Update: A little over 3 months in and there are 2 things I’ve noticed. 1. The tires have settled and worn in a little, the road noise has become more mild to moderate. They don’t howl or drone going down the highway but the road noise from the tires is noticeable. They are still at comfortable volume so it isn’t an issue. Even more so when the air and radio are on. 2. These tires seem to be a little lighter in weight than my old M/Ts, however they are likely heavier than a factory street tire so keep that in mind as tire weight can affect your fuel mileage.
@@bobcat718 The worn out mud tires were very loud. The AT-XDs produce moderate road noise, certainly not quiet, however they are still nowhere near as loud as the M/Ts were before.
It’s been about a year now since you posted this video. Any new updates? About how many miles have you put on them? Thank you for making this video. Other than the tire shops and dealers, you seem to be the only individual who has posted anything about these tires.
niiice review, I am having mine installed tomorrow. no one could beat wally world, 234 each with my total otp 1097.00 with road hazard. I have purchased many sets of tires from wally world when I worked as a contractor as I was all over US working and never had any issues.
I am getting a set installed this afternoon on my 2015 Ford F250 4wd. I sure hope they are as good as everyone says!. I'm also going with 35-12.5/20 Putting them on Weld Gauntlet 20x10 wheels.
Those look like solid tires. I just got a new set of tires, it was either the Yokohama XD or the Toyo CT. I went with the toyo just because I was getting a better deal. I had them studded too because they'll be winter dedicated but, it's definitely not something you have to worry about.
Toyo CT is a fantastic tire, underrated and relatively unknown. I have owned/reviewed a few sets of CT, and still currently have a set on both of my Ram Cummins trucks. However, I am seriously considering trying a set of these Yokohama AT XD Curious if they can come close to the phenomenal wear/longevity I have seen from the Toyo CT.
Great video, thanks for the information! How do you compare ride qulaity over the Toyos? I'm debating to get these or the Toyo Rt Trails. Pricing wouldnt be a issue. I'm looking for quality and performance. I'm coming from General Grabber x3 so road noise doesnt bother me. Thank you.
Toyo makes a great tire, they are my overall #1 pick. The ride comparison from the Toyo M/T’s to these Yokohamas was actually pretty similar. The truck doesn’t ride the smoothest anyways but I did not notice much of a difference. Both sets of Toyos I’ve had (M/T and A/T2) rode great, especially for how aggressive and rugged they are. You can’t go wrong with a set of Toyos.
@@ms.annthrope415 I didn’t really notice much on MPG loss. The Toyo M/Ts were slightly heavier; however, the biggest killer is the 20x12 wheel set up in general. Going from my old 16x10 aluminum wheels to the 20’s cost a couple MPGs, easily.
@@ColtonM40 They’ve been great so far! No issues, they do seem to have gotten a little louder but as I said in the video, the truck is already loud so it’s not much of a bother.
@@RoadTraveler I have roughly 7K miles and they don’t really seem to have worn much at all. I haven’t measured with a depth gauge though. I balanced and rotated them at 5k miles. They are holding up very well, the only thing I’ve noticed is the slight increase in noise.

I had these put on my F350.. I can tell you these are awfully LOUD.. Discount Tire was happy to exchange them for Toyo Open country’s.. If road noise doesn’t bother you then you will be fine.. Toyo’s are super quiet compared to these Yokohama’s!!
They sure did go up in price. Thank god for black friday deals. I’m getting them studded for northern winters!

How does the noise compare to your existing tyres ?

@@Rizo42 interesting I might go for the X-AT which should have a little less road noise

Thank you, just ordered them for my 2021 F350, they'll be great in Montana

I need a set of these! Thank you for the review!
G'day mate, 12mths later, how have you found them?
Good review. I like this tyre. I will try them on my Landcruiser here in South Afrika.
Best of the hybrids. I use the MT G003 thats almost like a hybrid a well.

What are you working on?
How much of a fuel penalty did you suffer? I have Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs and they cost me about 2.5 mph loss.

How do they handle standing water on the highway? Notice any hydroplaning?
They seem to do well in the rain. I drive about 10-15minutes of highway everyday to work and rainy days have never been an issue.
