay, when the amount of labor should be compensated with pay much, much higher. I've worked in janitorial positions in many facilities, and it's utterly absurd how adults will act like children and not clean after themselves. Also very demeaning to be looked down upon as the "cleaning guy" by others who are just slobs themselves. And it's worse when these positions are typically help by persons with disabilities or who are practically almost in their elder years. I swear, I question desperation, dignity, selfish-employers, and how any of it is worth it far too often...
Unfortunately that's par for the course.

I must say, I worked as a nanny (au pair) in Paris, and it has been the most horrid experience in my life.
I also witnessed other female and male au pairs being abused and exploited.
I am glad I made it out alive.
This is true! I've seen that too
I'm so sorry you went through that 😢 I sincerely hope you are doing better now 💗
HUMAN LABOR TRAFFICKING!!! Keep aware. You could save lives!
A former classmate worked as an au pair in France. The father raped her repeatedly, stole her passport, locked her in a room, beat her and threatened to kill her. She finally was able to escape and ran to the police, who didnt want to get involved. They only helped her because other people in the police station came to her aid and demanded it. Au pair did nothing about it. I'm convinced that they are a human trafficking ring disguised as an organization.
I've seen it happen too. My mum worked as a cleaner for this rich couple and they got a nanny from America and fell out with her for no reason almost immediately ,accused her of nonsense and bullied her.
She went back to America, and I feel bad that her only experience of the British was these two shitebags.

If Mark was her meal ticket why didn't she treat him like a king and try to keep him happy to have access to his money? I don't get her, she wasn't only selfish and evil she was stoopid as well.

The irony that Sabrina was paranoid Sophie knew Mark, when he never would learn about her until after her death, so he keeps her with him forever now, someone he would never have known otherwise, while Sabrina rots in prison with her ever growing insanity.
It's the UK. She'll probably be back out by the end of next week with good behaviour. Seriously tho, this one got me heated.. I hope they throw away Sabrina's keys. RIP Sophie 🙏🏼😔
Please don't mistake plain old evil for "insanity." Sabrina is NOT insane, she's just REALLY, REALLY MEAN. There's a world of difference!
I personally struggle with insanity. The number of people I have physically harmed so far is zero, & I'm planning to keep it that way. I try not to emotionally hurt anyone, either, but the complexities of human relationships are such that I'm always hurting people's feelings by accident -- however, I recognize my culpability in this & hold myself accountable. I apologize & try to make amends & if anyone gets so hurt that they no longer want to have anything to do with me, I realize that it's their right to make that choice & I leave them alone forthwith.
Sabrina made her bed & she should have to sleep in it -- no matter whether or not she was abused at any point herself, she CHOSE to behave as she did & she's NOT the victim of this story. I also hope she rots in prison, but the woman, though almost entirely not right in the head, is SANE.
"while Sabrina rots in prison with her ever growing insanity", i like the way you said that, "her ever growing insanity".......yes, unfortunately it appears people like that just get worse exponentially, a constant doubling of her symptoms confined within prison walls would indeed make her worse by the day.
And as Adrian said, her not being able to cope with prison life is precisely the point of a prison sentence.
Poor Sophie, what suffering, how that must torment her family
And of course Sabrina is in no way a victim, but is most definitely insane, she is mad, all of her very own doing
That poor girl. Toxic relationships are sadly an epidemic nowadays. The only way to keep safe from people like that is to learn the signs of toxic or narcissistic people and avoid them. UA-cam is a good resource for that subject. Highly toxic people choose docile, complacent partners then do a number on them psychologically including having the ability to plant their own will in the partner. Well done video; hope it helps many.
This one really hit me I couldn't help but start crying for Sophie. I am so sad at how helpless she was. It's even more painful that there were people who knew of the abuse but did nothing to intervene. She was robbed of a life that she deserved way more than those two animals who snatched it from her. May they come to their senses and be riddled with guilt and rot in squalor for the suffering they have caused. Please reach out to someone, anyone, if you are a victim of abuse. Please.
The last picture of Sophie is so difficult and heartbreaking to look at. Her eyes, face and body posture express her misery and pain so clearly. It’s gut wrenching to look at and infuriating at the same time. I hope that Sophie’s memory will live on through love and that the other 2 pieces of filth’s die with them in prison.

Thank you for covering this with such compassion. I have heard her story before, but this telling had me crying for her, her family and society in general. She has touched so many lives around the world. I'm sure there are many survivors of domestic violence who got help because of her. Thanks again for another reason I'm glad I watch your channel.
The Met police have failed her!
How on earth could she be man-handled into a police station by her live-in employers and accused of a stupidly ridiculous crime, and then allow the victim to go home with her abusive accusers is downright insane!
Oh yes.....red flags big time.
The law with regards to things like these has always been a bad. If Sophie had gone to them they would have simply sent her away with 'if it happens again then come back and report it' . The police would only arrest Sabrina if she really hurt Sophie in a way that Sophie had to go to hospital. Also if Sabrina is a female so police tend to look lightly at females who do abuse.
@@orinorio1 I don't think this is a matter of law changes. This is a matter of safeguarding policy awareness, and I can't imagine that the police don't have safeguarding policy.
Safeguarding policy applies to all employees, should we be aware of data that puts people at risk we have to report it, regardless of the sensitivity of that data. Surely it's the same for the police?
Am not surprised. The police, in general, are nothing but useless goons who just want to strut about feeling cool. This goes for all policemen/women from any country in this world!
What Sabrina and Sam did was EXCEPTIONALLY horrible, but it is the most extreme show of an unfortunate culture that surrounds domestic workers in almost every country. Abuse, missing people, indentured servitude, and modern slavery is far too rampant in homes with live-in hired help. I wish there were third parties that existed that families had to answer to so things like hiding passports or hired help going missing didn’t happen. It’s not a catch all solution but at least it would be something, idk. Seems hopeless sometimes.
Ab so mf lutely. This international lawyer and proud worker applauds your insightful comment.
Wow. I never really thought about it. Thank you!
they tortured this poor young isolated girl, it is very sad that she had no one to turn on in the vicinity. I am from France and I know a lot about this case, Sophie was very naïve and shy, and she thought that Sabrina could help her to become an actress. At the beginning Sabrina was very nice to her, showering her with gifts, outfits and makeup, but it didn't last and she began to abuse her both mentally and physically for weeks. A seller in a grocery store suspected something because she looked so bad and she lost a lot of weight during this period but he didn't had time to help her. This kind of abuse is more common that we think and in wealthy diplomatic circles, some people bring young girls from abroad to exploit them for all kind of house works, and are using them as modern slaves, some of those girls manage to escape and can be helped by associations.
The fact that she feels no remorse is sickening too.
and that girl was a legally hired, imagine what horror illegal workers go through
I have seen this on some other show that went into much more details. Unbelievable that neighbors never reported them. It was so sad. These two should have got the death penalty if it was on the table. It was despicable.

This case is truly heartbreaking. I feel so sad for Sophie's parents. Sam the spineless and Sabrina both deserve exactly what they got, but their sentences should've been a whole life span, not just 30 years.
She will be old & ugly by the time she gets out.
And the difference is not just "negligible" , either.
From a prisoner's POV, the difference between 30 years and "Life - without the possibility of parole" is the difference of doing ones time with a glimmer of hope, to keep you going....to having NONE!
It's a psychological blow that criminals like this truly deserve.
It's sad that our modern justice systens seem more concerned with what you can prove , and striking deals accordingly...than with the ethical sense of "right & wrong".
In cases like this...I would make an exeption and sentence them to death. Maybe life in prison for Sam, but Sabrina shows that sometimes the death penalty should be allowed..

Carrying on with her drowned body near by, having a bar-b-q next to the victim being incinerated ... those 2 were murderous, sadistic ghouls. Great storytelling as usual, but extremely sad for Sophie and her mother.
Certainly one of the most frustrating cases Adrian has covered.
What this dear lady went through all for this apology for a woman's ego and aims is heart-breaking.
Sadly, the sentence as usual does not reflect the seriousness of this despicable crime.
RIP Sophie, you deserved so much better all round.
I’ve heard this case previously, but didn’t realize until I saw Sophie’s photo. I didn’t recognize Sabrina at all. Sam and especially Sabrina deserve to be reconnected only in their prison cell blocks.
Poor Sophie, may her beautiful soul rest....
I can’t be the only one who started laughing out loud when Sabrina was found guilty and she started screaming and crying haha
NO,you aren't (gives high five)!!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
No its typical 3rd world immigrant mentality they think the world revolves around them
The schadenfreude is particularly sweet.
Sabrina was such a chaotic horrible force that she was able to verbally and physically abuse a billionaire - a guy who could manage teams and companies got worked over by a crazy b. No wonder she could also control Sam and the nanny. Sad. Stay away from crazy.
Shes delusional
Anything with a hole between the legs could control Sam.
I've heard this story before but not as thoroughly. Thank you for doing such a great job with your story telling. Appreciate you!
Adrian thank you so much! You‘re such a good narrator and its interesting and fun how you always give background information / an insight about the place where the crime occured . It’s quite instructive as well! ❤👏
An employer withholding someones passoort has to be a crime... Also working someone for 50 pounds week... Thats atrocious...
It's modern slavery
This case has always haunted me. It’s just so disgusting and awful. Sabrina is truly rotten to the core. I can’t imagine the confusion and fear Sophie went through. It’s just heartbreaking. Sam is just as despicable.
Gotta leave immediately when someone puts hands on you...
seriosuly the way you tell the story and voice is the most comforting amongst other true crimes story teller-
sometimes I got annoyed by how fast they talk/ read script and intonations- I’d rather not to finish
CC, you did it again. ❤ you caring heart and thoughtful kindness go into each episode and it shows. Also, Thanks for putting the #’s there for help. Keep doing your thing, cause your amazing ❤
Leaving ANY kind of abusive relationship is easier said than done. Being in that type of relationship is truly terrifying.
I had heard about this case and still it makes me sick to hear about how this woman tortured a young, innocent girl. It’s more proof that the scariest monsters are human beings.
Btw, thank you so much Adrian for the information you give us about the area where the incident happened and also your absolute respect for victims.
i'm tearing up, from shopie fate, and from the hotline you provide, that could safe someone life in the future.
and the possibility that sophie though, that the police can't help her.
I can’t believe how much this channel has grown so quickly…I hit the subscribe button when there was 50k….!!!!! So proud of you! Keep the journey going!!!
This is unbelievable. Poor Sophie. Those creeps better stay in jail for the rest of their lives.
Halfway through the video, I realized that I had heard of this case. The torture they threw on that poor girl was so unbelievable....sorry I couldn't listen to the rest of the video. Rest in peace Sophie
Luckily Adrian didn't dive into the grim details. Too horrible
Same. Listened to the rest of it at 2x speed with the volume turned all the way down.
It's scary to think they could have got away with it if it wasn't for their ridiculously blatant way of trying to dispose of her. So sad
Your cases are so dam interesting, well researched and most of them, I’ve never heard before, and that’s no mean feat. Well done Adrian, always the highlight of my day.
How do women like this actually exist? I just can’t fathom being so naturally evil.
**Amber Heard has entered the chat**
@@decimusvitae *and continues to squat on top of the bed sheet, and-*
way more than you think
They exist with an inflated sense of Superiority.
One reason was she was supported by a pathetic simp
Unfortunately, the police didn’t take Sophie aside and ask if she wanted to talk about her situation.
One of the most shocking crimes, may Sophie rest in peace! You made a beautiful tribute to her short life. The picutre of her charred glasses made me tear up...
PS - Apparently Sabrina thought of herself as a Kim Kardashian lookalike.... no words
Mark seems like an upstanding guy
I’ve heard this story from another creator quite a little bit ago and it is just as maddening now than it was then. I feel so bad for Sophie and hope she is resting in peace and sending all my positive vibes and prayers to her friends and family. Thank you for telling this horrible story that everybody needs to be aware of!!!xoxoxo
Sadly, she decided it would be better to remembered in infamy than live in obscurity.
Reminds me of Meghan markle
@@SadieCleary Me too. Harry's in trouble. I almost feel bad for him.
"Any attention is good attention!"
Let's all collectively decide to forget her. "Sabrina who?"
@@SadieClearyclown stop obsessing cause Harry didn't choose your heavy set ass 😂😂
Sam was an idiot to have a kid with her after all she had done…. if it’s even his 😳
Simp, this is why musculanity should be encouraged in men.
A lot of weak men out here, especially in the west.
He is the definition of a simp ,he is weak ,submissive and would take the girl no matter what she does
Dude, you do AN EXCELLENT JOB on these stories and I like that fact that you tell stories not so popular in the news. Sabrina needs to know she is famous for being “one sick tick!!”
Adrian, Thanks for your sharing, I love to enjoy my hour lunch listening to your channel. Keep it up and will support you from other side of the world, Hong Kong👍
As someone that at 22 yrs old was as skinny, shy, and with a similar name as Sophie, I understand her very much. My heart breaks for her. I hope Sabrina suffers her whole life in prison.
Hi Coffee House Crime. Those idiots were envious & jealous of Sophie's intelligence & beauty inside & out. I hope they rot in prison & hell. Love your channel & hope to see you on the next video, peace, love, Janine Smiley😏🙂😀😙😎🆒️💯❕❗
Let's hope this pair of twisted dark souls never get out of prison .
She's an absolute monster 👹
He's just as bad .
Rot in prison the pair of you go back to hell where you came from.
Love goes out to Sophies family.
Rest easy Sophie in piece and love 🙏 ❤
Its ironic that the bad thing about sabrina is not her being a gold digger, but a mean, selfish gold digger, like even if you beg,you beg with attitude and arrogance, she literally had golden spoons in both his hands,1st with sam and than mark,9 billion usd,if she would have stayed loyal and long enough without any shinanigans,i am sure mark would have aleast given her a couple of billions,or atleast she would be multi millionaire if she had stayed loyal
Yes, I often feel like me having a similar name with someone helps me understand them.
I got chills hearing this... because a lot of this happened to me at the hands of my boss's wife. As a farmhand and au pair in a rural German village I was overworked, underpaid (the exact same amount, too...), screamed at, isolated and had my food withheld. I lived on what I could scrounge from our chickens and the kindness of their grandpa giving me bread and sweets like some Dickensian child. I never thought she would outright kill me, but if I had died I doubt she would have cared. I even considered suicide several times, which she encouraged. If she hadn't been putting on the perfect wife act for her husband I'm sure it would have been way worse. It's terrifying how bad the situation can get, and I know I was lucky to get out as unscathed as I did. Even without such delusions, it needs to be brought to light just how abusive the au pair industry can be, both here and abroad. They just do not see us as human.
I am so sorry to read you have suffered also, very relieved to know you escaped, what horrors
I hope you’re in a better mental place now, and that you’re getting the help for any scars. ❤️🩹
@@SugarandSarcasm I am, thankfully
I’m sorry for what you went through 😢
Stay in or live in workers can easily be taken advantaged and abused. Mostly no freedom, no rest days, not enough food and feeling uneasy when the house owner/ employer is around. Especially when one is working for the not so rich family. They can be calculative and stingy.
I'm extremly sorry Sophie Lionnet. as a father myself this history touched me in very deep way and i really feel devastated for not doing nothing even as i'm not from that country or knew anyone or the history itself. still i'm so sorry for Sophie and i really hope she found peace .
Lol that opening line is straight to the point, no time to waste here. Love your content!!!
Something similar happened to me but I managed to run away. But I tell you - being abused while alone in a foreign country with nobody to turn to for help is the most horryfing thing. Even after 10 years I almost had a breakdown just hearing about this case. Poor poor girl I can imagine what she went through... 😢❤
Oh my, I’m so sorry to hear this; I’m glad you got away, please seek therapy/counselling, it will help you heal.
The entitlement some have to things they don't own or deserve is beyond me.
I just gotta say, I love the narrator's voice. So smooth. Thanks for the great video!
